Anyone recommend a product that might moisturise my feet? The second I went into sandals, I got one, single but deep heel split but my skin isn't THAT horny, and a split under my 4th toe. I've 'closed' both with elastoplast but obviously that's only a short term measure. Any ideas about how I can reduce the risk? Products? Podiatry?

Ooh I have this and have just bought some special cream from Boots - own brand. Hope it works as also just bought some stupidly high (given that I'm 6 months pregnant) wooden wedge heels from Gap.

I use Body Shop hemp cream for very dry skin on my feet, with that ultimate erotic accessory - socks! hmm

Mainly I do the sock thing if dh is working away! It works a treat.

I'm going to get some Calmurid on your suggestion, bundle. My feet aren't actually bad but I fear that that's "bad yet" not "never will get bad".

Do I need to get anything else from there? They're a bit too north for me, I might try a medi pedi somewhere nearer here or in the West End or does anyone know of a good place in Canary Wharf?

Miljee, is it any chance it's athlete's foot? I get that from time to time - the split in my toes and use Daktarin powder spray (not the cream) which sorts it quickly. I need to do my shoes too to keep it at bay.

Any cream with some urea contaied in it will work wonders. I'm not sure if flexitol does or not ( think maybe it does ). I used a similar cream last year, I think it was a scholl one. Fatastic stuff. I recently bought something from a company called Derma Doctor for my upper arms and that horrible rashy pimply thing I get. ( it was called heavy duty KP scrub, and heavy duty KP cream if you're interested i that also )

I have also used the scrub that was for my arms o my feet - a bit it like a chemical peel, thought not as drastic! It is amazing, my feet have never been better and it was almost instant. Instantly, they felt amazing, then just got better and better. Then i applied the foot cream they'd given me free.

Ooooh, scb, can you get Dermadoctor here or do you have to import it & risk VAT etc? Only DS1 has Keratosis Pilaris (at least I think that's what it is, on his upper arms), he would love to get rid of it smile

Just a quick update on the cream I bought from Boots (it's their own brand of Flexitol I think). I've applied it twice and it's already made a huge difference. Definitely recommended.

Wendyweber, yes it's called keratosis Pilaris

I've bought from them twice online, and its been fine. Took about a week to deliver. No problems. It was still really reasonable price wise. I guess there is the risk of VAT though. Sorry, can't help more on that

Wendyweber, have you tried eucerin cream (contains urea) - available from boots - it unblocks the little plugs that cause k.p. - works well for my upper arms ...

Apparently massaging the feet with the inside of a banana skin is supposed to be good!

I ended up getting Flexitol as I was walking past a Boots and decided to get something to remove the dead skin, too. Luverly.

The DermaDoctor stuff looks fab, too. And slightly off-topic, I want one of these but they're not available here yet, bah.
