I'd do it now. A fever of unknown origin always needs checking out. The chances are te GP should send her to your local childrens A&E to see a paediatrician if they can't find a cause so be prepared. You really should call them right now though.NHS Direct can get hold of them for you. Do you know the number?

temp lowered now and she is able to sit up. gp told me to keep an eye on her, but the fever seems to have broken. she is just really tired and has not been sick.gp thinks it is prbably a virus combined with getting overheated- she suffers form heat stroke occasionally.have been advised ot give her a cool bath this eve if she is able. she managed to watch dr. who smile
gp is calling back tomorrow to check her.
gawd it frightened me...

You know it's infectious? seperate utensils etc as it's spread through saliva. Did the blood tests show anything else?

I've had that, it can be horrid. Poor thing, I hope she's feeling better soon.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
