(514 Posts)
Hmm Amber loves painting drawing. I have to say she is very good - of course I know I am her Mummy but she seems t obe artistic naturally. The girls at the nursery said they were impressed with her art work too [proud emoticon] The first thing she ver drew which we recognised (a spider) we laminated LOL.

Yep cannot wait for whinging to be reduced to 1 instead of 2 smile.
Rumpel my dd started preschool Sept. Was so lovely having some peace wink she loves it and my house is covered in her art work.Sure Amber will enjoy it, they get to be busy and messy somewhere else yay.
Hi all - how are you doing? Amber starts pre-school this week - hurrah! She is awee Madam at times! Calvin is running around now too. Princess - you still working in the same practice or did you move? I started some private lecturing last Thursday - as and wehn needed basis. It was great to get back into it although slightly bizarre.

Nic great to hear from you too. We'll have a party for Amber when she is 4 at a softplay.

Hi everyone, just thought I'd pop in as Toby is 3 on Thursday. I agree with everyone where has that time gone? I remember that long hot summer well.

Hope everyone is well, it's lovely to see some old names on here and how the lo's are doing.

Toby is really excited about his birthday and is having a 'proper' party for the first time on Saturday. 10 3 yr olds will be descending on us!!
hi everyone. long time since i posted too. happy birthday to you all. Hope will be 3 in a week and a bit. Ferdie is almost as big as her and he is 18months. no more babies round here though. don't think i could do it again after the 15 month age gap and the milk intolerance and the menningitis. still get wistful looking at other peoples lovely babies though. am now trying to juggle a bit of work and lots of going backwards and forwards to nursery school and housework etc. currently studying birthday cake recipes for hedgehog shaped cakes whilst waiting for my patient to arrive.
good on you samsmam and others having another
mellin i saw your little one on fb he looks lovely
LOL TOTALLY - I am in 2 minds also. But boy is it knackering! I feel so old and tired.........

My DH is a defo no buit I could use my powers of persuaision but TBH don't know if I have the time, energy or patience for another - always wanted 3 but they drive me crackers sometimes and it is a constant barrage of thankless housework and tidying up sad. Amber was 3 on the 4th - we just celebrated ourselves as we had just returned from centerparcs.

ONLY/EMILY whats fartlebe? Last thing I remember from you was you mc and then you and your partner splitting up - you were moving back in with your Mum I think - I always wondered how you were. Glad to hear all is well.

My Amber is hilarious and downright bloody annoying - boy can that girl whinge! Arggg!
Hi everyone,dd was 3 yesterday and she had a party and great fun.Dont know where the time has gone, her big sisters aged 11 and 14 entertained the little ones at the party and they told me afterwards that they never want kids as its too much work lol.
Hope everyone is keeping well, cant believe how many of you have had more children...although did ask DH about having another and his response was "are you completely mad woman?" hmm dont think that was a yes,so may need to work on him grin

Uh, have a LOVELY DP - we have been together nearly a year, DD just loves him, calls him daddy, and we are all so happy.

Finished my first year at Uni, roll on second year, hard work!!

Working as a photographer part time, weddings etc, also bloody hard work!

Uh... Lola has been potty trained since Jan - which was fab, she is still a monkey about food etc, never mind...

I just love having her, she is the funniest litle person I know

(I really want to have a baby with DP, but will wait, till the time is "right")

Have I missed any thing?

It was dh's birthday today, Kai was so excited, he has been singing 'happy birthday' all day, He helped me make a cake & he made us keep lighting the candles so he could blow them out! He cant wait for his birthday, bless.
Its nice this year where he really understands it all.

Hope everyone else is well x
Hi girls - PURPLE - I remember you BRONZE must have missed you as I didn't discover MN until August and DD was born in Oct.

It was Amber's 3 rd birthday on Sunday past. Wwe went to Center Parcs at Whinfell for 4 dasy the week running up to it - they had a fabby time and we will be back. She went pony trekking, made a teddy, we did the make a memory foot/hand prints with both of them. Sunday we just had a quiet day and she got a lovely pink bike with an Amber name plate on it smile and we baked a heart shaped chocolate cake together (she was insistent on heart shape - lickily I had 1 heart shaped tin) and we made fairy cakes with the remainder of the mix - yummy smile
Pics on FB.

Not time here for anything really - life is a bit hectic with 2 littlies and house, life etc. DH is working F?T and studying a BSC Chem Eng too - so I'm finding it pretty exhausting at the mo'! Calvins' PN club there are some who have 6, 7 and 8 kids shock - they must have got my share of the patience pool wink.
Christmas and new year bronze DS was due the 25/9 and DD the 26/9, Christmas is now cancelled in my house

I hope DD is ok DS had an op 18m ago to seperate webbed toes, I remember how hard it is {{hug}}
Purple makes you wonder what event occurs 9 months before that.

I also have another since then ds 15/04/09. The fourth and final one.

DD is currenlty in hospital with dh waiting to have an op to remove a lump on their neck. Shes suddenly gone from seeming like my big girl to my little baby again
Hiya, I posted a couple of times here when DS was teeny.

I hope all the little ones are doing well, DS starts preschool in January!

Hi all,

samandsophsmam big congratulations!! I am one of three (3 sisters actually) and it is a good balance I reckon. I can quite confidently say however that we will be stopping at 2! I am really struggling with the baby stage second time around and don't think I could do it again. Quite a few mums on my Aug 09 thread have three.

babyducky good to see you on FB. I hade a nosey at your photos - your DS is a cutie. Lovely wedding pics too.

Hi *bronze, I only joined the Oct 06 action on the post-natal threads. Didn't know about mumsnet in my pregnancy days. Can't believe you have to think about school applications already - they still seem so little...,.
thought I would say hello and have a very long catchup

gist for me is I was due oct 06. I used to post on here in the antenatal days but dd was born 3 months prem in the august so has already turned 3 and Ive had her school application through.

Did you all post on here in those days?
Hello everyone, hope you're all well,

samsmam!! shock
congratulations, so pleased for you! x

Yeah I agree, lets try & keep this thread going!

I'm still catching up with all the posts, havent been on here for a while!

congrats on the little boy mellin
I will add you on facebook if you dont mind.

Cant believe we are coming up to the 3rd birthdays!
Has anyone got anything nice planned?
We are having a halloween party this year.

Will catch up properly tomorrow, take care all xxx
Wow Samsmam - again? shock well done. yeah i always wanted 3 too but Amber is just being such a brat at the mo' and DH is studying a BSc and working FT so feel it would be too much to cope with. I go between broody to argg!!!

There are 4 mummies on Calvin's thread who are pg again. My big boy is 14 months now shockxxx

Do you all know what I haven't been able to find this thread for well......... since the last time I posted on here. Not because I didn't want to but when they changed the layout I couldn't work out how to! Be nice to get this thread going again. I am probably hoping too late though!

Well I am pregnant again. Only 6 weeks so am not announcing it in the real world of facebook just yet as there are lots of people that don't know yet.

This is definitely third and final time. Must be mad but I always wanted three children. grin

Hi,
yes on FB <<<<mellindsay at yahoo.com>>>>

I know, I can't believe my DD is turning 3 next month shock. She has been brilliant with the baby so far, very affectionate and helpful. It's just the newborn stage with DS that I find so tiring, after 3 years I'd forgotten how hard this stage is!

Sounds like you are having a well deserved break at the end of the month, hope you all enjoy it. We haven't been on holidays for ages, except for a trip to Australia at Xmas which was a mammoth effort with a two year old.

Is your DD going to nursery or preschool?
Hi Mellin - great to hear from you and very well done on Liam smile. SAMSMAM/BABYDUCKY/TAFFY/GINGEME - were the only ones left on here but are on facebook quite alot - are you on FB?

Can't remember when you were last on but some of the others have other bubbas too now. I have DS Calvin who turned 1 in July and Amber will be 3 shock on Oct 4th!!!
We are going to Centerparcs at the end of this month for 4 nights so really looking forward to it.

Hi Rumpel!
I rediscovered this thread today, after coming back onto Mumsnet after many moons away.

I a now the proud owner of a 4 week old DS called Liam. I must admit that I am finding the re-adjustment to having a newborn in the house a bit of a struggle, but at least this time I know it gets easier!

Anyway I know have more time to MN as I am sat on the couch bf most of the day grin

Hope you and the other Oct 06 ladies are all well.
Looks like this wee thread has died a death sad.
of course i'm friends with ginge too...
yeah, i am on fb. i am friends with babyducky and samsmam on there - are you? If so, look at their friend lists and I am near the bottom - initials SJ - profile pic is me with hubby and 2 kids [paranoid emoticon]
Hi Taffy - yep did it myslef. Amber has a fairy theme on one wall in her room and I am currently working on calvin's room - space theme on one wall with proper constellations and a seascape on the other. Bit more difficult to find the time and peace with 2 though!

Are you on facebook?xx
Hey, Rumpel just me and thee on here now!
Your photos are great. Little one looks soo big now.
I dig the decor in their room - did you paint it yourself. My dd would love a jungle room, she is mad for animals!

I am spamming loads of CMs with a link to the petition at the moment. I set myself a short deadline of 2 months, now I need to do the legwork!
My CM had her ofsted inspection last week and got 'outstanding' - she still wants rid of eyfs though. I don't blame her, just hope she carries on CMing!
Hey Taffy - you are so right.

How is everyone - thread has died a death sad. We are all fine - bit bored of the monotony of housework now - seems never ending and pointless sometimes. Have been for a few job interviews but nowt as yet. I'm hoping my time will be January smile
Started calorie counting to lose the extra 1 and half stones still carrying but Dh said he would rather have me chubby and nice wink bear with sore head due to cake withdrawal LOL!

Put some updated pics on profile if you fancy a gander.

BABY and SAMS - hope you are enjoying married life.

xxxxx
Hey, if you agree my previous message copy and paste it to email and circulate it to anyone! Thanksgrin
40,000 childminders have quit in the last year. This coincides with the introduction of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

EYFS has been introduced to streamline learning and development requirements in all Early Years settings. This means that childminders
are subject to the same paperwork, assessments and observations as nurseries and pre-schools. This is obviously too much to expect of
a single self-employed person.

Childminders' homes are not educational establishments, therefore there should be no need for the childminder to make assessments on
children's learning and development. Until a child attends school it should be their parents job to assess them.

The government's ten year childcare strategy has the slogan 'Choice for parents, the best start for children'. Within the framework of
EYFS, it states the need for consistency between early years settings. This defies such a slogan and actually removes parent
choice.

People tend to choose childminders rather than nurseries because they want a relaxed, informal enviroment for their children - the
requirements of this legislation directly opposes this.

Of course, childminders need regulations and assessments but this current system is really too much to expect of them. As long as a child is
safe and happy surely that is enough.
Many childminders are becoming frustrated becaused they cannot keep up with the paperwork and are leaving in their droves. The knock on
effect of this is that children are losing their beloved carers. They grow attached to their childminders and to have to change carer multiple
times is surely not an ideal situation.

Take 30 seconds out of your day to sign a petition to make childminders exempt from EYFS
petitions.number10.gov.uk/anti-EYFS/

It is completely confidential (OFSTED will not be given your name!). You will receive an email from the no.10 website to confirm your
'signature', but don't worry Gordon Brown will not start spamming you!

T H A N K Y O U !
Hi all,

Baby/Samsmam - just managed a quick peek at your pics - don't get much time for FB. You all looked amazing and so glad you enjoyed it.

Taffy - yep still campaigning - really need to print out a petition and go door to door. I still haven't even visited the place yet - job for this week!

hope you are all well and take care.xx
Congrats babyducky - have looked at the gorgeous photos on fb. Looks like it was a perfect day x

Too busy for computer lately. I have been making my sister a scrapbook for her 40th, with loads of old photos and family tree and stuff- took forever! She was over the moon with it though and we are planning the other sister's for next year - at least I'll have some help this time! I also 'need' to do one for my pils golden wedding anniversary in sept.

great weather here today, nice for kids to be thoroughly entertained by simply playing in the garden, rather than having to go on some excursion!

Owen feeling the heat, he still got that dratted pressure garment on (22 months now - grr), but I guess that means there is still room for improvement. He now has a new cream called kelo-cote which is supposed to work miracles. His arm is ok really, it is almost back to normal colour but it looks a bit bumpy and melted.

Rumpel - how's your creche campaign going - I am tempted to email but you posted it in March and I don't want to rant at them if its already in hand!

My childminder is quitting due to ofsted pressure and loads of paperwork. She finishes next week. I have found a new one who lives near to me but Owen is so happy with the current one though and I hope the change doesn't upset him too much. I feel like writing to ofsted to complain about all the hoops they are making these childminders jump through but I can't find anything online in black and white about all their ridiculous stipulations. They have totally missed the point about parents wanting an informal environment for their kids and making these people do observations and assessments on their mindees. Anyone else use a childminder, are they feeling the pressure too?

gotta go, glad the thread still exists - i thought it might have died! x

SAMSMAM - how is your prep coming along? I start pole dancing classes on wednesday in my never ending quest for weight loss grin
Did them after having Amber and they are really hard but great for toning up.
Hi all,

Aw gingeme your boys sound so cute, saw the birthday party pics on facebook,

Rumpel, i've got 2 weeks to go now, everything is all sorted i think, we had the rehearsal at church yesterday, I thought I would feel really nervous by now, but I dont at all! I'm sure the nerves will start to kick in soon though!
I'm just really excited now, grin

How was the ann summers party?!

Samsmam, Like your hen night pics, what else you still got to do?
Cant believe how quick its come round!
Dp had his stag night last night aswell, he has been asleep nearly all day today, hee hee.

Kai's doing really well, his talking has improved loads, he is starting playschool after the wedding.

Hope everyone else is ok, I prob wont get a chance to come on here before the wedding so I will spk to you all after, will put the pics on straight away grin
my hen night pics are on fb,

Lol blonde moment. I'm a natural ginger now thanks wink
Wow I havn't been to an Anne Summers do in years. They are great fun but the undies are a bit pricey.
Yes I know what you mean about the love hate relationship. Edward and George can be just the same but usualy its a bite rather than a wallop. Which can be quite painful as George has 16 teeth already shock and Ive been the vicitm of a few nips from him too hmm
I chat to Samsam on Face book quite alot and shes looking fab with the weightloss. Wish I had the willpower to even get to the end of the week without choc sad
What type of dance classes? Ballet? Aw I remember going to ballet when I was little. I loved it smile
Well off for a shower before my programme at 9.
Wish you all well xx
GINGEME -sokay - I get confuzzed too - I forgive your 'blonde' moment wink

DH been away for a week now and am shattered - had a very busy week t aking the DCs her there and everywhere - got a netmums meet tomorrow and getting my hair done (at long last) on Wednesday (DH is home WED night). Then Friday night I'm having an Anne Summers!!! Should be a giggle.

BABY - how long now and how are things going?

SAMSMAM - how long for you and how are your preps too?

TAFFY - how is Owen getting on these days?

Amber is fine - having a ball at the mo' and fab with her wee B. Very funny watching them giggle together - although she can be a bit mean too - eg love, kiss wallop!

She asked about dancing classes so must book her in next week.

Am off to relax.xx
Rumpel I hang my head in shame blush you have a little chap don't you? I'm sorry love!!
Evening ladies smile How are we all? Have I missed loads?
Hi Rumple How are the girls doing?
Anyone else had another lo or pg?
All well here. The boys are all great smile
Edward is gorgeous, well thats my opinion anyway. Hes a brilliant big brother but ofcourse has his moments hmm
Going on our first family holiday aroad to Tenerife in August. Had fun getting the passports (not) but all done now.
Edward goes to plygroup Wed,Thurs,Fri mornings and loving it. It was the same one David went to so he knows the lady who runs it.
George is a bum. He's definately part mountain goat. He climbs on everything falls off some but carrys on climbing hmm
David has just turned 5. Had a fab party for him last Saturday. He is into Ben10 big time so we had a Ben10 party. He loved it.
My big boys are doing just fine at their Dads. They were here for half term and we all had great fun. George is getting used to seeing them a bit more now which is good.
So what has everyone been up to?
Wow BABY - have a fab time on Saturday. I went with a load of pals and my Mum to Amsterdam for the weekend for mine smile then had another one in the town I used to live going around the pubs and clubbing and did the whole potty/kiss for the bride thing and made £140+. Was great smile

Went back to the same place in Amsterdam the following year for my friends - we did the whole sex show thing for hers - not my cup of tea really but Amsterdam is lovely.

You'll not feel like going anywhere after a pampering day though - you'll just want to chill grinPics please after though.

SAMSMAM - how are you?

My Dh has been away all this week and I have been scoffing wine and rubbish and put on 3lbs sad I really need to get a grip!

I am campaigning at the mo' for my local sports palce to open a creche so if you ladies were feeling nice you could email them and support my cause:

askus@activestirling.org

Take care all
xx
Hello,

samsmam- my dress is alfred angelo too! Show us a pic!

Its my hen night sat, I'm having a girly pampering day with my bridesmaids, then we're going for a chinese & to a club, we are going in a limo too grin

rumpel- yep I'm stressed & frazzled, hee hee, & excited of course, its all the little things that are stressing me, like people not rsvp ing! grrrrr, & I keep changing my mind on what to put on the tables, def dont want flowers, might have candles on mirrors & little table diamonds, but i'd also quite like to have bowls of sweets, all different gold ones, (our colours are gold and ivory aswell) but i will probs just end up having a few balloon because it'll be so much easier, oh i dunno.

Everything else is near enough sorted now, you all organised samsmam?

I've only got 5 weeks to go now! shock

hope everyone else is well, speak to you all soon, xxx
Hi all, quiet on here everyone off FBking! BABY - not long now -ooooooooowwwwwwwww! How excited/stressed/frazzled are you? LOL

SAMSMAM - that is fab weight loss - so jealous it's bloody hard work. I was going to join the new local state of the art gym but can you believe they don't have a creche! angry how crap is that for a new huge sports stadium in a city. Butterflies sounds intriguing - how are they incorporated? Are you going to have a Heston Blumenthal type cake with butterflies fluttering out smile?

DH is away for a week working. Got a nemtmums meet tomorrow many more people this time around so should be good. Friday we are off to the baby pics - first time Amber has been to the flicks - monsters vs aliens- just hope she manages to sit through it.

Hope you are all well - TAFFY how are you these days?

GINGEME is always on FB so not here so much now. She did get amention in the Mumsnet toddlers guide though smile She was quoted!

xxx
Oops really should check my typos! grin
Rumpel- Ahhhh you are right all those pregnancy feelings and the after depressive bits. It's all coming back to me now! Not to mention how hard it is to lose the weight. sad Lost 15.5lb in the last 6 weeks but still two stone to go before wedding. Hmmmm, prob not but I am going to give it a go!

I would like a third child definitely but I will think seriously about it before hand. I couldn't do it where I living now but we hope to move to a house in August.

Babyducky- my dress is ine of the Alfred Angelo range. Its ivory, no sleeves, hard to explain shall have to post you a link.
We haven't got our wedding bands yet, DP doesn't want to wear one but I want him to- guess who won. grin
Had my hair and make up trial the other day I was amazed at this very clever lady! Got my hen do on 25th April of to ice bar via limo. What you doing babyducky?

My theme is gold and ivory and butterflies, I shall post lots of pictures once they are avaialble. Ohhhh I may even make a montage! I haven't even made one of those for little Sophie yet. May be I shall!

Right I'm on a night shift tonight 8pm-8am. It really upsets my body clock, I have to do it again tomorrow night too...... oh well it pays some bills.
I will put pics on here rumpel, yeah im on facebook, are you? add me if you are- bendybex@aol.com

I cannot decide how to have my hair, Ive got my trial in 2 weeks, will probs have it half up & half down with some of it curly.

Make up- not sure about that either! Im having the trial for that on my hen night which is in 3 weeks! Cant wait!
Favours-I'm just having little ivory bags with gold choc hearts, & I'm doing gold boxes for the kids with sweets & colouring books etc in.

We've chosen our rings now, at last, its taken us so long to choose because we wanted matching ones, but we just couldnt agree on any! All the ones dp liked were too plain for me, & all the ones I liked dp thought they were too sparkly! So we gave up on the matching idea & he has just got a plain gold one & I've got a nice sparkly looking one! grin

Samsmam- what is your wedding dress like?
Cant wait to see your pics!

Do U think you will have another baby?
I cant wait to have another one!

Taffy & gingeme where are you??!! smile
OMG - my typos were atrocious!! SAMSMAM - great to hear from you - you sound happy. Poor Samantha tonsillitis is horrid - I used to get it all the time. BROODY - remember how crap you feel when pregnant and how you get a bit depressed afterwards!! I have gone off the idea now - am absolutley shattered - if you are not up with one you are up with another - how do you do it GINGEME!! A had me up at 5.30 yesterday and 5am this morning.

Off to baby flicks tomorrow meeting some more netmums Valkyrie - not really my bag but hey ho.

Then much more my cup of tea - a comp health show on Saturday sans kids grin

Hope you are well - TAFFY how you doing?

xxxx
Hi all, I haven't posted on here for ages! Facebook seems to have over taken my Mumsnet life and that isn't very good, so I shall try and pop back here more often.
Not much happening here, Sophie was 1 last week and Samantha is growing up quickly she chats for England, I love the way I can have a full conversation with her now.
We seem to have slipped with her sleeping though she is waking in the night and won't sleep till she in our bed. I'm so tired especially as I am now working 12 hour shifts three times a week. We are hoping that when she has her tonsils and adenoids removed that she will breathe better and she will have more undisturbed sleep. Tonsilltus nine times in six months is no fun sad

My wedding is less than three months away. And I am nearky ready now. Just the little bits to do. Presents and table decorations, name place cards and table planning.... oh dear I'd better not think about it the list will get to big.

Rumpel- hope you have a lovely night you and Hubby. Ooooo I'll have a hubby soon.
And yes I have a friend who HATES me having other friends!

Well if I carry on I will be chatting forever I haven't been on here for so long!

I am getting broody too.... what is all that about!!!! hmm
Hi - internet playing up for ages but hopefully fixed now. Night out I got tired around 10pm but got second wind and got in at 1.45am shock I didn't even call Al - how thoughtless of me - he was worried - he always calls me if he is out.
Had alovely meal and then went to a pub - the City Walls in the city walls of Stirling. There were a few too many people to chat properly though IYKWIM. Had to get up to A at 3am then was awake with Cal every 30 mins or so!!! aRGGGG!

cALVIN IS FEELING MUCH BETTER NOW THOUGH - HAD HIM AT THE gp LAST WEEK - YET ANOTHER VIRUSY THING. oops - caps?

Was at a Christening on Sunday and it was lovely - met my new friends folks and family and Amber ran around with the girls. Met one of her friends but she was then all weird weird with my friend afterwards - have nay of you ever had a friend that is jealous of you having other friends IYKWIM? it's mad - like being 14 again.

Had soem girls/babies around today and we had a good whinger etc so that was nice too.

My Mammy is conming down next week - it's our 6 Wed Anni so Mum is going to lokk after DCs so we can go to a hotel on Saturday 22 night - WHOOPEE!!!!!!!!!
Swim/steam/champagne/dinner/bed -huge sleep.

BABY - I demand to see pics - are you on facebook? Bet you are really exicted/scared now? What you doing about hair/make-up and favours? Attire sounds very elegant - what's Kai going to bed donned in?

Hope the rest of you are wellxxx
Hi rumpel,

I'm having an ivory dress, with little sparkly bits on, it ties up at the back like a corset, sucks my stomach right in! grin
Its got quite a big train, need to practice walking in it!

Dp & best man etc are wearing black prince edward suits, ivory waiscoats, & gold tie, bridesmaids have got gold dresses & pageboys are wearing black suits & gold waistcoats.

We are getting married at the church I got christened at, I lived around there till I was 16, it'll be nice to go back there.

We've just booked a soul singer for the evening, he's really good, now just trying to sort out little bits like balloons & flowers for the tables, the only big thing left to do is get the rings, everything else is sorted now, so thats good.

How did your night out go??
Hope u had fun!

Amber sounds so cute, very cheeky!

Hi All,

BABY - good to hear Kais' skin is better. Countdown to the wedding now - are you going to tell us some details - where, what, food, dress etc? Pictures after the event would be lovely to.

TAFFY - 3 of my ghost shrimp died and 1 had disappeared! I managed to save 1 big one and it seeems to be ok. The FS person gave me some stuff to help with algae control and I later found out that shrimp are very sensitive to chemicals so it could be the reason they snuffed it. I bought 3 cherry shrimp but can't see them! My tank is so cloudy and green. I replaced half the water last week and got a hoover cleaner this week so I'll do that tomorrow. I have 2 moonlight gouramis and 1 is very aggressive! They are fab though - I don't like putting my hand in the water so I just bought some pond gloves LOL.

I have a girls night out on Friday - shock It's with the girls I met at the Mummy baby group I used to go to with Calvin and 1 of my neighbours whom I met at the last netmums meet-up I organised. I'm a bit nervous as I haven't been out with just women for 3 years!!! shock It will be a good laugh I'm sure.

Then on Sunday the kids and I are off to a Christening. I met alovely girl through netmums and we get on like ahouse on fire. She has 3 girls, 1 of 6 months, 1 of 3 and 1 who will be 5 next week. They have been coming over on a Friday afternoon and Amber and the girls have been having a fab time
--destroying the house-- playing! next week I am off to a complementary health fair. it's good to have some friends again - they are new friends but I am hoping they will become great friends - I think every girl needs girlfriends - we all need somoen to cry with, whinge with, laugh with etc. I have been badly let down by friends before so I am a bit wary but you can't live your life not trusting anyone eh?

Anyway enough of my ramblings - hope you and all your littlies are well. Amber is a riot now - the things she comes out with. She is the flatulance police grin SHOUTING - 'Trumpy bum Daddy?' He went to pick her up form nursery today and she said 'I'm busy Daddy' she is a cheeky wee minx.

Hey,

Yeah its terrible about jade, so sad

We are pretty much organised thanks rumpel,10 weeks now! grin

hi taffy, kai's eczema is ok now, he just has 1 little red patch on his face which flares up now and again, he has dry patches on his fingers knees & elbows though, we use aveeno lotion all over his body at least twice a day which keeps it under control, we tried so many different creams but have found aveeno the best.

We do sometimes use the steroid cream on his face but hardly ever now.

yeah rumpel has given me loads of good advice about it!
I dont use hardly any cleaning products now, still use some, but try & use more natural things, def no air fresheners! Think they are the worst thing, I made my own lavender one & use oil burners instead.

Where is everyone else??!!!
xxxx
Rumpel - I agree about Jade. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. It is the boys you gotta feel sorry for really isn't it.
Re fish, DH is always testing the water for nitrite/nitrate (dunno), we have lots of plants so I think its doing ok. He bought a thai fighting fish the other week, he's a big splash of colour and he upset the honey gouramis but they;ve settled down now. Its very therapeutic to watch them. Our water went browny at first cos we had a big piece of bog wood in there so had to remove it and soak for about a week outside!

Babyducky - exciting time with your wedding coming up. You are doing really well not eating cheese or choccy!
How is Kai's eczema? Owen is suffering with it these days, on backs of knees and inside one elbow. Have tried a couple of organic remedies, plus diprobase and epaderm. Ended up getting a steroid cream from drs which works but I soon as we stop using it, it flares up again.
I seem to remember rumpel telling you not to use loads of cleaning stuff in the house - I am not too house proud, so I can't blame that!
Good news that Kai's picked up with his speech. He is probably fine, but we can't help but compare their development to other kids we know of the same age can we?
TAFFY - we had ours empty for a few weeks then plants then fish - tee hee. You are supposed to to get the bacterial cycle going?
Our water is quite green and cloudy now though - very hard to see our wee totie shrimps sad. Have had hardly any me time on Wednesdays so far - one of them always seems to be ill and off! Grrrr.

BABYDUCKY - I've lost 1 stone and 1/2lb now smile It is very very hard. Only 11 weeks to go - scary stuff. are you organised?

Feel so sorry for Jade goody but can't help thinking that Tweed bloke is an arse and I do hope she doesn't leave him anything - I can see that she wants something nice before she goes but he is such a toss pot - you can just see him selling his story for the next eons to get the dosh. Feel so sorry for her boys sad

Hi everyone else hope you are all well.xxxxx
Hi all,
soooooo quiet on here!
Hope everyones doing ok.

Rumpel, our wedding is 9th may, 12 weeks away!!!! I'm so excited!

I've met a couple of people off netmums since we moved house.
Finally starting to meet people here.

I've lost a stone now, still got another stone to go! I done it by cutting out bread, cheese and chocolate! Its so hard!

Hey taffy,
How are you? Kai's speech has improved a lot the last few weeks he has learnt loads of new words & is really trying to put sentences together now, so thats good, we are still taking him to a therapist though, as he is still behind but at least he's finally improving!

Hows everyone going with potty training?

take care all
x
Gawd - not been on here for ages. I am not addicted to FB, RL is definitely too busy.

Exciting stuff your wedding babyducky. I look forward to the pics on here.
good luck with speech therapy. sounds like you have picked up on the problem early. There's a boy in dds class who has started speech therapy and he is 5.

Rumpel we have tropical fish (not the marine type), DH bought it all last year after 10 years of deliberating over it! We had a tank full of plants for a few weeks before he dared put any fish in! They seem to be doing quite well - not many deaths so far! Owen loves feeding them and waves to them shouting 'hello fish' - cute!
I bet your 'free' time on a wednesday flies by. Sounds like you are settling in. I've been on netmums site - is quite useful.

weightloss - i dont know what i weigh but my trousers are tight and i refuse to buy bigger ones. Must stop eating cake
Hi Everyone,

quiet on here now - we're all too busy in RL! or some of you on FB! When's the wedding date BABYDUCKY? Can't believe it is that soon - bet you are getting excited now.

We're all fine just busy. Amber and Calvin are both at nursery on a Wednesday so I ahve been trying to decorate the house at long last. We got a tropical fish tank a few weeks ago so we are building up our fish and generally doing 'stuff' about the house. I have also started meeting people and trying to make new friends at long last.

I have become the Chairmum in my area for netmums and am organising meet-ups once a month for Mummies and Mummies to be. Only had 1 so far but hopefully more will come this month.

Calvin is getting a big gorgeous boy - he is so good natured, I love him to bits and Amber is cheeky, loud and adorable but does my box in big time sometimes grin She is a good girl but very very strong willed and precocious (no idea where she gets that from wink

The weight loss is slow - although I have started back at tap and bellydacning and am now practising pilates/weights and dacning in the house so hopefully it'll shift a bit more soon - still got another 1.5 stone to lose.

Hope you are all well and enjoying life take care all
xxxx
Good morning everyone,

Well done majormoo & effie & congratulations to mellin aswell.

Did everyone have a nice christmas?
We had a nice quiet one at home.

We are taking kai to a speech therapist, he's still not saying much, he cant really say any proper sentences, he is getting very frustrated with it aswell, if we try to get him to say something that he knows he cant say he wont even try anymore, he just has a tantrum! He understands everything we say but he just cant get his words out. I just dont really know what else to do.

How are all your boys gingeme? I cant believe george is 1 already!

Rumpel- hows your weight loss going? I'm back on a diet now, i lost 5lb last week, was very impressed!
Are you on facebook now?

Samsmam- havent seen you around for a while, hope your all ok.
How are your wedding plans going?
Less than 4 months till ours now!
I've got my 1st dress fitting in a few weeks.

Taffy-hope you're well.

Take care everyone xxx

Hi All-hope you had all had a good Christmas and Happy New Year and congrats Mellin.
Thanks for asking after me Rumpel. Since having Jesse on 19th things have been chaotic to say the least so have hardly been on to catch up and by the time I do catch up there seems to be no time to post!
Anyway DS2 is doing well and his birth was fab-waterbirth at the local birthing centre. DD's first day back at school today and felt it a massive achievement just to get her there on time. Having three children is pretty hectic-am very impressed Gingeme that you managed 5!!
CONGRATULATIONS Effie and majormoo!!

Hope everyone had a good christmas/new year.
Life gets back to normal this week - school on monday yeehah! Seriously dd is so bored at home but insists she doesn't want to go back to school!

Owen had trainset for xmas - v. cheap wood one from woolworths (where will we shop next yr?) that thomas + friends fits on and I bought a real thomas draw bridge off ebay for £1.04 - bargain! DD had lots of jungle in my pocket which is the latest fad!

Rumpel - Calvin sounds as if he is growing really fast. My children are always in a size 6 months smaller! But there again their mum is only 4' 10"!!
Majormoo had a wee boy Jesse on the 19th December smile well done!
Had a quick shufty for EFFIE and MAJORMOO - EFFIE had a big boy - Maxamilian (sp?) on the 1st can't find MAJORMOO - she may have name changed.

Well done EFFIE! smile
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a fabby time over the festive period.
We have spent the time trying to sort out the house and put Calvin in his own room the last 2 nights but no sleep as he is a wee sook and wants his Mammy all the time. Am so tired.

I've found that Af after having babies is really heavy and I get major PMT now sad - even though I take agnus castus - it's pants I feel so tired and washed out.

Amber got a cooker (amongst many other things) and is having a great time cooking with it, also she adores dancing and singing around the conservatory to her nursery rhymes cd - feel if I hear Do you know the muffin man one more time I may just collapse into a blubbering, dribbling, heap shock

Calvin is huge - I had to buy him 12-18 months babygrows for Christmas - he is 25 weeks on Tuesday! I must get around to uploading more photos.

Hope you are all well and life is good.xxx
Hi ladies.
You don't need an address Rumple just log in to facebook and type in the find friends bit my name (Wendy Brydon) and youll recognise me grin then youll see everyone there.
Well we all seem to be on the mend at last. Poor David has still got his cough though sad its realy playing with his sleep poor love.
I took him to see Peter Pan on ice at our local rink on Sunday. A rl friends son played Michael in it . Oh it was wonderful.
Edwrad loves singing twinkle twinkle now too and sing 'are' and 'star' realy loud. H eloves wind the bobbin up and ofcourse wheels on the bus.
He has another molar through at the bottom. Just 4 more to go now.
We have bought him a play oven for Christmas off Ebay. Went to ToyRUs tonight to get him some pand and play food to go with it.
George is just gorgeous. Slept right through for the first time last night. Just hoping against hope its not a one offhmm
Well I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas and Santa brings you all your wished for.
Take care ladies XXXXX

Hi everyone,

Just popped in to wish you all merry christmas and a happy new year with the little ones. I never seem to get a chance to get on Mumsnet these days, I hope everyone is doing well.

Have been scanning the thread and am very impressed how everyone is coping with more than one child! Hopefully me too, as have found out this month that I am pregnant! Due in Aug 09.

We are leaving tomorrow for 3 weeks in Australia, am looking forward to the summer and sunshine (but not the 23 hour plane ride with a 2 year old!)

Take care everyone
Mellin xx
Hi all,

Busy busy busy here but just wanted to wish you all a merry christmas!
Hope everyones doing ok, smile

Catch up with you all soon xxx

Hi all,

How are you all doing? Taffy - Amber doesn't mind sitting in her own kack but Calvin screams like a banshee until you change him. She is so funny - a right little Madam now - bossing everyone about and talking away - she is singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star all the time just now grin Still trying to potty train her hmm long process but hey ho. We've all been down with the lurgy too poor Calvin has a terrible rattly cough wee soul.

he started nursery last week for a couple of hours and starts the full day Wenesday in January - I kept wandering around the house thinking I'd forgotten something grin

Can you give me your facebook address GINGME-- then I can get SAMSMAM etc from your if that's ok?

Mostly organised here for Xmas - just the 4 of us. We went to visit the ILs at the weekend for 2 nights as they hadn't seen C since he was 10 days old - he's 22 weeks this Tuesday and 19lb and 74cms long!! shock he is gorgeous and I just love him so much now - remember I couldn't stand him at the beginning? It was so hard but he is a lovely wee chappie now and just smiles and wants cuddles. His glorious red hair is coming in thick and fast now too - must update the photos.

MAJORMOO AND EFFIEPERRIN will be due around about now? Wonder how they are.

Must go as as I can hear my wee chappie crying. Take care all xxxx
10 days till the big day!!

I have looked at your montage ginge - you look good as morticia - did you notice my lovely orange daphne wig?
Sounds like edward is ready for toilet - good idea to forgo the potty. Owen has shown no interest in toilet/potty yet. He hates having his nappy changed so must like sitting in poo (just like his sister did) so will be a long job convincing him to stay clean!

Did I tell you dd won us a weekend away? It was a photo competition at school and we won a weekend at a holiday inn in leeds of all places. We went a few weeks ago but spent a day in York. If anyone ever goes to York you MUST take your kids to the National Railway Museum. I am not really moved by trains but I and DH and kids spent a good 3 hours there without getting bored - and its free!!

Snot galore here too, owen has learnt to say snotty nose and wipe his own nose - bless. DD is gross and eats hers (she is so unlady-like).

Have borrowed Nigella Christmas book from library and am full of wonderful ideas for xmas food, but have not got the skill/time/money! but its a lovely book, might buy it in jan sales! i think she is on tv tonight toosmile
Hi everyone.
Taffy great montage. Have you checked out mine yet?
Rumple how are things going? How are you coping with two little ones?
Its a snot fest here at the moment. We all have a horrible cold sad Looks like a mini chemist in our kitchen.
We are thinking of potty training Edward after Christmas. He tells us all the time he needs a wee or pooh. Especialy when David goes before dinner or we go out. I am going to try him straight on the toilet instead of a potty. Apart from the fact that he sees everyone else going on the toilet I can imagine George picking the potty up after Edward has finnished and covering himself in its contents hmm
George is doing well. Not quite walking yet but oh so close. Just loves being upright.
Realy looking forward to Christmas now. Nearly have all the shopping done now. We will be spending Christmas Day at my s i l which will be great with her 4 kids too all playing together grin
Well I hope yuo are keeping well.
Take care all xxxxx
hey everyone, I keep meaning to post on here then getting distracted, normally by facebook! Hee Hee,

Taffy- there is not an actual page on fb for chatting but you can write on peoples walls or there is a little chat box at the bottom where you can have a private conversation with someone, like msn.
I mainly go on there to nose at other peoples photos! grin

Your montage is lovely, owen is a cutie, so is your dd.

I will do one from kais bday when I get round to it.

Hows everyone else?

All ok here, just trying to get sorted for xmas, we are staying at home this year, just us 3, cant wait!

take care everyone xx
oh no, our thread is dying! Everyone keeps going on facebook instead, but I don't really get it - I need facebook lessons. Is there a chatty page like this one? Or is it just comments on the wall?!

Have you watched all those casualties yet rumpel? How is potty training going? Not attempting it here yet.

I'm really tired, I've been working extra as someone is off sick. Its terrible finishing at 5pm with the rest of the world. Its dark and there's loads of traffic going home. Oh well, it is not purely out of the goodness of my heart that I am doing it, need some dosh for xmas and beyond.

Ooh here's a long overdue link to halloween!
here

Can't believe that was a month ago. Time flies
GINGEME - I'll have you know I am EXCELLENT at spelling - my brain just goes faster than me fingers and I can't be arsed fixing all my typos blush

Nah it's back to normal now sad Went to meet a new friend today - been emailing her for ages, got totally lost, was all sweaty and panicking, finally found the place and Amber puked all over herself and the carseat - bleurgh the smell is hideous shock The I gave Calvin his bottle and he puked all over me and him sad Just 'cos I made the effort to look half decent for a change hmm DH is off to Glasgow to see Extremem tonight so I have Disprolled them up and am about to put them to bed so I can have ashower - to remove pukey smeel and kick back with a G+T and about 7 casualtys I need to catch up on!
Blimey our spellings getting bad isn't it ? wink
Wow Rumple you have her well trained smile
Hi all - just a quickie to say hello. Must upload halloween photos too. GINGEME - I cam downstairs theother day to the washing having been taken out of the machine, put in the laundry bag and hung up over the clothes horse smile of course some of it was strewn across the floor hmm. Also she likes to take away cups, plates etc and put them either in the sink or the dishwasher.

We had a breakthrough yesterday a poo and a pee in the potty - so a star was affixed to the book but back to normal today - oh well.

must go off to my bath
nite allxxx
Evening ladies.
How is everyone?
Edward has been a real star at plstgroup. He just loves it and is following in his brothers footsteps at charming the teacher grin He tries to be helpful at home too but he gets the bin and sink mixed up and we have often found ourselves digging his cup out of the bin hmm
I sorted out all ds3's old clothes for Edward. Kepp putting stuff on him and saying 'I remember when David wore that!'.
George has a habit of crawking under things. Got himself stuck under our bed the other day and banged his head under our coffee table hmm
Well all are well here. Hope you all are xxx
morning all

havent been on for a while, have been feeling really stressed, loads of hassle with our ex landlord, didnt give us our deposit back, well only half of it, ending up in a big row & he threatened to take us to court! angry

Kai was 2 last monday, had a lovely day.

Like your pics from edwards birthday gingeme!
Glad he likes playgroup.

Samsmam- hows your new job going?

Hows potty training going rumpel?

hope everyone else is ok!

Awful weather here today, gonna get all kai's colouring stuff and paints out & stay in all day!

xxx
Wow welcome EffiePerrin. I sympathise with your enourmasty. Remember being like that this time last year smileAll the luck in the world with getting a house. Don't envy you at all. I still have pics somewhere of our meetup in the giraffe cafe on the Thames. How your little fella was eating toast and we were all marveling at how advanced he was smile. Seems like a whole life time ago doesn't it? Well take care. Pop back soon. xx
hello, haven't posted for ages! DS is also chatting away now, he's starting to put together little sentences which is very funny. I'm HUGE and this baby isn't due for another couple of months, goodness knows what I'll look like by the end. People are asking me when I'm due then trying to hide the shock! Not sure if this will be our last, we'll see how we cope with 2 I think. I'd quite like another but I'm saying that before I have to deal with a newborn and a toddler!

Hope everyone is well and enjoyed all the birthdays and parties. We got DS a little trike which he loves. We've also finally put our flat on the market and are looking at houses (!) so may actually get ourselves moved out of London at some point...
Happy Birthday to all our 2 year olds smile
Edward went to playschool for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it. No problems leaving him on his own thank goodness.,
He is going Wednesday and Thursdays.
My birthday today. I asked ds3 how old I was and he answered 13. Cool. I don't mind being 13 grin
Well I hope everyone is ok and your not having too bad a terrible twos!!!
Thankyou Taffy1. Beware facebook is nearly as addictive s MN smile
Just got back from playgroup Edward is going to on a Wednesday and Thursday morning. He loved it. Just hope he's the same when I leave him. David went there so I know its a good playgroup.
Its realy freezing today. Think its time to hybernate .
Happy birthdays, busy month for us all.
babyducky, Am I right in thinking Kai's birthday is around now??? have a good one!

Owen had a good halloween party. Will try and post pics but cannot access them on DH file atm.
Owen would not wear his cute ghosty outfit I got for him, but he wore a spider top and had scary birdnest hair! DD was scooby doo and I was daphne, dh was shaggy(ish), well he had a green t-shirt! The house is now full of boys toys - lots of vehicles to trip over and we finally have a rug in our conservatory - a road mat!!

Samsmam - those shifts sound like a killer (she who sheepishly works 5 hours a day) your little ones WILL enjoy nursery though, and you'll be really offended when they don't get upset about it!

Well, the MN email about what to expect at the age of 2 mentions at least one tantrum a day, I counted 3 today, so the terrible twos have officially startedgrin

was trying to get to grips with facebook last night hmm i am not addicted yet...
Saw your brilliant montage though ginge - you do a great morticia! and your house was full of cute little ghouls.

Gonna go and eat birthday cake now - bye xx
Rumpel I thought that but dh informed me they don't get a free place till theyre 3! We are puting Edward into a morning playgroup/nursery Wed and Thurs. The same one David went to. Gonna pop in tommorrow morning for him to check it out.
Good luck Samsam xx
Hey SAMSMAM you need to name change now grin poor you - sending sympathy vibes and foot pepping up vibes. the kids will adore nursery - it is great for them. If we could afford it I'd send Amber another day instead of just 1. Calvin starts in January the same day as Amber so I get a whole day to myself!!! grin grin grin I think they should all be getting free 16.5 hours soon - is that right GINGEME?
Hi All,
I have now gone back to work and am stuggling- I am work as a maternity care assistant at my local hospital- I love the job but the 8-8.15pm shifts are killing me!

Rumpel- I know what you mean about not having anymore. DP really wants me to have another one but I am really struggling to lose this last 2.5 stone, getting married in May so we shall see. For now though I will carry on with my diet. She says eating a chocolate chip muffin!! hmm Everything is just soooo hard. sad
Glad Calvin is doing well. I have decided to start Samantha potty training after Xmas.

Both children are starting two afternoons at nursery this week, I am really worried about it. sad Not my ideal but I am assured that 6 hours a week is not going to harm them!

Happy Birthday to all the little ones that I have missed since I last posted. smile

Have a good Sunday afternoon all xx
LOL grin
Really GINGEME? You'd never know! wink
Thanks Rumpel, prefer that name to wobblyweeble tbh smile
Dh other dc's oh yeah he has two grown up boys too. Daryl is 21 on Boxing Day and Adrian was 19 yesterday! 7 boys between us shock. Ha ha theyre too full of themselves to think of having babys just yet but hey I wouldn't mind. Love babys me wink.
Aww GINGEME they are sooooo cute smile David looks like you. Didn't realise your Dh had other kids too - what age are they then and are you a step-granny yet wink Just imagine how many Grandkids you are gonna end up with - better start saving now wink

Amber all dressed up in her witchy costume today and Calvin in his Mummy outfit - I don't need to put a costume on - I have my natural Mitchelin Mummy outfit on - shame I can't take it off! wink

Have a fab weekend all and happy guising!
Morning all.
H ave posted pics of Edwards party. He seems so grown up all of a sudden shock He is saying lots of words now and realy getting his point across when he needs to wink
David has been having swimming lessons this week. He is realy enjoting them and doing realy well. Its a shame its his last one today sad George is trying to stand alone now. He can be quite scary sometimes at how daring he is. Little sod grin
Aw Calvin sounds gorgeous. Potty training already! Your brave. Bit early in my opinion but hey thats up to you innit?
Hope everyone else is keeping well and all the o6 babys are doing well xxxx

GINGEME = piccies please smile I thought some of the original Oct 06 ladies might have popped in to say hi and let us know how they all are hmm shame would be nice to know. We have not heard form Princess for ages either - hope she is okay.

Put a whole load of maternity stuff and baby clothes on ebay today sad no more babies for us. My hormones say yeah I'd love another , my head says no way - detest being preggers - feel so ill, want a bit of a life back and to feel well and good about myself again, lose weight and get fit again and DH couldn't cope either but hey ho that is a woman's body for you!

Calvin is a really happy wee soul now - just discovered his hands and started giggling grin Mind you he is not so wee - 16lbs now - he is 15 weeks on Tuesday and he is 66 cm long feet in size 2 shoes already!!

Trying to potty train Amber at the mo' - not doing so well. Bought her books, pants etc but she really is a minker! Quite happy to lounge about in her own caked on poo all day shock Calvin hates having a dirty bum and screams the place down - not so DD wee stinker!!

How are you all getting on?
Ah thankyou ladies. You are clever for remembering. Yes the party was fantastic if a little busy and hot. Edward got loads of great stuff. Loads of books and a fantastic Iggle Piggle proper size blanket for his bed.
We are all knackered today because of a disturbed night and losing an hour but hey thats parenthood for ya!

Hope you had a fabby birthday Edward! Hope all the other terrible twos are doing well - busy busy here as per usual. Ikea yesterday trying to get storage for toys etc and trying to organise house a tad.

xxxxx
happy birthday edward!

hope you all enjoy the party gingeme x
Hello!! Any more birthdays to report? hello hello. xx
Ha ha your joking aren't you? No all costumes curtosy of Asda or Tesco. grin
wow gingeme that sounds brilliant!

Did you make all the costumes?

I love halloween! grin
Hi babyducky
From eldest to youngest:
dh- Grim reaper
Me- witch
ds1- Devil
ds2- some sort of ghoul, mask and black cloak
ds3- devil
ds4 skeleton
ds5- devil
Didn't realise we had so many devils till I put the costumes altogether!
I bought some proper expensive face paints too. Gonna make a real effort.
Bought a large furry spider from Willows Farm last week. It was £5 but worth it grin
I even went to get my nails done on Friday (theyre arcrylic) and they are black with spiders and webbs on them. The guy did a realy good job on them.
On actual halloween I told my big boys they can go trick or treating if they behave themselves and take ds3 with them.
Afternoon all,

totally- Yeah, we love it here, have found loads to do already! Kai seems really happy here aswell,
Happy birthday to your LO for last sun, hope she had a nice day.

gingeme- What are the boys dressing up as?
Bet it'll be lovely, have fun!
Hope everyone feels better soon, x

Samsmam, ww & taffy- how are you all?

x
Hi ladies. How is everyone?
Can't wait for next Saturday for Edwards party smile Have been collecting halloween stuff through the week. I think were all going to look pretty spooky. My big boys are coming for half term so they will be able to join in too.
All is well here apart from a bloody viral thing ds3 bought home. Back to school for him tommorrow.

hi all,
been so busy with moving, have been reading posts but no time to write anything!
Will post properly tomorrow but just wanted to say taffy ive added u on fb in case u wonder who it is!!x
Lol taffy. They are wonderful aren't they?
My email almostginge@yahoo.co.uk
See you on facebook. smile
ooh, I've just put myself on facebook. I have 1 friend!!I've not looked for anyone off here on it yet. I don't know anyones email...

mines mustangsally101@talktalk.net if you want to befriend me! Not much on there atm. A few dodgy pics of me where I was trying to find a decent profile pic but I am spotty on all of them!

Happy Birthday to everyone I have misseed!

Ginge - i asked owen if he was being a terrible two the other day and he quite matter of factly said 'yes' and nodded enthusiastically! BTW i found some old wellies of dd's in the wardrobe to fit owen - they are blue not pink grin

Weeble - your place sounds idyllic, all that fresh air and such a stimulating enviroment for your kids. DD loves animals, She wants to work at Dogstrust when she grows up (she did want to be a vet, but people kept telling her she would have to work hard at school).

Blackpool was fun. Weather was gorgeous and we did donkey rides, funfair, trams and illuminations. DD declared that it was 'beautiful' and she wins quote of the month for wanting to buy some crap with her pocket money!
you should be able to find people in the search part of facebook by just adding peoples email address that is how I found you!?! wink
Oh it sounds just lovely wobblingweeble. How lovely to be near all those animals.
I can't wait for Edwards halloween do next week.
Hmmm not sure how you would do that though samsam.
If you tell me your email I can add you like that. I can't post my email address because it contains my whole name! If you don't want to post your email address. We shall have to think of another way. Its easy just to search by name but I don't really want to put my whole name on here.

Hi All - thanks for the HBs for Amber - she had a great day up here on the farm. We blew up some balloons and laid orut a nice spread on the table and sang HB to her. Once she got a piece of cake she was so not interested in pressies though smile M + D got her a 'help Mummy kit' - broom, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket. Silly me got the wrong batteried for her dance mat so she hasn't tried it yet blush

She so loves the animals - she has been helping my Dad to feed the sheep, ducks, chickens and cows and going on the quad with him. She adores the 'doggies' too. Eating like a horse with all the fresh air and walking smile

Happy Belated Birthday Samantha! smile

I'm on facebook too now - how do you 'find' people?

Take care allxxx
Oh you too.
Happy Birthday for Samantha XXX
I'll pop to facebook now and add you to my friends xx
Morning all,
Gingeme- DP Dad is 60 on the 25th. We shall have to arrange a meet up though for definite.
So you are on facebook? Do you see me on there? Actually I just added you as a freind, I searched by email. You should see me on there. You can see all my photos now!

Samantha was the Big 2 yesterday and we are drowning in toys. I think I need to buy a mansion to keep it all in!
It was a great day too. Samantha was really excited.

Start my new job on 27th. Bit nervous but I'll be fine- I hope!

Rumpel- Happy Belated Birthday to Amber, are you drowning in toys too?

Babyducky- not seen you on facebook for a while, you ok? Hope the move was ok?

Hope everyone else is ok?

xx
Oh shit I missed it didn't I ? Oh bugger ! Sorry Rumple sad <<WHISPERS>> H appy belated birthday Amber XXX

Cheers.
Hope your all fine and dandy xxxx
happy birthday amber!
Hope you had a great day,

Catch up with everyone soon, xxx
shock Taffy. I bet that was very scary. Thanks goodness no one was hurt too badly.
Got some wellies off Ebay eventualy. They are lovely with Tigger on them smile
Edward is turning into a terrible two by the day hmm He certainly has his moments I can teel you. At the moment he drinks from ds5's cup when he thinks were not looking and his latest thing is to get every toy out of his toy box and just leave them angry. The worst and most surprising was yesterday when he bit ds5's fingershock. We were all shocked as he's usualy so lovely to him.
He has got his lovely side though. He can be quite helpful to but I think he gets that from ds4 who helps me tidy up and puts things in the bin or sink for me.
ds5 is doing brill. He just wants to be up all the time. Hates being still. Slept through for the first time ever last night. Everything crossed its a first of many.
ds3 is realy enjoying reception. He starts having lunch at school next week then the week after he's full time.
samam any news on you popping to us for the 25th? Were having a halloween/birthday party for Edward. Were all getting dressed up. Must be mad smile
Well I do hope you are all keeping well. xxx
Gawd shoes are an expense aren't they. Cunning of you to buy them all inthe sale weeble! Owens a size 6 - I too can't find wellies in that size ginge!
Re haircuts - owen had his 2nd one last week, the nice patient lady did it while he rolled around all over the sofa looking at a photo of her dd! At least he can see again now! Calvin's hair sounds so nice. I miss that lovely soft baby hair - aww.

Weekend in wales was ok. I saw my sis and my friend with her 3 month old ds (for the first time) so that was good. Disaster struck at bathtime in my sister's house though as dd starting pulling the bath screen. It was not made to move inwards and before we could stop her she pulled it too far and we are not sure what happened but the shower screen kind of explodedshockGlass everywhere. Two screaming kids. I plucked owen out and sis plucked dd out and we started showering bits of glass off them which they did not like - owen especially as he HATES having his hair washed. Luckily it was safety glass and they came out of it fairly unscathed, just a few little scratches on their backs and legs - phew - I did glug lots of wine after they had gone to bed - eek, poor owen has had a traumatic life so far.

Meanwhile, dh was policing the labour party conference in manchester - he says he's never seen so many men in suits falling out of hotels at 6am grin

Off to blackpool this weekend - dd never been before. Oh my social life is relentlesshmm

Hi All,

Hope you had a nice wkend in Wales TAFFY.
Amber's latest words are seagull, table, wee boy (form me calling Calvin that). She is obsessed with spiders and 'beasties' at the moment but keep swaking up ion the night with nightnares! Took her for her second hair cut yesterday - poor soul has really fine hair like her Daddy. Luckily she has thick dark eyelashes though (she is going to be mousy brown when older methinks!)She ius size 7G feet and I got her ladbird wellies out of woolies for going to see my parents on the farm - £8.00 and she loves them - wants them on all the time! I bought her 8 pairs of shoes in the Clark's July sales sizes 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8 to do her for a while - MUm bought her some too and we saved £111 pound in total! January sales next wink

Calvin's new hair is coming in - wee peachy head - it is lighter and more strawberry blonde. He is such a wee pet - very very sensitive child.

SAMSMAM - I got Amber the kitchen set out of Woolies for Xmas and bought her a dance mat for her bday. Although she had a nanny at dance class last Tuesday and wouldn't go in! Really unlike her - hope she is okay this week.

I went back to bellydancing on Thursday - was fantastic - so enjoyed it. Am starting tap classes tomorrow night (used to do it as a child and in my early twenties) and have lost almost half a stone (1lb off) but my AF caME BACK AFTRE A WEEK AND IS REALLY HEAVY AGAIN SO BLOATED AND NEEDING SUGARY THINGS!!

Sorry - hit the caps button with errant finger! SAMSMAM - know how you feel re weight - I am Mrs Blobby. The bit I hate the most is the fat back!! Bleurgh! Still I'l get there and so will you wink

Well must go and spend at least some time with DH.

Take care all
xxxx
Ofcourse he can. More the merrier.
My email is almostginge@yahoo.co.uk.
The girls will need to wear halloween fancy dress though smile
Don't think I have your email logged anywhere sad
I will come along if DP is off is that ok if he comes too? It's easier if there are two of us!!
Will check his rota....
Hi samsam good luck with the new job. Hope it works out a bit easier for you.

Yes Edward will be wearing Davids costume from last year and George will be wearing Edwards. Goos this recycling clothes lark isn't it? smile
Sam are you still interested in coming to Edwards party? Its on Saturday 25th. I think you have my email?
Anyway off to Mattalan now.
Have a good day all.
Sunny here too today. Lovely smile
Gingeme-I'm here.... I have been getting depressed about my weight and there never seems to be five minutes in a day. Working and two young children is difficult. We need the money though so there is no other choice. Start my new job next month so hopefully 2 or 3 12 hours shifts will suit me better.

Buying Samantha the kitchen from early learning it does say 3+ but she is quite tall and if there are any little parts I'll take them away. She is to shopping baskets and food and pretend play at the moment. Just paid £28 for ANOTHER pair of clarkes shoes for her she is a 7F.

Got two parties haloween night is DP's dads surprise 60th then we have a 30th anniversary party both halloween dress up. Sophie can wear one of Samantha's old costume. wink

WW- Glad Calvin is doing better, Sam's birthday is 7th so our two are quite close. Amber still oldest though! smile

Sunshine is lovely. Hope it holds. Have a great weekend.
Hi ladies.
Edwards feet are a size 6 and we have been hunting high and low for a pair of wellies for him. Must be a popular size as there are none to be found.
He is doing brilliant with George except trying to feed him stuff he realy shouldn't be having. A couple of choking incidents but all ok.
Ofcourse well be dressing up babyducky. I think I might get a little something to wear too smile
Oh Edwards latest words are 'bye bye, see you soon' grin trouble is he says it all the way home from wherever it was we visited hmm
You all sound well and your lo's sound healthy.
Anyone heard from samsam or Effiperrin at all? sad
hi taffy, thanks, Yeah its v stressfull though! Ive really gotta get on with the packing but its sooooo boring.

Aw owen sounds cute, Kai's got a little pink buggy that he loves pushing around! He loves playing with my nieces dolls when we go there aswell.

What size feet is he now?

Have a nice weekend in wales.
x
Hey good luck moving house babyducky, how exciting for you (polite word for stressful )Nice that your DP got pay rise and that you'll have a big garden!

Ginge, a bit of an upheaval but i bet you're glad your boys are back in town! Shame that the jobs didn't work out though.

Wobblingweeble - relax with the weight loss - how old is Calvin? Give yourself a break. I don't know what I weigh but my jeans are definitely too tight and I refuse to buy bigger ones so I am ditching choccy hob nobs!

Owen is getting v. chatty. He copies from a little girl at the CM who is a few months older, apparently he's like a parrot inthe background!
I too can't believe they are going to be 2!!
I wish owen's feet would stop growing he is costing a fortune in shoes atm.
He is at least saving me money by playing with dd's toys. That pink pushchair that she never touched is being put to good use! He is also quite keen on baby annabel and he was wearing a pearl necklace at CM today. Reassuringly he still loves tractors and trains!(mental note to stop putting him to bed in dd's old pink grobag).

busy weekend ahead of me, going to wales to where I used to live and visiting my sister and a few of my old friends. At least weather forecast is good
sorry x posts gingeme, combined birthday/halloween party sounds great! Gotta dress them up though! grin
its gone cloudy here now gingeme! Was lovely early this morning though.

Yeah I thought she was one of the oldest!
Probably is the oldest left now, now everyone else has left us grin

Gotta go & do some packing while kai's having his nap, speak to you all soon x
Oh never mind erm Rumple you have a good excuse smile
We usualy go to a friends Haloween party just after Edwards b'day but she is expedcting her 4th in January so she isn't having one this year so were thinking of combining birthday/halloween. What do you think? Well he was originaly due Halloween.
Goerge is cutting more teeth though he's being very good about it bar the constant dribbling and hands in his mouth.
David is just loving school. He starts having lunch at school in a couple of weeks. He's so excited about it all grin
Well I hope you are all well. xx

I am sooo bad at expressing myself just now -blush It is Ambers bday on the 4th but I bought her a dance mat on Saturday for her bday -sorry! She is one of the eldest though- think she may be the eldest left on the thread now - not sure hmm
Lucky you babyducky looks pretty cloudy here today sad
Yes I think Amber is one of our oldest two year olds here grin I second her best wishes for Saturday.
hello wobblingweeble, grin nice name!

Its Amber's birthday sat?! Is she the oldest LO on here then? Aw, hope she has a lovely day.

Glad Calvins better.

I'm gonna start sorting out a nursery/playgroup once we've moved house.

Still not saying many words, You can tell he's really trying though!

He really likes jumping at the moment, on everything! He has just learnt to hop aswell, its really funny.

Best go as we are off to the park, been up since 5.30, its a really nice day here so might as well make the most of it!

Evening all,

Exciting stuff BABYDUCKY - wedding preps. Amber is a minger - she would go around in a filthy nappy all day Calvin goes mad if his nappy is dirty - he hates it! She is obsessed with washing her hands though and loves to clean around the house with a cloth hmmLoads more words here too.

GINGEME - Calvin starts in January - same one as Amber - a Wednesday too - so I will get a whole day to myself grin

I have managed to lose 4lb in the past week - I have been rubbish yesterday and today though. Had too many glasses of red last night - DH and I sat up chatting and watching tv - as kids were quiet and in bed so hardly any sleep and too much wine = wanting sugary things. Oh dear! Still going to get back to belldancing this week.

Calvin is much better now he is on meds for his reflux but he still wants fed every 2-3 hours in thw night and from 3/4 - 6 he is really windy and noisy sad Went to baby group today - was first aid and resuc for babies/toddlies 2 of my neighbours were there so I am hoping we can become friends so at leastwe have some here hmm

Amber is loving her dancing - I got her a dance mat for her bday on sat. I had an afternoon out on my own shockand went to a complementary health show - was abit pants TBH then Asda for shopping - so got some bits and bobs for her bday and their Xmass.

Well must go am off to bed soon as sooo tired!

Hope you are all well - wonder who will pop in to say hi when it is October?

EFFIPERRINE/MAJORMOO/PRINCESSLAMA/ how are you all?
Hi all.
Signed Edward up for our local playgroup/nursery. Due to start in November. Its the same one ds3 went to. Hope he likes it smile
Hes saying lots and lots now. Seems to learn a new word every day now. He's been disturbed the past couple of nights and is dribbling as much as George now hmm Oh hurry up molars!!
How are you all and your little or not so little ones smile?
Yeah that'll be good totallyfloaty,
Do you have any recommendations of anything good to do around brighton & hove?

Gingeme, yeah i think its early aswell, we are not properly potty training, just getting him used to being on the potty & getting trousers up and down, hand washing etc, he seems to understand it all so we thought why not slowly start.

He's completely aware of when he's done a wee or poo, he's really funny, he's just started to realise when he's farted, he looks behind him & says 'yuck yuck' grin

Aw edward sounds so lovely, I cant imagine kai being good with a brother or sister. How cute.

Its so quiet on here lately!
x
Hi ladies. Scary isn;t it ? I was sorting some photos out the other day and found some of one of the meet ups. I think our lo's must have been about 7 months old. Where has the time gone?
Wow your brave babyducky potty training already. We were thinking of trying after Christmas but I think even thats a bit early.
Edwards nw word is nernie as in Underground Ernie smile. I thought he was saying Nanny at first but when ds had it on the pc he said it over and over. He is still so good with his little brother too. Realy helps with him and even tries to feed him.
Samsam how are you doing?
Rumple?
Effieperrin?
Anyone?
hi all, hope you all ok,amazing that the little ones are almost 2shock babyducky i live in Worthing, used to live in Shoreham,we can meet if you fancy as we will be pretty close.
hello everyone,

hope you're all ok, havent read through properly yet.

Have been really busy, we are moving house in few weeks, yeah! We really hate where we live now(hastings) We had been saying for ages we wanna move but we'd decided it'd be easier after the wedding, but dp has had a pay rise so we decided to just do it now so we are moving to brighton, we've found a really nice little place & its got a lovely big garden, kai wil love it!

cant wait to go, not looking forward to all the packing though.

he done his first wee on the potty tonight! woohoo!

he can pull his trousers up and down now aswell, we are slowly getting there!

I cant believe they are nearly 2! shock

Thats really nice of you to invite us all to edwards party gingeme! My sis is having her 21st party that day so wont be able to make it, your in london arent you? If we have any more meet ups I should be able to come once we live in brighton, its a lot easier to get to london from there.

We are having a party for kai at a soft play place, he loves it there, hee hee.

I've got all his presents & wrapped them all, & done about half of the xmas present shopping grin blush

Aw rumpel amber sounds soooo cute with her singing! Is she enjoying her dancing?

Samsmam I saw sophies christening pics on facebook, so sweet!

xxx
Hi Rumple glad to hear your lo is settleing down a bit. Poor Amber bein allergic to wipes. Mind you my nephew was terribly alergic to Johnsons stuff when he was a babyy.
Yes the jobs were terrible in Scotland according to my ex. They are living with his mil for a few weeks then they are renting a place in Bedford. They were here for the weekend. Edward just loves having them here smile
We will be having a party for Edward at home with family and friends. Can't believe hes gonna be 2 shock
Hope everyone else is well xx
Hi All,

GINGEME - when did your boys move back? Did your exs job not work out? Must be mad in your house with all those young boys!!

Calvin has settled down now - the DR gave him infant gaviscon and that has settled the puking - thank goodness! His skin is lcear now and he is much more contented and sleeping better - only up 3 -4 times a night now. Ambers skin is a mess - she is allergic to johnsons baby wipes. She started dance classes last Tuesday. I took her off to a local craft fair today and she was singing in the car - it was soo cute and funny - she was singing (very tunefully) the words she knows - la la door la la shoes la la juice etc etc grin She is such a sweetheart!

I am starting healthy eating tomorrow and have ordered an exercise bike - 3 stone to lose!!!

I have said for years that I would like liposuction on my arse and thighs so Dh has said I can have surgery this time next year if I so wish. A bit vain I know but I hate my arse and thighs so much!

Anyway I hope life is well with you all - just ordered some clothes for Ambers birthday - we are going up to my parents for her birthday so she will love it as she is animal daft - highlands cows, sheep, dogs, chickens, ducks ect up there.

xxx
Afternoon ladies. Its awfuly quiet here. Has everyone been washed away by the rain?
All are well here. The boys are coming along in leaps and bounds.
ds3 starts reception on Monday. Can't wait. He is so excited.
ds4 is chatting like a goodun now and says loads. He has a bad habot of sticking his hands down his nappy when hes had a pooh though angry and showingus whats in there.
ds5 is pulling himself up on everything now and crawling properly but still has a long way to go to catch up with his brothers.
Rumple hows life with your new baby going? My big boysare no longer living in Scotland. They are back in Bedford now and have settled into a new school.
Well if anyone is still interested Well be doing a perty for ds4's birthday on the Saturday 25th October. x Your all welcome
Hello there.

Good to hear from samsmam again. Recognise that hectic lifestyle!

Just got back from another drizzly week in wales. Funny that the kids always enjoy the holiday no matter what the weather. I am feeling very relaxed as well as no housework for a week but a mountain of ironing now though...

Owen's talking is really coming on now (even with his beloved dummy stuck in his mouth). He says 'hello there' a lot (must have been thinking of that when I started this message!) and he sounds like a parrot saying it! He is also good at shouting 'get down' and 'sit down' - wonder why?

Rumpel your life seems very busy and full at the moment. Glad Calvin is settling down now.

dd back in school on weds (hurrah), she has been quite mad over the hols, we think its due to lack of structure to her days and too much energy and crap weather so can't wear herself out!

Ginge - owen likes the beach, he likes walking into the sea either in trainers or deeper than his wellies! Does anyone know where I can get baby waders from? Took some great pics of him dragging big mounds of seaweed around too.

You lot have just reminded me that I was going to do a Y-plan video tonight but its too late now and I cant be arsed (lard arse emoticon)
Hi All,

Amber had her first exprience of a playpark last week - first time on a swing and she giggled and laughed - although a horrid wee boy pulled her hair so hard he pulled her head down! angry

She has terrible cold since yesetrday - was going to take her to the softplay - another new experience - today but her nose is streaming!

Calvin is thankfully a lot happier! Whoopee!! Although I was up every 1.5 - 2 hours last night (think he may be getting As cold) but he had another CS treament on Wed, was awful Wed and Thurs but much happier now. I got the script for Timodine bum cream - as he had the most horrific nappy rash - and his bum is nearly clear now - must have been sore poor wee soul has had a rotten start to life! He is smiling away now though - a right Mummy's boy - he hates to be left at all - I need to carry him in a sling to clam him down.

He weighed in at a whopping 11lb9ozs on Monday and 58cm long. I have the Drs on Wednesday so he will ne measured/weighed again then.

I am going to start going to a Mummy/baby group tomorrow (really need to make some friends here), Tues afternoon Amber startes her dance class (the hall stank of cheesy feet - like our old school gym halls) but they are a good dance class - she gets ballet/tap and modern for an hour, then when she is older she can stay for majorettes/cheerleading and disco!! She will adore it.

Then I am going to start going to toddly group 1 morning a week too.

My weight loss is pants!!! Still a huge colossal 14 stone 7lbs!! shock It is rubbish as I am not eating nearly as much as when pg but the weight has stuck!! I really really need to start exercising more but never have time for anyhting -so busy washing/houswork etc. Started doing sit-ups and weights but my abs were really sore (did too many). Still must make an effort.

Have been selling stuff on ebay - old uni books baby stuff etc to recoup some pennies (everything is so expensive now) which is quite time consuming.

Glad to hear the boys are well GINGEME - you been up to Scotland yet for a visit?

SAMSMAM - AF means I put on 7lbs sometimes - still waiting on mine but reckon I must be ovulating at mo' as am spotty. Still waiting on As molars coming in too. My friend had her baby on Thursday night - she was told a wee boy and had a wee girl!! still waiting to hear as she was told baby would have double talipes - got a text top say she was gorgeous and red headed too!!

BABYDUCKY - how are you and Kai - is he keeping out of trouble?

TAFFY - how is Owen getting on?

EFFIEPERRIN and MAJORMOO - how are you both?
You had your 20 wks scan MAjormoo?

How is ANNA doing too?

PL - where are you?

takje care allxxx
Hello, I'm here.

Ginge-sounds good to come to you as long as you don't mind that is. We shall have to arrange a date in between the birthdays.
Not been doing much. My friend had her baby at midnight last night I have been waiting since Friday lunchtime for news!

Weight loss is bad this week I somehow managed to put on 4lb but I am on AF they seem to be worse now I've had children is that normal? hmm

Wish Samantha's back teeth would appear she seems to be permantely dribbling and rosey cheeks.
Sopihe got her first two teeth last week.
Rumpel- has Calvin settled down now, is his weight gained slowed, nothing wrong with a healthy appetite except the constant feeding and sterilising........ sad

Have a good sunday all.
Gosh where is everyone?
We had a lovely weekend at my parents. George had his first experience of a beach on Saturday. Ate most of it grin
Edward spent most of the time saying 'meow cat' to my Mums cat smile
Home now to plenty of washing.
Take care all xxx
Hi samsam well done on the weight loss. Ive lost about 4lb in one weekend as I was realy poorly last weekend sad all better now though smile Told you sam your more than welcome to come here for lo's birthday. Anyone else too smile
Yes I think Edward is cutting his last teeth he's dribbling for England again and wants to put everything in his mouth. What with him and George its a pretty soggy household.
Ive been so lazy re weighing the boys. Might get round to it when ds3 goes back to school as the weight place is in the school.
The local Woolworth is closing down near me so we bought loads of clothes for the Autumn/winter. Can't believe were buying 2-3 for Edward and 9-12 months for George shock
We had corn on the cob with our dinner today and Edward had a good go at eating it grin he'll try anything. Such a good boy.
Hope EffiePerrin is keeping well and everyone else xxxx
Hi SAMSMAM - good to hear from you. VERY very well done on the weight loss - I have lost 18lbs but need to lose another 3 stone too. Must be hard when you are working - at least I am not working and have finished uni. I have an appointment for Calvin for a cranial sacral therapy treatment tomorrow to see if it will help him - fingers x. I'll let you know how I get on. I would really recommend you go see a homeopathic practitioner regarding Samantha's tonsils. Are you on anti-ds? I am seeing my Dr on the 3rd and going to ask her to up mine to 20mg as my anxiety is horrendous now - I remember it being really bad after having Amber too - porbably homrones as well as screaming baby.

Amber back teeth are coming in now too -she gets constiapted though.

Take care allxxx
Hi all, long time no post.....
Rumpel it seems that I have a LO like Calvin- she is just so demanding she has the most high pitch squeal ever- poor Samantha just has to amuse herself most of the time.
Sophie weighs 21lb already Rumpel, she doesn't ever want to stop eating either!! Just starting to wean her.

Had to get HV out yesterday as I thought I was losing my marbles. I have gone back to work 3 days a week too, its just all getting too much.
Samantha repeats most words you say now so we have to be really careful!
She has had diarrhoea for the last two days but is still wanting to eat, they say it could be her last very back teeth, can't work it out. I am going to take her to the doctors this afternoon as I think she has tonsilltus again :-(
I am trying hard on my diet lost 3 stone now but still have 2.5 stone to go.....

Gingeme- would be good for meet up, I have no great ideas though except for someones house, where the children can't escape!!

Can you tell I am struggling??????
Hi All,

GINGEME - still having a noightmare here sad Calvin has put on 2lb9ozs in 2 weeks - he just doesn't stop eating and crying!! he has been crying most of today my head is bursting arggg!!!!!

Had a bad weekend with Amber too - very high temp on Sun and crying all day, had to strip her and bathe her in tepid water and loads of cool flannel rubs all night, disprol then Dh had to go to pharmacy and get ibuprofen. he took Monday off work and was up all night with her. She is fine now though - must have been a 'virus'. She too is great with Calvin - caught her giving him his bottle the othe day 'cos he was crying (how unusual) and she pushes his pram and goes "Shhhh" tee hee - natural wee Mother grin Must go as my 'Darling Son' ahem is crying his head off again!!! When is he going to get better? Sob
Morning ladies What have I missed?
Weve just got over a dose of the sickys sad seemed to happen to everyone all in one weekend! Anyway all on the mend now.
How are things Rumple? Glad your lo's are over the pox now. I'm dreading Edward getting them. Reckon he'd be a real scratchy kind of boy. He's so cheeky now. Keeps putting dvd's into the wii and taking them out and putting them in and taking them out. You get the picture? He is soooooooooooooooo good with George its so lovely. He gives him toys if he's moaning and even tried to feed him the other day . mind you I think there was an alterior motive that, he wanted some of the food he was eating hmm He says loads now too. It seems all of a sudden he's chatting. Since my big boys have visited.
Congratulations EffiePerrin on finding out your having another blue one grin
Sorry don't have the brain power to do more personals.
Hi to everyone.

Take care all xxx

Rumpel-thanks for thinking of me on the antenatal thread. Have not been around much in Aug as we were on holiday and then away at my parents last week. The antenatal thread moves so fast when you miss it for a few days it is hard to keep up. I don't remember our Oct 06 one being so busy. I am 24 weeks today which always feels like a milestone as the baby is viable then isn't it?

Hope the lack of sleep improves soon. My DD started ballet at 3 and still LOVES it (she is now 5).

BabyDucky-oh I want to get married again. It is so exciting trying on your dress etc

Totally agree with the bath toys. I end up throwing ours out every so often as they get too grim to clean!
Sorry missed the last 2 posts - I agree bath toys are horrid - it is the mildew smell and mould that splurts out of them!!!
Amber has recovered now - although I think she may have a few scars. DH took her off to his parents yesterday all day ( I was frazzled) and she came back hysterical with tiredness!! And her Gran was teaching her to jump on the bed!!! shock not allowed in our house!

Calvins spots are clearing up but he is still a nightmare baby!! Up every 1.5-2 hours last night again!! Tried to keep him awake most of today and bought extra hungry milk so I am praying that I might get at least 3 hours in a row tonight.

Taking Amber to a dance school open day on Tuesday. She adores dancing (although I do try and teach her) so I want to book her into classes.

take care allxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi All apologies in adavnce for typos - mushybrain due to lack of sleep.

EFFIPERINE- congatsulations on expecting ababy boy! Posted on your ante-natal too. Where is majormoo - thought she was on your ante-natal too?

BABYDUCKY - how is Kai doing and wedding preps?

GINGEME - missing your big boys? Any hols for you?

TAFFY - Amber caught her foot in her crochet shawl!!
Thanks taffy, I've been and paid for half of it today, I'm so excited now! Took my mum & best friend with me & tried it on again & they both cried! Hee Hee.

Aw your poor dd! Yes bath toys are vile, I've just got kai a load of new ones & chucked all his old ones away, they get so yucky!

Owen sounds such a cutie,

All your LOs seem to say a lot more than kai! He still doesnt say a lot, says a few words like mum dad etc really clearly but most other words he just does the sound instead of the word, or just the begining! I'm sure he will catch up soon.

Cant believe they are gonna be 2 soon! Aw.

Still havent had a chance to sort my pics out!

Hope everyones well,

Rumpel- hope things are a bit easier for you.

kai is at my mums tonight so me & dp can have a nice relaxing evening, I better go & spend some time with him, lol!

xxx
Wow, babyducky that wedding dress is amazing. Gosh May is not too far away now. Kai will look soo cute in a suit too

Just like gingeme's boys - those pics are so sweet. Sounds like they were doing a peter kay on the dance floor!

Poor dd - put her in the bath with owen this evening and he did a big pooh in there! have just finished soaking the bath toys in milton - bath toys are vile aren't they. Why do they have to have a hole in them that lets water in but not out - bleurgh

Rumpel - life sounds tough atm. Really in a months time you know you will have forgotten how bad it was (i hope)

I am no longer googie, owen now calls me nunny. So cute when they are learning to talk. The other morning I went in to owen's room cos he was crying and he had his legs caught between the cot rails and he was sobbing saying 'stuck, stuck' aww
aw they look so cute! They look so alike!

I will try do mine tonight if i get a chance, depends if kai goes to bed!
Tis ok Ducky'
Updated my pics. smile
just joking gingeme, i know what u mean,

good luck tomorrow E P,

Rumpel- i'm 5ft 5, not very tall!

My bridesmaids are having gold dresses, & dp, & ushers etc having gold waistcoat thingys.

xxxx
BABYDUCKY - wow it is beautiful - are you tall? What colours are youhaving?

GINGEME - I have been to loads of weddings - 1 ended up with the brides dress covered in blood, me holding the baby and the bbridegrooms uncle in hospital - huge fight broke out amongst the rellie when the bride and groom left - but they came back as they had forgotten something!! Was awful. Also been to some pretty boring Jehovah Witness ones. Ours was the best along with a friend who got married in arran a year after us - it was all weekend too and great fun.

EFFI - glad all is well - good luck tomorrow and let us know how you get on - are you finding out what colour?

Calvin seems to be on the mend - hurrah! managed 3 hours between 2 feeds last night so feeling a bit more human today.
Hi Effie long time no post. Glad you are well. 20 weeks eh? Thats gone so quick.
Not a snob babyducky just that theres cheap and theres very cheap smile
Oh dea Runmpel, chickenpox and no sleep not a good combo. I remember those 2-hour sleep nights well - it's amazing what you can cope with after a while! Hope things settle down soon.

All well here, 20 week scan tomorrow
Ha gingeme u snob! grin

Bet the boys looked cute.

We are getting married 9th may, cant wait!

x
Oh that is just beautiful. When are you getting married again?
We went to a wedding on Friday. It was a very cheap do. Pretty chavy in fact. But the boys wore their suits and looked so smart. In fact I'll upload the pics in a min.
They had great fun skidding around the dance floor hmm in cream suits.....
hee hee gingeme, its so funny.

this is the dress

Have a good day all, xxx
Edward is fascinated when his big brother has a wee. He almost gapes in wonder. Not gonna start potty training him for a while yet though smile
Um its hard to explain, will try put a link to a pic, i am not v good with things like that though!

Kai is getting a bit obsessed with willies! grin

He is forever playing with his & whenever dp goes to the toilet he follows him in there & stands staring at it & trying to grab it!

Its quite funny, I used to do the same thing to my dad! blush

x
OOOOhhh BABYDUCKY - tell us what it is like. smile Amber is a wee horror at times too - into everything and pointing her finger and shouting as though she is chastising you and saying bad girl - she is also fixated with Daddys willy in the bath - must be the way it bobs in the water grin and Calvins boy bits - then she points to hers. Most of the time she is great though - I am just a bit short tempered just now as I am so tired - I am a strict Mummy though.

GINGEME - I know I know but I just cannot stand the look of myself just now - porridge lardy arse!! blush

xxxxx
hee hee gingeme, grin

Hows everyone doing?
Havent been able to come on here much as my laptop broken, it needs a new hard drive, waiting for it to be fixed, have to use dp's till then.

lovely pics rumpel, he's a cutie.

Kai's still being naughty at bedtime, have the odd good night with him, but mostly its a real struggle getting him to sleep, he is sitting on sofa with dp now, he went to bed at 730 as usual & was just crying & screaming, i finally gave in & let him come back downstairs about 10 mins ago, that will prob make it worse but dunno what else to do, he's all sweaty & snotty & has got himself in such a state! Argh!

He is getting sooooo cheeky aswell but in a way its getting easier now coz he understands more, if he's being naughty we tell him he wont be allowed to watch mickey mouse anymore & he soon stops, hee hee!

His eating is back to normal now, so thats good, its just bed times Im getting a bit stressed with!

I've tried on some more wedding dresses, i THINK I've found one grin

Hi All,

GINGEME - Dh ordered a mixed box of Wolfblass and Montes Alpha form Tesco - managing to work my way thorugh the whites at the mo' wink. Sorry your big boys are gone - weather is pants here too rain rain rain - although it suits me fine - I like walking in the rain - very soothing.

Still only 1 -2 hours sleep here - don't know what is up with Amber at the mo' she keeps waking up scvreaming at 2am!! if it is not one it is the other at the moment. Don't know how you do it GINGEME. Calvins spots are out so I am hoping he will settle down a bit now (4 hours in a row would be great at night instead of 2!). Feel about 150 just now and so fat!! Wenmt a power wlak with the pram today then I took Amber out when I got home - too slow walking with Amber and the pram. Also been doing some light weights for upper arm bingo wing syndrome blush Have lost 17lbs but still 3 stone to go shock You just want sweet thing shwne you are knackered though!!

Hope you are all well and enjoying lifexxxx
Ooh poor babby. Fingers X hes not too fretfull with it all. Oh I just hate the first few weeks of utter exhaustion. Keep eating well and drink plenty of wine water.
My big boys went home today. Its nice to have some peace again. My little ones will miss them though especialy Edward. Every time our buzzer rings he runs to it and says 'onnor?',ds2's name is Connor.
He is so good with George ho is now combat crawling everywhere hmm. He kisses him all the time and will offer him a toy if he is crying. It is so sweet smile
Well I hope everyone else is fine xxx
Hi All,

Well finally we have a reason for Calvin being horrendousfor the past 3 weeks - poor wee soul has chickenpox!! He must have caught it when he was straight out the womb. He developed spots on his cheeks yesterday - thought it was milk spots but today he has the blistery spots over the rest of him. Feeling really bad for him - I just thought he was nightmare baby!! blush Had to give up bf too as he wouldnt suck latch etc and I have only been getting 1-2 hours sleep a night for the past 3 weeks so I was too tired and my milk was drying up. Smothered him in calomine tonight after a lavender milk bath and put scratchy mitts on. Fingers x we get a decent sleep tonight.

EFFIPERRINE - how are you keeping?

MAJORMOO - you too - how are you?

SAMSMAM - where are you are you alright?

Take care allxxxx
taffy1 Edward has only just started saying Mummy in fact George says it more than him smile

congratulations rumpel. hope you are feeling ok

how scary PL-hope everything has settled down for you now
Rumpel - cute cute pics. [trying not to be broody] eek with the pox though, hope he escapes them.
Owen can't say mummy either. He has at least attempted it lately though and calls me googie, but he also calls monkeys googie so thats not too good. He can say chocolate and daddy perfectly though!!

PL - scary scary stuff. Glad everything turned out ok. Hope you have a good holiday to get over the stress.

Thought we were going to end up in A+E again the other day, as was visiting my mum and she has a horse and it trod on dd's foot and she was only wearing crocs. Well the noise she made got us v.worried and purple bruising and grazed ankle, but 10 minutes later she was leaping round pointing at cows. My mum gave her frozen peas to put on it and she went and gave them to Owen on the way home, which i wasn't impressed with (re peas up the nose incident, closely followed by a sweetcorn up the nose incident), luckily he refrained from stuffing them up his nose this time but dd scattered them all over the car - nice grin
Congratulations Rumpel! What a gorgeous little boy

Gladd your DS is on the mend PL, but was a scary time. DS was admitted for suspected meningitis a few months back and it was a terrifying experience (and he was older and turned out to just have a virus). Hope you are all recovering from the shock.

Congratulations Rumpel!!! Calvin - what a great name, he is gorgeous. What horrible timing with the chicken pox, I hope Amber is on the mend.

I haven't been on this thread for a while, I check in from time to time what everyone has been up to but never seem to have enough time to write a message.

dd1 is doing brilliantly, she loves going to nursery and has usually climbed into the pram and is pointing at the door 10 minutes before we are actually ready to leave. She is very chatty, lots of words, and very affectionate. AND addicted to Dora the explorer. I think this is my favourite age so far, definitely.

We are in the middle of planning some major renovations on our house, so all my time seems to be taken up with builders and kitchens and tiles.....
See I go off and have a life and Rumple has her baby angry Why didn't anyone come and tell me? grin
Rumple you clever clever girl you. He is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooo cute smile. Oh I feel all gooey now. Almost crying I am. Fabulous. A ginger too yeeeha !!
My big boys are here still. Go home next Saturday.
Its been busy busy busy in my household I can tell you.
Edward is brilliant.George is on the move. David is reading ,writing and chatting away. Can't wait for the summer hols to end so he can go to 'big school'grin
Dh and I are on a diet as he has been told he has high cholestarol so weve chucked all thr crap and have started to eat realy healthily. Doing well so far but struggling a bit as I'm on at the mo and we have no choccy in the house sad
Well I'll pop back tommorrow. Have updated my profile pics.
Oh Rumple I'm so happy for you smile XXXXX
Hi all!

CONGRATS RUMPEL!!!! grin

PL - must have been very scary with your little one in hospital - hope all is well now xx

Everyone - hello! Been up to my eyeballs lately and haven't posted for a fair while :/

congratulations Rumpel!! DD (4) had chicken pox and gave it to Ewan when he was 6 months old. He didnt get it too badly but she was terrible as she is a bit of a drama queen. We used calamine aqueous cream, piriton for the itching and gave her baths in water with bicarbonate of soda. We couldnt give Ewan piriton as it was over 1's only but he didnt really need it anyway. Hopefully your lo will be ok but you wont know for a couple of weeks anyway.

Ewan has formed an addiction for Dumbo at the moment and we have watched it about a million times in the last couple of weeks. He cried the first time he saw it (when Dumbo went to visit his mummy when she was locked up and had to leave without her), but he knows now that Dumbo gets his mummy back at the end so he hasnt been too traumatised by it.
Poor wee Amber is very poorly today - lots more spots - I gave her a cool bath with milk and 2 drops of lavneder then massaged her with calomine lotion. She has been palying up today though - tried to hit Calvin tonight - so not like her sad She is such a Daddys girl - still never says Mummy sad.

MW said that Calvin should have my immunity for 4 weeks so fingers crossed he might just escape it. He has been really sleepy today so dreading tonight!! Probably up all night feeding him.

Will try to add pics at weekend.

xxxxxx
babyducky he's four months. wouldn't want to go through chicken pox at 7 months either!
rumpel, same thing happened to a friend of mine and the baby didn't catch it so fingers crossed. poor poor you. ferdie fed all night for the first week and then calmed down. they do it if they are late or v large babies. hope amber gets over it quick
how scary pl, hope he's ok now.

How old is he now?

Enjoy your holiday!

Hi rumpel, how are you?

Cal is really cute aswell, any pics yet?

Blimey, chickenpox!! I thought it was bad when kai had it at 7 months, looking back though i'd def rather he had it then than now, think it'd be a lot harder at this age!

Yeah I would have thought just keep him cool etc,

Hows amber with it?

xxx
OMG PRINCESS - really really scary stuff!! I am so glad he is better now.

TAFFY - we went to see the LK for our honeymoon.

BABYDUCKY - DH is no too keen - he is calling him Cal.

Nightmare here - Calvin wants to feed all night and Amber has got chickenpox!!! Incubation is 11 - 20 days - so I am just hoping that he might have some immunity as I am bf as well as ff. Anyone got experience of chickenpox in a baby so young? I know I need to keep his temp down - strip him off and cool bath etc but anything else?

Anway must go check in with ther July Mummies.

xxxx
congratulations rumpel. well done. you must be feeling overwhelmed in all directions. lucky you to have a redhead. great news.
taffy-chipped tooth already, blimey. i chipped my brothers with a tennis racket when we were kids, unfortunately it wasn't a baby tooth.
samsmam and babyducky i hate the stand off at night. bedtime battles are horrid when you're that knackered.
gingeme we're getting the poo thing too. i feel immersed in poo at the moment with hope and ferdie.
well, one of the reasons i haven't been around is that ferdie was rushed to hospital with meningitis 4 weeks ago. it was hell. finally we got out after a week. he's ok now but it got very bad. obviously hope made my life pretty difficult the week after we came out too. punishment for being away for a week i suppose.
don't really dare say it, but things seems to be improving and we're going on a holiday on sunday.
Hurrah Rumpel.Sounds like you are a bit battered and bruised but elated all the same. Congratulations!!! He sounds gorgeous. I too hope to see pics soon

Have been too busy lately. Took DD to london to see lion king for her birthday. she was awestruck. She went in her simba outfit and even got her photo taken with some of the cast - i've put a pic on the profile.

Owen is a calamity! He has chipped a front tooth the other week and I ended up in a+e with him last friday evening cos he stuck peas up his nose!
woohoo!!!!!

Congratulations rumpel!

Really love the name, its lovely, cant wait to see pics!

sounds scary, hope your ok now, xxxx
Hi All,

Your vibes were perfect timing - smile

Calvin Thomas born Tuesday 15th at 10.05pm weighing 7lb6ozs. He was not back to back but came out with his hand at his face so ripped me on the way out shock. Managed without an epidural - G+A and diamorphine but then my placenta got retained - AGAIN - I make such good ones they do not come out and get stuck! Anyway they were going to take me to theatre but decided to try a different technique - ended up with massive bleed and all got a bit scary for a while but eventually the consultant managed to remove the placenta. Got out on Thursday but been busy and very tired as majorlly aneamic.

Calvin is gorgeous - long and huge hands and feet with bright red hair [preen] Amber has been great with him and my Mum has been a star - shes off on Tuesday and I am so going to miss her.

I will post some photos when I get a chance.

Hope you girls are all well and babies doing fine.

xxxxx
cant believe george is 6 months already! shock

Hope edward is feeling better now, & hope u have a great day at chessington!

Something must be happening for rumpel now??!

RUMPEL!!!!!!!!!?????? grin

We've had 4 good nights with kai now, He's been going to sleep fine, & not waking up till about 6.30 so hopefully things are getting back to normal, fingers crossed!

xxx
Yes my big boys are still here till the 29th July.
George is 6 months old now and already trying to crawl shock
Edward had a poorly dsy yesterday. He was sick in the early am and a few times through the day. Slept loads too. Seems much better today so I think it was just a 24 hour thing.
We are all going to Chessington on Saturday with my sil and her family. Can't wait. ds3 is tall enough to go on most of the rides so its going to be a fun day. Just hope the weather holds.
Yeah where is Rumpel grin sending <<<labour vibes>>> smile
hello gingeme grin

Thanks both for the advice. Just have to see how things go i guess.
He's being quite good today, & went to bed well last night.

Bet it was nice having all your boys together again gingeme, are they still there?

How old is george now?

Hope somethings happening now rumpel!

x
Hello hello? smile
Hi all. Been a complete madhouse here with my big boys here.
Edwards loving having them here. Being real cheeky hmmNo worries about food here. He's eatimg all his food as well as Georges and ours.
Oh Rumple what can I say? Keep your chin up love your time (and baby) will come. Try to rest as much as possible. I know I know your saying 'but thats not possible with a near two year old in the house'.
George is on the move now too. Hes combat crawling like a pro. If anythings in his sight he'll get to it somehow grin
Don't know what to say babyducky just give him stuff he likes for now. His taste will change as he gets older and finds new things more interesting. Just don't push the issue ot he'll be fussy about everything. As for bed time I guess the same could stand realy. Don't push the issue. Make sure you do the same bed time routine every night and shell soon get the message Mummy isn't going to change her mond and hopefuly shell soon settle again.
Well hope everyone else is ok.
Samsam how are the girls?
Take care all xxxxx
Hi All,

No News yet. had contractions all last Monday - called Dh to come home and Mum to come down (4.5 hour drive for her) but all stopped during the night. angry Am just so pissed off and miserable - definitley wasn't this huge and sore with Amber - I feel like I am going to rupture my tum is so tight and bubbas head is right down between my legs. So miserable...

BABYDUCKY - Amber usually spits out something unfamiliar and then will try it again to see if she does like it. She is usually quite well behaved and goes to her bed easily (we'll see if this changes with new arrival though hmm ).
Maybe he is just pushing his boundaries with you just now? Luckliy she isn't clingy either - in fact I have been bombed out for my Mum just now sad

Hope you are all well.
xxx
hi everyone,

Its gone very quiet on here again!

Rumpel- Any news???

Kai is still being naughty at bedtime, not sure what to do anymore! He just never seems tired!

He's also started getting fussy with his food, he refuses to try anything new, If he doesnt recognise it he just covers his mouth & wont even try a tiny bit, even things I know he would like!

He has completely gone off meat now aswell, he's never liked it much but barely eats eat at all now, unless he dips it in hp brown sauce?!? hmm Dp's fault!

He has even started to go off pasta which has always been his fave!

All he really wants to eat is cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, roast potatoes, any kind of fruit, cheese or yogurt!

He has also started to cry if he sees anyone he doesnt recognise & he's become really clingy, doesnt really like playing with other kids anymore, only his cousins.

Please tell me this is just a phase?!

Because he'll be two quite soon??!

I feel exhausted!

How is everyone else anyway?
Oh he does that too hmm
Hey GINGEME - it will only be a matter of time before he is sticking his hands down the front of his trousers for a rummage and cup - LOL smile
Hi Rumple. Oh I remember those last weeks when every twinge is a mattter of 'is this it?' hmm *big popping vibes to you*.
Yes my boys are coming here on Monday for three weeks grin. Realy looking forward to their help.
Sam any luck with Samanthas sleeping?
Alls well here at the moment. Had to get George some drops for thrush in his mouth today. Apart from that hes doing just fine.
Edward is fast becoming a terrible two already !! Very stubborn little fella. No means no as far as hes concerned and theres no changing his mind. Hes got into the nasty habit of sticking his hand down the back of his nappy when hes had a pooh and showing us.
Fortunately its only ever been at home so we quickly march him to the bathroom to wash his hands hmm. He is getting alot better with speaking now. Alot more recognisable words now. Ofcourse I can't think of any right now. Bloody typical.
Well I'm off for a soak now everyones in bed.
Glad your all well.
Hi All,

BABYDUCKY - we got Amber a toddly bed form Ikea and it's great - she goes to bed really easily. Often find her (I check on her before I go to bed) on the floor, cooried into my V pillow with her Little Miss books around her fast asleep. smile I had to buy a new bf pillow as she has snaffled the v one!

GINGEME - are your Scottish boys coming down for the hols at all? Started here on Monday.

SAMSMAM - have a fab holiday - hope the sleep thing improves soon.

Amber's new words are door, shower, no, thank you, din dins smile

Despite me pressing all my points daily still nothing to report - am totally fed up with the whole thing now! Arggg! Just want baby out.

Am a bit terrified about labour now as bubba is back to back - I had such a horrible time with Amber and I am scared it is going to be as painful and slow as last time hmm - nothing I can do I will just have to cream - EPIDURAL!!! and hope for the best smile

Please send me popping vibes ladies!

PRINCESS - where are you?
Hi all

Still no improvement on the going to bed front. sad We do keep Samantha up all day now 5pm onwards is a nightmare!

Sam does have a cotbed too but I think we may just buy her a normal size single bed rather than get her used to one then another- hmmm not sure. Its all decisions when you are a parent!

Rumpel- Where are you? smile

Off on holiday this morning, only haven at Great Yarmouth but Sam will love it, dancing and all that attention!

Samantha new words are 'minute' and 'more!'

Babyducky- Well done on Race For Life.

Gingeme- Must sort out getting to see you. smile
Well done you babyducky grin fantastic amount. We did a sponsored toddle round our local park today for Barnados. Was great fun but I'm a bit burnt and sore now.
Not sure what to recomend for beds because weve always had a cot bed which was the boys 'big' bed so to speak when we took the sides off. We did get a childs bed for ds3 from Ikea. Its the Mamut one which has matching wardobe and drawers and tables etc. Very sturdy and very nice.
Couldn't cut out Edwards naps he would be a nightmare all day. His new saying t the moment is 'want one?' he also says ' I'm a winner' this comes from his big brother who is an avid Roarey The Racing Car fan grin

hey all,

Anything happening rumpel?

I done another race for life today,

Done it a few weeks ago aswell, last time i completed it in 32 mins & today I managed to do it in 25! So Im very pleased with myself, have raised over £400 for cancer research! grin

My legs really ache now though!

Aw the bunk beds sound really cute gingeme, we are looking for a bed for kai.

What do u think is best, a normal size single bed or one of those little toddler beds?

His sleeping has improved a bit, we have cut out his daytime nap so he's worn out by bedtime!
Evening ladiessmile
Rumple havn't you had that baby yet? George was back to back but we didn't realise till he was born facing me so to speak. Was bloody painful but no more than usual.
Sam hope Sam settles soon. It might be a touch of jelousy especialy if you involve Sophie in the night time routine too.
We have bunk beds since Tuesday and the boys are loving them. David cheers every time he goes up the ladder by hiself and Edward looks so small in a 'proper' bed.
George still in with us. He only wakes once a night now though so as soon as he mises that feed hell be in with his big brothers smile
We have been decorating our hallway this week. Got the smelly smell of gloss hanging around. Hat it. Stinks.
Well I hope everyone is well.
Take are all smile
xx
Have tried rumpel, he throws them all out grrrr!

We are gonna have to get him a bed soon as poss anyway as he tries to climb out of the cot now.

Sending u labour vibes!
Now go get back on your gym ball!
x
Happy Birthday Rumpel smile
Sophie was back to back and it is a painful labour but you know that from Amber. Lets hope you get that baby turning before the big day..... sending great labour vibes your way.

We put Sam in the playroom last night only thing is she fell asleep at 7pm on the sofa because I hadn't let her sleep all day so we are unsure whether we have cracked it! She did sleep till 7am this morning though.
Babyducky- the whole dummy thing is a problem for me too, I do put lots in her cot though so she can usually locate one. grin

Sophie slept in her own room last night too- very odd without her in our bedroom. sad
Hi all,

Ta for the birthday messages. Just back form MW and baby is back to back - ARGGG!!!!!! That's what happened with Amber and why my labour was so pianful and long and awful - [scared emoticon] Need to start sitting on my gym ball more and crawling along on hands and knees - which I do anyway with DD! Still head is down and not moveable (according to MW) so fingers x it's soon - labour vibes this way please girlies!

BABYDUCKY - maybe you need to put 2 or 3 dummies in with him or think about making his cot into a bed now?

SAMSMAM - try making sure Samantha's head not facing the door - feng shui! Maybe she is feeling insecure 'cos of Sophie just now and just acting up for attention?

Mum and Dad left yesterday sad but Mum will be back when bubba appears smile

Take care allxxx
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUMPEL! XXX

Kai is playing up at bedtime aswell samsmam,

He has a dummy at night, & recently he just keeps throwing it out the cot so we go up there to give it back. Then when we go in there he's standing up laughing!

The last 2 nights we have put him to bed without his dummy, & its been gone 10pm both nights before he's fallen asleep!

How did she sleep in the playroom samsmam?

x
Happy Birthday RUMPEL!!

ooo, I'll have to measure Anna's height later and see how tall she is too.

Samsmam, hope that bedtime gets easier for you.

Alls well here. I can't believe that our LOs are almost 2 years old!!!!!!!
Samantha is 83cm!
She is so much hard work at the minute. We are having real trouble putting her to bed. As soon as it is bedtime and we ask her to say goodnight she starts screaming and working herself up so she is sweaty and just inconsolable. Today we have moved her cot in to the playroom to see if it is the bedroom she is scared of? I have also moved Sophie in to the nursery, I wanted to keep her with me until 6 months but she is only the other side of the wall. It may be that Sam has realised that Sophie is staying in our room...... very frustrating!

Hope everyone else is ok x
Just a quick hello from me aswell, cant come on here much, I've broken my laptop so using dp's(when he lets me,lol!)

Will have a proper catch up soon.

I was trying to measure kai yesterday rumpel, but he wouldnt keep still, think he was 83cm!

hope everyone is well,

xxx
Hi All - just popped in to say hello.

My parents have been here since Friday and so good to see them - they gave me a rest looking after Amber and loved her to death! She is failry chatting away now - lots of new words. New teeth coming through so constipated again. She was out in her new pram a P+T in apple and loved it. She is 89cm tall - what about everyone else?

Got the MW tomorrow (my birthday tomorrow too - 36) am 36 wks pg now and ready to go anytime smile Bump has dropped realy low so am hoping it will be sooner rather than later.

Must go waken DD - take care all.
xxx
Thanks gingeme

wow this thread has gone quiet!
Lol no not at all.
congratulations smile
yeah tis lol grin

ooo, its my 2nd Wedding Anniversary today

totally forgot until last night, so I'm doing a sneaky run to the shops today to get the card and a few gifts for DH before he gets home from work lol. Bad wife or what? blush
cute aint it? grin
Hi gingeme - Anna is fond of Peppa too lol. She laughs hysterically and says "peppa pig!" with a snort after it lol.
Afternoon ladies.
Lo is definately watching too much tele. Bought him a toy today. Don't know if anyone here is familiur with Nickjnr but there is a charecter on a programme called Diago. As soon as Edward saw it he shouted 'go diago go'hmm he also snorts when he saw Peppa Pig smile
He also says 'bye dad dad' when dh goes to work.
Alls well here. Off to Nanny and Grandads weekend for a little break.
Hope everyone else is well.
Thinking of doing a do in October for Edwards birthday. You are all welcome to come. I live in North London. Will give details nearer the time.
xx
hi all,

Hi em grin

Aw how cute wuzz, she sounds very clever!
Glad you enjoyed your holiday.

How scary for you rumpel, hope she's ok.

x
RUMPEL - I hope that your dd is ok now - that must have been such a scare for you all!

Anna seems to be picking new words up every day and is doing lots of two-worders (birdy gone, big car, two birdies, yogurt please etc) its really cute!

I'm having the feeling that potty training is creeping up faster than I thought...getting lots of what I think are signs of her readiness. GULP...Am a bit nervous about it in honesty...
Hi Emily - so good to hear from you - often wondered how you are. Have you got yourself a new man yet? Still at home with your parents or your own place now? GINGEME and SAMSMAM ans PRINCESSLAMA - have all had more DCs and my 2nd is due int he next few weeks. MAJORMOO and EFFIPERRIN are pg again too - although still quite earlyish.

Hey all, Lola and I are great, hope you're all having a good beginning to the summer. (when it finally comes)

So much attitude but she's such fun :-)
Hi All,

Glad you had a good hol.

We're just back form A&E - Amber fell down about 4 steps and whacked her head a cracker off the stairgate - she has huge lump the size of an egg on her forehead. shock just took her straight to hospital but thankfully after 2 xrays she has been give the all clear - phew! Just reminded me yet again how much I hate hospitals - still better to have than have not eh? So hot though.

Have now reached the stage where I am shuffling along needing to pee constantly and feeling as though bubba is about to fall out. I am hoping bubba decides to make an appearance early. 3 of the mummies on my July club have popped already - awaiting on the twins coming next.

Amber has now started that defiant stage - she gives us a side long look and looks away and is generally a wee madam at times grin Most of the time she is fab though. She adores books and we sometimes find her on the floor in her room - beside her bed - with her Little Miss books tucked into her arms fast asleep. Awwww!

She hasn't learned No yet smile although she shakes her head hmm

Take care allxxx
Afternoon ladies.

*Happy Fathers Day*

I think Edward is going through his terrible twos early. Hes been a right little sod the past few days angry. His new word is 'no' which he uses for yes too but you definately know when he means it as no!
Anyway off to my sil's for a BBQ this afternoon.
Hope you are all well.

CONGRATS Samsmam!! and a late happy birthday lol

Hiya all else

had a brilliant holiday and Anna was a gem!! Absolutely brilliant! Hotel, food (bye bye diet for the week), staff, all amazing. It just went too quickly

Hope all are well! As for potty training, I'm not starting just yet, but she does tell me when she done a poo and is starting to understand when shes doing a wee too, so won't be too far away, but not just yet.
Morning ladies.
How was your birthday samsam? Whats your ring like? Is it bling?
How you doing Rumple? Any twinges yet? I bet your just sick of people asking you that aren't you wink
Hope everyone else ok.
CONGRATS samsmam!!! Happy Birthday + Good luck with the job interview too. UR busy!

Yuckyuck poo incidents - eek. Keep those nappies on for 3 years. When potty training dd she fed her poo to our dog which was very revolting. The dog thought it was her birthday. One to embarrass her with on her 18th - although she quite happily regaled our hairdresser with the tale a couple of weeks ago - I was so blush

PL = LOL @ oh shit and oh god!! Shows what perfect mimics they are hey.

Had to put Owen's highchair away cos he was being dangerous and climbing up it. He now has one of those booster seats like you babyducky. We have to keep the tray on it when not in use though or he climbs on that too! MONKEY CHILD

Re camping - I thought I was being brave too, but there was nowhere Owen could disappear to, and he follows dd like a shadow so it was n't too bad, just had to barricade bbq/stove with chairs at meal times. Would defo do it again. The tent was big enough to put a travel cot in so that was easy.
hi all. have been flattened with knackeredness since ferdie was born so have only been managing to keep up on the postnatal thread for feb 08 off and on. things starting to ease up now and become enjoyable most of the time-phew!
rumpel-so exciting you're so nearly there now. yes, i had much stronger bh contractions 2nd time round.
gingeme i've been following your lead on not potty training after a complete failure a while back. are you starting now? we've had one of those poo incidents too. Hope has no idea when she's done a poo i think, if i ask she says no, because she doesn't want to be taken off to have her nappy changed.
congratulations majormoo and effie. i definitly think it's harder to be at home than at work when pg.
babyducky hope is always trying to sit at a normal chair now too. maybe should take the bar off her highchair?
hi wuzzle, anna sounds like she's cracking along at the moment.
samsmam how are you doing? it is amazing what happens to your brain when both lo's start crying isn't it? thank goodness they're doing it less now so not losing my rag so often. Hope has started saying 'oh shit' and 'oh god' shock. bad bad mummy. lucky she hasn't picked up on the other ones blush
smile Happy Birthday SAMSMAM! Congratulations - did he get down on one knee? What kind of ring did you get? How exciting for you. I thik it is a blue one I am cooking but it remains to be seen - we'll soon find out. He/she keeps punching me and it causes me a pain in the bum, quite literally! It seems to be whacking a nerve in my lower colon/rectum area - very uncomfy hmm

Was chatting to one of my neighbours yesterday - she is due on Thurs with her first. I don't really know anyone here yet so I am hoping we might become friends as we don't have nay here and her and her DH seem nice.

Anway Amber is being a monster - again so must go shout attend to her smile
Oh samsam thats just brilliant smile. Congratulations to you and dp. Are we all invited? wink
Many Happy Returns for your birthday too.
Is it Graves End you live? If so its about hour and half drive to here. My parents live in Kent and it takes about 2-2 and half hours to them. Bring dp soon to be dh along too. More the merrier.
Anyone else fancy it?
I live North London.
CONGRATULATIONS samsmam!

& HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Hi all
I am ok- DP proposed to me on Friday night and of course I said yes! wink we were out for my birthday meal. Want to get married as soon as possible..... watch this space!

I got an interview next monday for a healthcare assistant on the maternity wards at my local hospital. I think I'll either love it or hate it! Hope it doesn't make me broody again- I am hoping it will put me off!
No more children unti I am a married lady!

Gingeme- meeting at a house would be much better for me controlling these two on my own is difficult. Sam just won't sit still even at a table now! How easy is it to drive to you?

Rumpel- I'm very excited to find out what you are having. Take care and try and rest in these last few weeks. hmm hmm I know, I know.....

Its my birthday today 31!! Wonder what the day will hold for me! smile

A lovely sunny day- hope everyone else is ok xx
Love those shoes Rumple. You go girl smile Ooh sounds like bubs is nearly cooked. Its so exciting.
Think well be putting the poty training on hold for a while. Edward has a very red raw bum at the moment and every nappy seems to be a smelly one sad so this morning I decided to let him go nappyless for a while before we got ready to go out. We were all busy doing different stuff when I heard dh say 'er Edwards got s**t on his feet!'. I came in the front room to see dh swiflty taking Edward into the bathroom for a shower.I had noticed smelly brown foot prints leadin into our room. I thought 'oh no the cots in there'. Followed them into our room to find pooh on the floor on my side of the bed with hand prints in that had been swirled around quite a bit. Tankfully none anywhere else ie the cot or our bed. So while dh showered him I wiped and mopped our room. Phew! What a start to the day hmm
Apart from that we are all well here.
George is getting big now. Can't believe hes 5 months old on the 10thshock wheres the time gone. Seems like only yesterday I was squeezing him out in the bathroom grin
Ah well hope you are all well.
Take care all.
Any thoughts on that meet up?
samsam would be lovely to meet Sophie. Maybe we could have it at my house?
Hi All,

Baby is due 20th July but I reckon I will go earlier - I am sooo huge and uncomfy now and I felt bubba drop down today - after hours or rumbling around and rotating - head is far down now and bum is mid belly - I have a huge blue vein on the right hand side of my tum (although I am translucently pale). I am fingers x that he/she will make an appearnce next time my parents are here - 22nd June. It is my birthday on the 24th - 36 shock so Dh took me out to buy ne some shoes for post baby:

www.schuhstore.co.uk/zoom.asp?i_code=1100235020&name=MAXA

and

www.schuhstore.co.uk/zoom2.asp?i_code=http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/images/product/1100303020ex_lg.jpg

I haven't worn heels for sooo long now but I love these smile I am going to get the pink ones at some point too.

Amber is chattering away to herself now but only says Mummy when upset! sad Her new word is door smile I am trying to teach her the L sound at the mo'. la, la, la etc.

MAJORMOO - glad your scan wnet well. Yes it is knackering looking after a littly and being pg - you just need to lower your standards wink

I have started feeling puky again in the morning now sad

SAMSMAM - how are you?

BABYDUCKY - Paris is nice but I can think of nicer cities - depends what you like.

EFFIE - how are you?

GINGEME - attempting (badly0 potty training. Bought her teeny weeny pants and let her wear them in the garden or go bare bum, with potty on stand by. So far we have had 2 poos in the potty, 1 on the kitchen floor shock, and a pee tonight on the highchair - onto the kitchen floor hmm so it's going really well wink

I was potty trained when I was 1 shock Most of us 70's babies were 18 months when potty trained - now it is 3 years!! Bit of a difference.

Well must go relax - take care allxxx

hello again
Taffy camping is brave with a toddler. We went when DS was crawling but would be scared now he would run off. Glad you enjoyed it

Paris would be romantic BabyDucky (well, unless the whole family are going on the honeymoon-although am sure you could still squeeze some romance in!)
Rumpel when is your baby due?
gingeme-we aren't anywhere near potty training.
Wuzzle have a lovely holiday. Hope the weather is good.

I had my nuchal last week and all fine so that is a relief. When I had DD and DS I was working (although part time with DS). Have actually found being at home now full time and in the early weeks of pregnancy much more difficult than being in the office. Need to get tougher on DS about picking him up as my back is already aching. How did you lot cope with younger babies and pregnancies!
Hey, ginge I am not attempting potty yet, but sounds like edward might take to it if he's telling you when he's pooed. I hope Owen is quick to learn. He doesn't have poohs, he has explosions (always has)!

Well I was brave last weekend and went camping in the peak district. I had never done that before! It was great fun and the kids had a ball, i just had to not look in any mirrors at my hair all weekend!

Owen is starting to say more words (not as many as anna though - i think girls are more talkative) - still won't say mummy though .

DD is 5 in july and we've booked to go and see lion king at the lyceum. DD is crazy about simba, she will go nuts when we tell her about it. I also bought her a simba outfit on ebay the other day. I also can't wait to see the show - really excitedgrin
Hey wuzzle hey? hey? wuzzle? Don't go sad ha ha not realy. Have a great time.
Hows everyone else doing?
Just having a think about our 18/19 month olds who will soon be 24 months old. Anyone fancy arranging a meet up nearer the time for their birthdays? I was looking at a 'thread I was watching' yesterday and it was one of our old pre natal threadsshock we must have all been newly pregnant because alot of us were feeling sick and going for first time scans. Seems like an age away doesn't it?
wow babyducky what a little chatterbox you have there! Thats just brilliant smile
Edward is saying a bit more now his new word is 'no' hmm
Is anyone thinking or in the throws of potty training yet?
Im thinking of trying next month as Edward now tells us when hes had a pooh so I usualy use that as a sign as its ready.
All else is well here. George is enjoying his solids. Hes pretty vocal now too. Its lovely when he squeals when he sees his older brothers having a game of booh! Brilliant.
Well have athink about the meet up. Got a while yet I know but it might be worth it.
Take care everyone. xxxx
Hiya Rumple lol yes, some might call me a chatter box grin she likes being read to A LOT too.

Wow, I take it that your pregnant then rumple?? COngrats!!!!!

Thanks for the well wishes for holiday...I'll see you all again on the 12th June Byee for a week ladies and wish my nerves away lol
well if she's well behaved i'm sure it'll be fine.

I bet she wont be scared either!

Have a lovely time

hey rumpel,

Kai's skin is perfectly clear at the mo, has been for a few weeks.

Had a consultation with homeopath, but at the mo we are not using anything at all on it. Too scared too in case it flares up again! If it does we def gonna take him back to her, not gonna bother taking him to dr again.

Fingers crossed it stays like this!

Wedding stuff ok, its going too quick now though, Ive still got waaaaay to much weight to lose by then!

We have started paying everything off now, paid all the deposits ages ago. Everything is sooo expensive.

We are sorting out the honeymoon next month, cant decide where to go yet!
We are thinking of paris. (well thats dp's choice)
I'd rather go somewhere hot though, we shall see.

How long have you got left now?

Have a nice time with your parents,

Where is everyone else?

Im off for a run now, am doing race for life on 15th, need to start getting ready for it.

xxx
Hi All,

Hi again WUZZ smile am v impressed with Anna's vocabulary shock - you must be a chatterbox! Have a fab holiday.

Babyducky - how is Kai's skin these days? How are your wedding preps going?

GINGEME - hope Edward is better and life is good.

SAMSMAM and PL - how are your newbies doing?

TAFFY - what you been up to?

Majormoo AND EFFIE - how are the pg going?

I am busy as per - my folks are coming tomorrow for 1 night am so looking forward to seeing them. Mum hasn't seen Amber since Jan so she will see a huge difference - she is running about mad now and into everything argggg! They are coming back for a few days on the 21st June so I have decided that would be a good time to pop smile Am so fed up now - huge, sore, waddling, tired, anaemic and generally pissed off. Very hard to look after A properly when you are so heavy - don't know how you managed with so many GINGEME!

Take care allxxx
hehe, congrats!!

in fairness to her, she behaves brilliantly, so I'm not too worried about that part of things...we have an early morning flight (departing at 7:15, but we have to leave the house before 4am lol eeek!) so there is a good chance she'll be too sleepy to want to wander lol I'm trying to stay optimistic hmm and the plus is that its only a 2 1/2 hour flight.

I'm more nervous about it scaring her than anything else...sorry I'm rambeling
its 9th may 09, yeah cant wait!

sorry no advice really, we havent been brave enough to take kai abroad yet!

He doesnt sit still for more than about half hour so cant imagine taking him on a plane!

Hopefully anna is good at sitting still!

I guess just take lots for her to do!
Books & little toys & maybe a portable dvd player???

Once you actually there i'm sure it'll be fine, i reckon the journey would be the worst bit.

x
sorry, not on face book...I have pics but I cant work this pic adding thing for the life of me lol.

Yeah, she can say loads lol, I really would be here for about an hour on the one post if I tried to list every single word she can say.

Ahh, the animal noises sound so sweet!
It tickles me pink when anna does those too!

OOOH, whens the date been set for?? I bet your really excited!!

FOrgot to post, if anyone has ANY tips for taking a little one abroad for the first time - I'd be grateful lol
hey,

Yep still a SAHM,loving it too, still busy with wedding plans aswell, lol.

God she can say a lot!

Kai can say a few things not that much, just mum dad nan grandad etc. Kai, bum, Emma(my sis) pepper, his new one is umber(cucumber!) book, bath, Um cant think of any more!

He Can do quite a few animal noises & actions, his fave is pig! & he thinks all birds are seaguls(we have a lot of them round here) Whenever he sees a bird he does a really funny sound like a seagul! grin

Do u have any pics of her? (nosey!)

Are u on facebook? (nosey again!)
Hiya babyducky!

To be honest, I don't really know what I've been up to lol. Still a SAHM and loving it You?

As for the words she can say...there are LOADS...duck, rabbit, cat, pig, horse, moo, daddy, mummy, baba, anna, pat, hat, ed, turkish (the cats names lol), drink, food, ta, bye, gone, birdy, bubble, please, beets (beetroot lol), shoes, bath, hot, cold, bum, poo (lol), wee wee, car, bin, milk, hat, tree, foot, garden, yes, no etc etc I'm probably boring everyone now, if I tried to list every word i'd be here for aaaages, so I'll stop here lol she's really clear too!

how about kai?

for certain words she does actions too, like if you say flower, she sniffs etc. so cute!
hey wuzz,

What have you been up to?

Kai will be 19 months tomorrow! Gone so quick!

Oooh lucky you, a holiday! I need one!
Bet anna will enjoy it!

What words can she say now?

x
Hello Ladies!! Its been faaaaar too long!

babyducky, I saw your post on the other thread, so here I am lol.

How is everyone and whats new?????

Anna is 19 months, very funny, talking a LOT, and on Thursday we are going to spain for a week (lovely little place called Nerja). Her first holiday!
hey everyone,

sorry congratulations majormoo, forgot to say the other day!

We got a wii at the weekend, its great!
I normally hate things like that but i love it!
Waiting for the wii fit to be delivered.

Crappy weather here today, just having a relaxing day in, Kai is busy drawing pics for his nans, grandads etc.

hope edward is better now gingeme.

Ive finally booked my driving lessons again, start on thur, im really nervous!

Nothing much happening here really, Kai is getting very very cheeky!

He wont go in his highchair anymore, have had to put a booster kind of seat thing up at the table, he likes it much better! Think he feels grown up! grin

Hope everyone is ok, x
Hey what have I missed ?
Hi everyone smile
Sorry to hear about the wakeings. Not nice. None here just snot and eye gunk and dribble sad Edward looks like someone has thrown a bucket of slime over his face in the morning.
He has learnt a new word 'Pooh' but he uses it for the right thing and tells us when he has done one. Bit early to be getting the potty out just yet though. He is now trying to do Walking Round The Garden with George and finds it wonderful when George gives him a big smile smile
How are you newly pregnant ladies finding it second time around? Hows the sickness?
Samsam you and your broodiness. I know mine has completely gone now. I see pregnant women I just think 'couldn't be doing that again'. Well I couldn't anyway as Dh has got the official letter that he is now a jaffa grin
Ooh getting exciting now Rumple. A water birth? How wonderful. I loved mine with ds3 soooo relaxing. Shame I didn't quite make one with George but never mind.
Well thats all from me folks smile
Take care all xxxx
Hi MAJORMOO - conratulations - it is really nice the 2 of you being on the same ante-natla thread again smile
hey everyone,

hello again majormoo and nicand2

well done rumpel!

yes taffy i did notice the cake, looked brilliant!

Kai has started waking up in the night aswell, must be an age thing!

He normally wakes up around 2, sometimes i sit in there for a while trying to settle him back to sleep, but it takes about an hour for him to go back to sleep so i mostly just put him in bed with us & he goes straight back to sleep! Must stop doing that though! Im too lazy! blush

samsmam- how are you all?
sorry to hear about the food poisoning.
Men eh?
Your dp sounds just like mine!

be back later to catch up properly,
x

hello thought I would say a quick hello as thought of you as I am on the same antenatal thread as EffinePerrine.

Hope you are all well, especially those pregnant or with new babies

DS is a real early riser too which drives me mad. Tends to wake in the night if he kicks his duvet off but settles once I tuck him in. I am sure DD was sleeping til at least 7am by the this age so not impressed with the early mornings.
Hi all,
Samantha has started being unsettled at night, last night she woke at midnight and then 3.30am. Ended up taking her downstairs for some calpol abnd water. Ends up sleeping in our bed- is what I definitely don't want!! And the night befire she woke at 4.30am. Perhaps it is their age.

Finding it tough at the moment- DP and I have had food poisoning, not sure how you are supposed to be ill when you are a parent tried to explain to DP that you just have to get on with it as the children need us. Men- I'm sure he would have just gone to bed and left me to it! hmm

Rumpel- not long now- how exciting, I'll be getting all broody again! wink
I have just hijacked the last thread you were on to see how you are EFFIEPERRINE! smile
Not waking in the night, but DS is waking at 5am (or earlier) EVERY morning at the moment. He's a bit chompy too so might be teeth. Or general bloody-mindedness. I need more sleep!
Is anyone else's DC wakening up through the night all the time? Amber is a total nightmare just now - she keeps wakening up through the night and taking ages to settle agin - I am sooooo TIRED. Don't know what to do with her. She is fine at the moment so it isn't teeth or anything. I don't know if maybe it is a habit now? I usually bring her into bed for a small cuddle and put her back into her own bed but she wakens up again and cries etc.

I look like the living dead just now! shock

Hope you are all well.
Getting all prepared for LO arrival - washing clothes, ordered birth pool etc.
One of the July Mummies had her bubba on Sunday [shock. He is well though and a very healthy 5lb8ozs!

Take care allxxx
Must go as Amber stinks!!
Oh definately Rumpel. It reminds me that I was doing the same thing with ds1 10 years ago too shock.
GINGEME - have a fun filled weekend with all your boys - hope Edward is better now. Does it not make you fill up watching them in assembly and at plays etc? Amber adores musci and dancing and I just keep thinking when I watch Britain's got talent - that 1 day she will be like 1 of the wee dancers you see! smile
Oh Rumpe; your not having a very good time of it are you? Well done on your results though. I take my hat off to you having a lo and being pregnant and doing exams. It takes all my brain power just to remember where I left my keys the last time I used themhmm
Samsam Ive said it before and Ill say it again your girls are just lovely.
All is well here. Ds3 did his first ever assembly this morning [proud Mummy emoticon] the class sung Wheels on the bus, Twinkle twinkle and Wind the bobbin up. It was soooo sweet smile
Got a busy weekend coming up as DH has his long weekend off work. Going to a theme park for little kids on Saturday near Milton Keynes. Swimming Sunday and to a farm on Monday. Phew gonna be exhausting but goood fun.
Hope your all well.
EffiePerrin hows things?
Take care ladies xx
Hi girls - just to share my good news with you - I have now finished Uni - smile grin smile Got a B for my last essay and I am now the proud owner of a Bachelor of Art in Tertiary Education in Further Education. After 3 long and arduous years - what a relief! Not that I will be going to the graduation ball.

I managed to trip over the cat beds today and landed with a great big bump on my arse - DH found me crying like a big pathetic doughball - I am soo emotional this pregnancy. I don't know if it is because I have been having 'therpay' which is helping me to release negative emotions or if it just because I am a bit pathetic hmm

Anyway I managed to twist my foot, the same one which I ripped the big toe nail off of when I was vomiting - caught it on the bathroom tile floor, then I whacked it into the sofa and my toes are still stiff form that and now this! I've managed to tweak my groin ligament too - feeling very sorry for myself>

Never mind...

TAFFY - sorry pregnant brain - there is a TAFFtaff on my July thread! How are your eyes now - the skin problem you had?

Take care all

PL - hope you are okay.
SAMSMAM - they sure do look like each other don't they? smile wee cuties with big sad eyes - is that you or your DH they look like?
Take Sam to a homepath for her tonsills - did wonders for mine.

Amber looks like her Daddy but is a mini-me personlaity wise. Wonder what this liitly willl be like hmm

Poor Edward GINGEME - hope he is better soon.

Had MW today - my blood wouldn't come out - she had to do the other arm as well - it was juts trickling! Bizarre. Anwya baby has head down but body diagonal - can feel it anyway - very uncomfy and hard to breathe. Heartbeat was strong and LOUD!! Sounded really different form Ambers - much slower.
I really wanted a waterbirth with Amber so was asking today - they have just installed a pool here but it is first come first serve so I think I am going to buy one anyway - as this will be the last baby we have and I would love a waterbirth is at all possible.

Also asked about the syntometrine - last time it made me puke and puke but she said as I had to have a manual removal of placenta last time they would want me to have help this time - I can try syntocinon.
Also I can get out in under 6 hours if all is well - grin I soo do not want to have to stay in!!

TAFFTAFF - Amber is a cake fiend! Anything doughy - bread, scones etc. She is good at eating veg though - I always make it teeny for her. She is a total carnivore too - loves meat!

Take care allxxx
Hi all, taffy you are dead right. I just want to scream...... just found a few minutes to read thru all posts. Been suffering her with both girls being porrly with coughs, colds and whatever else. Finally today the doctor has given both girls antibiotics at the same time as they just keep passing it backwards and forwards.
Sam has had tonsillitus now 4 times in 8 months so one more then I shall start the demanding!

Rumpel July will soon come round. Ah I'll get all broody if you post pics!

We are hoping to get away to a haven caravan park with both girls at the end of June- should be exciting- or interesting the word methinks.

Think I read EP was pregant again? Congrats I may have already said that but my mind is a bit scrambled.

Have posted a recent pic of the two girls together on my profile- taken yesterday. smile
Evening ladies.
Got a poorly Edward here at the moment. He has conjunctivitis. Took him to the docs today and hes got cream. Hes been such an angel letting me put it on smile
We have started George on solids now and Edward hovers around to finnish whatever George leaves. Funny thing is he never liked baby food once it started getting bits in it.
Hes waving bye bye now too and giving big open mouth kisses which are pretty sloppy smile. The only word he dosn't seem to say is Mummy. Not sure why.
I got the door bouncy thing out the shed the other day for George and remember Edward bouncing around in it. Only seems like five minutes ago shock
Well Im off to bed now.
Take care all xx
Welcome back nic!

Congrats on your B+ rumpel! Good luck with the other one too.
I had no B+H with either pregnancy - i feel sorry for you having them all the time. Roll on July hey.

Owen is fussy with his food now too. He used to eat his sister's left overs but since easter he has discovered the nicer things in life (eg choc) he still likes fruit tho and he has learnt a new word and constantly shouts 'bic bic' at me when I'm trying to cook dinner!!

Babyducky - it is my sister's wedding on the montage page (hope you noted the groovy cake what I made)

Samsmam must be v. busy - not been on here for a while.

Hope you get your shower soon rumpelgrin
HI All,

Nice to hear form you NIC.

1 result still to go GINGEME! before I can relax. I keep telling Amber I have a baby in my tum but she prob is a bit yung to understand. She just likes to dig her elbows in or bounce on me like she does her Dad - arggg!

Amber loves the brush and pan too, and cleans everything with a cloth ( I use cloths to wash her face and hands). She also likes to copy me in the garden and digs, waters etc with her own gardening equipment. Funnily enough I was looking at footage of Amber today too - I was recording her in the garden on her trampoline and looked at the stuff of her when she was teeny - so cute - so big ba' heeded!!

I have the MW tomorrow so we'll see how this littly is doing. DH is way for a few days so on me tod. I am waiting for the plumber/tiler to get back to me as he is supposed to be fitting a shower above the bath - I am in severe danger of getting wedged in the shower door now!! Blooming tradesmen!!

Take care allxxx
Evening ladies and hello again seona smile
nicand2 I found an old video of Edward just walking the other day. He looks like a little old drunk smile and one in his door bouncy thing which ds5 now goes in and loves it. Yes must admit it did bring a tear to my eyes too.
Oh Rumple well done on your result. Now you can relax a bit and look forward to your new arrival. Hows Amber taking it all in?
Edward has had a very high temp over the weekend. Much better now though but he has conjunctivitis so Im ringing the docs first thing in the morning.
He too loves cleaning though more traditionaly with my dust pan and brush. Trouble he sweeps everything including George hmm
Well I hope everyone else is keeping ok. Take care all xx

Hi all, I seem to have some rare time on my hands so I've been browsing mumsnet and thought I'd look in on you all. Toby is nearly 18 months now - he is EXTREMELY strong willed and having some almighty tantrums already. He has quite a few words and is really making himself understood now - even if most of it is 'No' with lots of head shaking! He is also a 'cleaner' and already has 2 toy hoovers (his pride and joy) he is never happier than when he's following me with a hoover or wiping down a table!
Found some old video of him as a baby today whilst adding a recent holiday to the disc, it brough a tear to my eye to think how quickly the time has gone.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their families.

Babyducky - yes I was on the antenatal thread and I remember talking about whether raspberry leaf tea woild help in labour (never made a difference in the end though and my second labour was longer than my first due to ds being back to back)

Rumpel - when are you due? (I gather it is quite soon) I remember sorting out unisex clothes for ds and they do look sooo tiny smile I never got braxton hicks with either pregnancy (or if I did I didnt notice them).

Ewan has started following me to the toilet now and sits down on the little stool at the sink and then tries to wipe his bum with a bit of toilet roll (still has nappy and trousers on!!) before putting it in the toilet - looks so cute and I suppose it means he is learning what the toilet is for.
Hi All - whoopee!! smile got a B+ for my first essay - best mark I've received this course shock cannot quite believe it as I found it such a struggle.

Hi SEONA - welcome.

Amber has started becoming more 'selective' where food is concerned - she has very sweet tooth and turns her nose up at fruit now - but she still eats veg with things. She adores cake, bread, doughy things - no idea where she gets it from blush hmm

Am very tired now have over done it this week - bought the rest of the stuff needed for hospital bag, took DD to garden centre, been gardening this am then Dh got baby stuff out of loft - huge pile of unisex stuff to wash now. Was sad looking at Amber's teeny weeny clothes form when she was newborn. She is a huge MONSTER now smile

My bump is aching and terrible BH - did you get them more with each pg Samsmam and Ginegeme and PL and Taffy?

Must go as stuff to do - as usual. Take care allxxx
evening all,
just a quick hello

rumpel- not long left for you now!
Has the sickness finally stopped?

good luck for your essay results.

hey seona, im sure you were on our antenatal thread??? Or am i thinking of someone else?

My LO has started to get a lot more fussy with his food lately, still pretty good, but quite often refuses to try something new, just pushes it away if he doesnt recognise it!
Luckily though he loves fruit & veg, & his fave food is pasta, he loves it, so I can hide most things in that & he normally eats it.

Hi I have just found this thread. I have a dd Emma who is 4 1/2 and ds Ewan who is my October baby (born on the 1st). He is very mobile but not much of a speaker yet, unlike dd, but I am not worried as he is trying to say things but it doesnt come out quite right. He is a heavy drinker (just water, juice, milk, etc...lol) but it means I have to change him at least every 2 1/2 to 3 hours or he leaks everywhere!! DD is the opposite and I have to practically force a drink down her so she gets enough.

Have any of yours turned into fussy eaters? DS avoids veg like anything but will eat fruit till it comes out his ears. If he doesnt want whats on his plate he just pushes it away.

Hope to speak to some of you soon. Seona x
Hi All,

Been busy as per usual. Amber has had the cold = no sleep = me getting the cold = more no sleep sad.

My Bro and neice came through Fri then we had visitors for dinner Sat so spent all day yesterday cleaning the house and felt awful today - so sore. I am getting loads of sore braxton hicks with this one - I am sure I am not going to make it full term - I feel huge and am thinking 37 - 38 weesk this time - we'll see hmm. Not seeing the MW again until next week (31wks) and haven't seen one since 16 weeks! I'll be glad to know that Lo is round the right way etc.

BABYDUCKY - yep I am a complememntary and beauty therapist. I had my own place for 9 years before I started teaching at college. I am still waiting on my final 2 essay results for Uni to see if I have finally got my BATQFE after 3 long long long years!! wink

I bought Amber proper pants today to let her wear them in the garden and teach her how to pull em up and down. She managed a poo in the potty the other day but I figure over the summer is the best time then if she has accidents they can water the grass smile.

How are you EFFIPERRINE? PRINCESS - you too?
How is wee Sophie SAMSMAM and how are you TAFFY? Hardly any of us on here now! There are 78 on my July thread now!!! shock Takes you blooming ages to catch up if you have missed even one day!

Hope you are all well and George is okay GINGEME - do you need a BCG 'cos you love in London? You don't get them up here anymore.
xxxx

PS Haven't checked out anyone's montages for ages - sorry am just so busy just now!
Hi everyone smile
Yes it is quiet here just lately.
Hi babyducky potty training already your brave! Your lucky he drinks water Edward wont touch it except to bath inhmm he'll have juice though. I put a cup in nis cot for the morning then hell have a cup with his breakfast then just generaly through the day and a cup with his dinner. He started saying 'pooh' so I thought he was indicating he was doing/had done a pooh but then he saw a picture of Winnie pooh and he pointed and said 'pooh, winnie pooh,. I was so impressed with him smile He also pointed to a picture of a ball and says 'ball, ball'.
Hes realy coming along now.
Lovely montage taffy. I love doing them when the boys get bigger and do more.
Well sorry this is short but were off to the docs with George now. His BCG site still hasn't settled after all this time.
Take care everyone. xxx
hi,

blimey its been quiet on here, bet everyone is out enjoyong the sunshine!

lovely montage taffy, they are both so gorgeous!
How old is your dd?

I looked at the wedding montage(sorry im nosey!)

Is that the wedding you were telling us about?
Your sisters wasnt it?

glad you enjoyed your holiday rumpel, the treatments sound lovely.

Are you a beauty therapist then?

Have got a potty now & a book, he has been sitting on it before his bath, hasnt done anything in it yet, he prefers to wee up the side of the bath!
Not putting him in pants yet, just getting him used to the potty at the mo, & teaching him how to pull his trousers up & down.

What have all your LOs been wearing in bed?
Kai's room has been 28 last few nights, he's just been wearing a vest & nappy But he keeps waking up boiling hot & sweaty!

Also how much are they drinking?
he's been having 2 or 3 quite big cups of water & a cup of juice in the morning with breakfast.

Does that seem enough?

x
Just a quickie - babyducky and gingeme always spur me on to do another montage so here goes
www.onetruemedia.com/my_shared?z=13399ddf14c00879936ab4&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url
Hi All,

Welcome SPARKLE smile

We have just had a few nights at Crieff Hydro - I had a pre-natal massage and a reflexology - very nice smile DH had a coupld of back/shoulder massages - I used to give him treatments regularly but he has been neglected over the past couple of years.

Was absolute torture trying to sleep with Amber in a cot (too small for her) and Dh in the room - SNORING!! So was exhausted by the time we got home yesterday. Was great to see amber in the pool though - she loves swimming and theyc losed the pool here - new one isn't opned unitl next year. Anyway that was our hol' for the year.

Beautiful weather so been washing like mad since we got back as my tumble drier is knackered. Washed all my new nappies and boosters smile and finally put Amber back into resusables today -thought it would help with the potty training and much better for her bum. Have been using enviro disposables for the last 6 months due to pukiness!

I thought I would buy her wee pants and let her run around in teh garden in the summer so it might help her to potty train. She sits on the potty when I go for a wee and before her bath but has only done a wee in it once and a poo once. I am going to makea concerted effort to try to train her now though.

TAFFY - thanks for the essay comment - I just hope I pass now or I will be devestated sad Can't beleive it has been a year since Owen's mishap. Have you treid massaging in vit e oil? You could go see an aromatherapist and get them to mix up some oils for you. lavender, rose and petitgrain are good for skin renewal.

My SIL had a wee girl last Wed - Katie.

10 weeks to go for me - don't htink this wee one is going to wait that long though. I have terrible braxton hicks this time and I just have a feeling I am going to go early - this one is forever whacking me and making my whole body jump!

Anyway must go as loads to do.

Take care allxxxxxxx
nice to hear from u pl,
got any new pics?

thanks gingeme, havent started yet, gotta get a potty still! Or 2? One upstairs, one downstairs?

Not sure where to start with it really, might get a book, Ive asked my mum & she cant remember anything from when us lot were potty trained but said we were all completely dry by 18 months/2 at the oldest!

How come people did it so much earlier years ago?

oooh i love london zoo, gonna take kai soon.
Glad the boys enjoyed it.

Just having a nice break from the sun, got a bit sunburnt yesterday,

We are off to the park to play football when kai finally wakes up!
He's been a lot more tired the last few days since its been sunny.

x
Afternoon ladies. What a lovely day today.
We took Edwards side off his cotbed this morning and put the safety guard on. He took himself off to bed at 10.45 and fell asleep in about 2 minutes smile.
We went to London Zoo yesterday. The boys absolutely loved it. Edwrad was allowed to run free round most of the zoo which he thought was great fun and he didn't get lost! Totaly knackered and filthy by the end of the day and fast asleep on the way home smile
Hope evryone else is ok and the pregnant ladies arent suffering too much in the heat.
Take care all xxx
hi it's me. only have a sec as hope is just waking up. just to say i'm still here even though never seem to have time to post have been reading. hi misssparkle. we're thinking about potty training. my life seems to be all about poo right now! and breastfeeding. oh, and balamory...
congrats effiep.
lots of love to you all. will try later!
No advice just be patient, lots and lots of praise when lo's successful but don't scold when theyre not. I think your all very brave. Im not planning on trying Edward till hes atleast 2.
Thats brill that Kai says bum after hes poohed though. Hes very early.
We went to a fair today and Edward had a go on a couple of rides with his big brother. He loved them. I had to go on the tea cups with them though and I felt just a bit dick and sizzy when I got off. The boys laughed all the way round though as did dh hmm
Were off to London Zoo tommorrow as dh has the day off. Can't wait .
Have a goos one ladies and keep us posted smile
evening all,

welcome mssparkle.

taffy- glad owens doing ok, & Im glad you are feeling ok about it.

Yeah im hoping kai's skin will improve with the weather getting warmer, he had perfectly clear skin last summer so fingers crossed!

Im gonna slowly start potty training this week, Im not really expecting it to go well but thought i may as well try, He knows when he's pooed, he comes over to me & says 'bum' & starts to walk up the stairs!
Any advice taffy or gingeme or anyone else?

Hope you're all having a nice weekend,x
Welcome MsSparkle. Goodluck with potty training! I started my dd at 2 and she didn't take to it till she was 3!!! I think I will wait with ds till he asks, as i got sooo stressed over it all with dd. I too was envious of people telling me theirs did it at 1 year!

Babyducky, owen is doin fine. It is a year ago today since 'the accident'. The scar is not settling as quickly as they'd hoped sad and he's got an appointment in june with a technologist to see if they can get an impression of his arm and make an acrylic plate so we can get lots of compression on it. It sounds bad, but there are people with worse scenarios, eg I sometimes see a little boy in clinic with an acrylic face mask.
I thought I would be depressed today about it being the anniversary but i am feeling strangely optimistic cos at the time i didn't believe life would get back to normal and it has!
Good luck with the homeopath about kai's skin. Hope they are more help than the rubbishy dermatologist. Will the warmer weather help it do you think?

Its abit quiet on here lately. RL is too busy with our little ones. Especially those with more than one. I tend to go on here when DH is on night shifts (as now!)
Congratulations smile
Your first?
Are you going to give it a try?
Let us know how you get on if you do. Don't rush it though and if you have carpets buy some 1001 carpet trouble shooter grin and plenty of kitchen towel.

My dd was born Oct 06 so she is coming up 19mths.smile
Hi Misssparkle and welcome. How old is your dc? All dc's are different in the way of potty training though I started all mine at about two years old. I do however let Edward have a bit of 'naked time' about 10 mons before bath time which is when I'm most thankful for having wooden flooringgrin. Its a bit like having a puppy with little puddles everywhere.
Just one word of advice don't listen to anyone else only you know your child and their routine and what they eat etc. If you feel ready to give it a try do. If lo doesn't get on put the potty away till another time.
Hope that helps. smile

Hi all, i had no idea this thread was here!blush

My little dd is napping at the moment. Is anyone thinking of potty training soon or is it still too early? I have MIL breathing down my neck telling me how her daughter (now 43) was potty trained by the age of 1!angry
Thanks taffy, yeah I dont think he's too skinny.

Kai loves his mickey mouse slippers!
He's obsessed with mickey mouse, watches it on disney channel every morning before breakfast, soon as he wakes up he says mi mi, thats what he calls it, grin

Yeah im hoping he will grow out of it, its so scary!

We are going to see a homeopath next week about his skin, see what they say.

I've had to hide his medicine in his yogurt & weetabix today, he didnt even notice luckily!

How is owen now?

Hows everyone else doing?

x
Congratulations EP,hope the next 8 months goes smoothly for you!

Rumpel - i am so glad you got your essays in!!

Cute montages (how do you have the time ladies?). George is soo cute (not allowed to be broody, am selling all my baby stuff!). Kai is very handsome and not too skinny (horrid dr prob used to seeing obese kids). He has the same mickey mouse slippers as owen!!

Owen is great at climbing. He can now get on the dining table (eek) and has discovered how to move smaller pieces of furniture in order to gain height and climb bigger pieces of furniture. He's fallen a few times but not learnt his lesson yet.
He is starting to say more words other than cat now, we sometimes get car now too! Of course he says dada too.

oh, babyducky, my nephew used to do that holding breath thing. He used to go blue round the mouth but never passed out. Hopefully it is a phase he'll grow out of. I guess he probably gets a great reaction from everyone when he does it, but I don't see how you can't react to it really. I expect blowing his face or putting water on him is probably the best thing to do.
Also can't believe the crappy dermatology opinion you got. Are you going to get a second opinion?
Re medicine, i hide owen's in his food. However, he's now gone off yoghurt after 6 months of it everyday with hidden medicine! I still get away with it in the weetabix though.
lol, i said to dp earlier that edward looked older than kai!

Whenever i see LOs his age i always think they seem older than him!

I know theres not many of me, its always me taking the photos!

Actually ive just booked kai a portrait session for next month Im gonna get them to do a couple of just me & him aswell.

He's ok, he hates his medicine though!

x
Kai is just lovely. He looks older than Edward somehow. Imagine the chaos if they met up? Not many of you on there though!
Hows he doing now?
aw gingeme thats so cute, made me really broody!

Love the one of your 2 youngest boys together, they look so alike!

They are gorgeous,

You have reminded me to do mine!

Morning ladies. Another montage for you to enjoy.
Hope you are all well. xxx
hey gingeme, luckily i dont see that doc much, there is another doc i normally see who i really like so dont really wanna change.
We always joke that the one i saw today fancies dp, as he's always sooo nice to him & funny with me! He even mentioned dp today, Kai was crying(coz doc had just stuck something in his ear!) & he said 'i bet he doesnt behave like this for his father!'
Im gonna make sure i dont see him again!
Idiot!

Kai has been doing it for a few months i think, yeah he only does it if he gets really angry coz he doesnt get his own way, just does silent crying & holds his breath for ages, we have to blow in his face or throw water on him to snap him out of it but sometimes he does actually pass out for a few seconds, he goes all floppy.

Its really scary.

I was reading a thread on here about it a few weeks ago, & people were saying to get it checked out, seems quite common though.
Doc didnt seem bothered at all, i told health visitor before aswell & she said not to worry.
I dunno what to do really,
anyway better go to bed, night all zzzzz
Oh my God babyducky shock your gp sounds like a right pig angry can you change him?
How long has Kai been doing this? Sounds scary. Is it temper?
evening all,

wow very impressed with all ambers words rumpel!
Glad everythings ok.
Enjoy your holiday!

lol at trAHHzers! EP, grin
How are you feeling?

Gingeme- my nephew & niece just had that slapped cheeks thingy.

Kai has got an ear infection again, took him to docs today, I really hate my doc, He said kai was too skinny & he must have issues with food?!! I didnt even mention anything about food/weight he just came out with it!

Also i said about his crying/holding his breath thing when he sometimes passes out & he just told me to smack him whenever he starts being naughty then he will stop playing me up!
I said that sometimes he passes out for a few seconds & he said dont worry he'll wake up eventually!

I dunno why i didnt say anything to him really, I just wanted to get out of there, im cross with myself now though! angry
Evening ladies. Your little ones are endearing. Edward is realy producing vowle sounds now. He went straight up to ds3's Bob rucksack today and said bop grin he currently has slapped cheek syndrome which I didnt even know he had until my sil told me my niece and nephew have it and told me the symptoms. ds5 has it too though he had the classic red cheeks. I thought Edward had chicken pox you see cause the rash is very similur. Anyway apparantly once the rash has appeared they are no longer contagious. That means we still have chicken pox to look forward to hmm
Effieperrin hows the morning sickness?
Rumpel phew glad you can relax finaly and ejoy the end of your pregnancy.
Edward loces his reighns.Hes ok if you keep up with him and don't ug them but if you do he does a rag doll impression and flops about all over the place angry
Rumpel: due New Years Eve or thereabouts . A long long way away - only 5 weeks atm. DS also does the phone thing with bricks hmm - he also walks round with his 'phone' jammed between his neck and ear going Ello Ello which cracks me up grin

DH has taught him to say 'trousers' and is v proud. It's funny cos his CM has a strong London/Essex accent so he comes out with all sorts of interesting vowels - before DH took him in hand it was trAHHzers. We get the occasional Oy Vey as well which he must be picking up from the neighbours grin
Hi All,

EFFIEPERRIN - huge congrats! smile Fingers crossed for you xxx When are you due?

I am a zombie - Amber has been awakening between 2am - 3am for the past 10 nights and not settling for ages as she has more teeth coming in. 12 at the mo' and more molars pinching.

Got my last essay completed today - need to hand it in tomorrow so hopefully will pass the 2 of them and then I can enjoy life for a while - thank God!!

Feeling pretty huge now - 12 weeks to go yet sad

Went to the Baby show in glasgow on Sat and bought loads of stuff. A P+T in Apple green.
It was great - loads of bargains.

Amber is now saying - bye bye, juice, shoes, bubbles, wee wee and trying to say bare bum and fat boy (cat) smile Bought her a horsey back pack today which is reins as she is so fast now and all that stooping kills your back!

She is very funny - picks up calculators/remote controls and talks into them as though she is on the telephone grin

We are off to Crieff Hydro this weekend for 3 nights - our holiday for the year. I have booked in for a pre-natal face and body treatment and Dh is having a back massage. Amber is going into the creche for an nour every day and we have booked a babysitter for Sat night so we can have our second meal since she was born just the 2 of us smile
I'm looking forward to taking her swimming as she hasn'[t been since Oct - they ahve closed the pool here and new one is opened until next year.

MY SIL is due this Sat.

Hope you are all well and newbies are settling in okay.

PL - not been on for a while wonder how Ferdie is?

xxxx
Hi all,
Samantha's cold has nearly gone- no more snot but really blocked, must be about the 5th week now.
She has 16 teeth, just the 4 big back ones (2 top and 2 bottom) to get. Probably another cold to go with that too!

Both DD's are getting along ok. Sophie sleeping from 9-7am. Think I have been blessed with another good night sleeper. [touch wood]

Just busily cutting out my Sun holiday tokens for my £15 holiday. Need to get away!

Rumpel- how are you, did you do your last essay on time?

Have a good weekend all, meant to be a sunny one. hmm
babyducky I value my fingers too much to attempt to count Edwards teeth grin but I think he has around 12 too.
Samsam its just amazing how your girls look so alike. So beautiful.
Eward has taken to biting David angry. If David takes a toy off him or doesn't let him play he bites him. I never know who to tell off first. Edwrad looks so sorry after hes done it though it melts my heart hmm
Havn't thought about a big bed yet though it would just mean taking the side iff the cot bed. But he moves around so much Im afraid hell end up on the floor. I remember David the same and falling asleep in the middle of the bedroom.
hi everyone, hope you're all ok

congratulations EP x

Rumpel- hows amber gettin on in her big bed?

samsmam- lovely new pics, has samanthas cold gone yet? Kais had a lot of colds lately, everytime he gets a new tooth he gets one!

how many teeth have all your LOs got now?
kai has got 12 & another two on the way i think.

love the pic of all your boys together gingeme, aw! x
New pictures on profile. smile Be back later.
Yey EfiePerrin well done grin
How horrid for lo . Glad all is well now.
Hi Samsam hows things with your dd's? Any more pics? How are you coping now any better?
Wonder how Rumple is.
Were all ok here. Edward has a clump of blister like spots on his right thigh. Keeping a close eye on them as chicken pox is going round at the moment sad
George is just briliant. Hes rolling on to his front now and has a good look round. He sleeps from 7.30pm to 5am roughly. Much better than any of my other ds's at this age.
Well keep us posted on your progress EP smile
Congrats EP. smile I was wondering who would be next. Glad DS is on the mend now. smile
Hope everyone is well. Just found out that I'm pg again - early days yet . Am a little anxious at the thought of dealing with TWO of them!

We had a bit of scare with DS - he was admitted to hospital with suspected meningitis. Turned out to be a mystery virus and he's pretty much recovered now . He did not like being in the ward at all.
Morning how is everyone?
Everyones well here.
Edwrad saying a few more words now though most things are stil dandad smile
Hes un doing his zips now too. I put his fleece on the other day all ready to go out and he undid the zip and took it off. Took three arrempts to get him to keep it on. He gets himself out of his sleeping bag now too. I thought ds3 had undone it for him but apparantly not.
George is doing well. He is rolling over now. Hes laughing all the time too. Or so it seems.
Hope you are all well.
Hello
Quick post- as usual!
Lovely pics Gingeme. smile

I'm ok- have my up and down days, trying to get thru without starting antidepressants again. hmm
I'm holding on to Gingeme's comment that it gets easier, it makes me feel better.

Rumpel respect for you and your studying and looking after LO and being pregnant.
Need to try the big bed thing again. Last time was so stressful I put the cotside back on. I quite like the silentnight childrens divan beds.

Samantha still has her cold three weeks later. Wish it would just go. sad
Hi Rumpel. My eldest will be 14 on the 8th May. Can't believe it. I dyed his hair black for him. He's a wannabe Goth hmm
ds3 is poorly again. He has a terrible sore throat and had a high temp earlier today. I just don't think his immune system recovered from last week so hes picked this up quick.
Oh well break out the Calpol again.
Hope you have a good weekend.

Aww! GINGEME - they are so cute! How old are your eldest boys now?

Hope you are all well - SAMSMAM - how you coping?

Any TTC BFPs yet for the rest of you?

xxxxxx
Evening ladies.
No Rumpel the boys don't have any accent. Yes it is very quiet without them here but my other three soon make up for that smile.
Edward has been mega clingy lately too. He climbs all over George if hes laying on my bed and Im chatting to him. Can be quite difficult splittng my attention between the three.
I havn't attempted a big bed for Edward yet. Can't imagine the damage they'd do between the two of them in their room.
George is growing fast. He does some lovely little sqeals now and can roll over from his back to front now too smile
Ive updated my pics on my profile page by the way. My big boys are on there now.
Hope you are all well xx
Hi All,

Hope you are all well.

Been really busy in the garden and trying to write my final essay arggggg! Am demented - so tired just now and sore undercarriage.

Put Amber into her big bed 3 nights ago and she awoke at 5am the last 2 mornings but was okay this morning. She has suddenly got really clingy though - crying at nursery the last 3 Weds.hmm

Am mega mega crabbit just now and really short tempered (another red head here GINGEME). Glad you enjoyed your boys GINGE - must be quiet and a wrench when they go. Have they got a Scottish accent yet - a we Highland lilt?

Must go Amber has awoken and I can hear her DESTROYING!!! She is pre-programmed to DESTROY!!!!!!!!!!

Edwards had a good week with my big boys beinghere. Lots of rough and tumble. Shame theyve gone home now sad
Boys are all in good health again thank goodness. It was ds3's 4th birthday yesterday and we went out to eat. He ate loads and some of mine too grin
Feeling very tired today its all catching up on me now.
Going to see my osteopath tomm morning. My left knee is very painful. I went to my docs about it and he says it feels as if I have torn one of the ligaments. My osteopath is brill so hopefuly he can sotr it.
