Last Saturday I was going down a slide with dd on my lap, lost my balance and fell sideways smacking my ankle off the side of the slide. It hurt a bit at the time and I even managed to go for a run later that night but haven't managed one since as it's so blimmin sore. I can't move it in certain directions and it gets sore if I walk too long. It doesn't seem visibly bruised or swollen and I've been wearing an elasticated bandage.
Is there anything else I could/should be doing?

RICE - rest, ice, compression and exercise. And painkillers take ibuprophen for the internal bruising. Sit down and see if you can write the alphabet in the air with your foot. Keep trying over the days and it should help. Do keep everything moving, if you don't it locks up and that's a real pain. If it does't improve head for the doctor.

Thanks. I'm breastfeeding though and I'm fairly sure I can't take ibuprofen. Will keep moving it

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
