Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By oregonianabroad on Mon 12-May-08 20:14:38
sorry, not a zip in the front if it can be reasonably managed. makes my post-partum tum look lumpy.

I think so.

I live in my version of that skirt, love it.

Is good in winter with tights and boots too.

I got a nice one from Green-house.com

It's not too long. Knee length and I'm not tall.

Button through, so probably not what you want. Also not online in a size 16, but maybe in the shops.

OB sorry for the slight hijack - I've never bought Boden. But that skirt looks lovely. In the sale too. How would it be on a 5 foot nothing short ass?
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By CocodeBear on Mon 12-May-08 20:51:48
I am only 5 ft 4 max and wierdly the skirt is shorter on me than in the pic on the site, so it would most likely be fine.

Is free returns anyway if you order through MN so nothing to lose.
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By oregonianabroad on Mon 12-May-08 20:56:25
hey, do you not get free returns/shipping from boden if it's sale?
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By ElizabethBeresfordSW19 on Mon 12-May-08 21:00:56
I clicked on those shoes and they are so lovely that I have just ordered them in red oregonianabroad. They are perfect. I spend my life looking for shoes that I can WALK in that will also make me taller. I hope they're comfortable though hmm

they do look comfy, don't they?Just ordered them today and I am head over heels (excuse the pun).

I get it now -- you have to open the boden window through MN in order to get free shipping/returns.

Rip, I think you should give it a go.

They look like they have that same curved sole as the 'anti-shoe' or the mbt or whatever they're called. But they are all horrible.

Thanks Cocode - have just ordered!

Plus am seriously considering the shoes. Can't decide whether they'll be too clumpy of me...

Sorry again for the hijack OB.

I liked the red ones too, Elizabeth. Might have to have these in the autumn if they are as comfy as I am hoping.

This is the difference between day & night on MN: I was on here this afternoon asking about those shoes and hardly anyone liked them but me, I thought to hell with it, I'm having them. Now I've started a trend with my cute Boden almost-mini skirt & happy shoes!!

grin

Funny! We'll be good customers, they ought to give out loyalty points, because I thought I might get these ones for autumn/winter if the yuna ones are comfortable!

I know they're a bit clumpy, but under long jeans all you'd see would be a bit of toe peeping out. And if I could walk as though they were trainers, but be 2 inches taller! I would be a happy camper.

You have Oreganonian. Never mind mumsnetters recognising eachother in Sainsbury's, if I see a gorgeous Mum with Yuna shoes I'll be wondering if it's a mumsnetter.

OOh, those are nice! I hadn't seen them.

I was thinking of getting these now for the autumn since they are half price:

these rather.
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By ElizabethBeresfordSW19 on Mon 12-May-08 21:24:41
Nice! Buy now! They'll last for years, you can tell that soul won't wear away. You'd be crazy not to buy them! (I used to say that tapping away on tinternet was a cheap hobby.... )
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By oregonianabroad on Mon 12-May-08 21:33:42
but what would I wear them with, beyond jeans?

(PS, the boots caused the othr purchase, as I had put them in my amazon basket and forgot about it, went back today for something totally unrelated, saw the boots, started shopping, and now here we are, trend setting with Yodas and denim minis!)

Just wanted to come back and say thank you oregonianaboard.

Received my lovely new denim skirt and it's lovely. A bit surprised that it's above my knees even at 5 feet! But tis lovely...
