Honest question. Is this site a religious site?

(835 Posts)
It seems to me there's a large amount of Christian posts. I've also noticed a fair amount of disapproval for other religions.

I am an atheist. I don't really want to be part of a christian site posing as a parenting site.

So is this actually a Christian place?

grin
Before they started mentioning portion sizes, a colleague did ask if an olive in a drink counted as one ... by the time we added a glace cherry on top of a cake, the fruit in the jam doughnut, and all the stuff in a jug of Pimms, we reckoned it was pretty easy really.... grin

Shh Rustybear, you are onto me.

Jaffa Cakes - 1 (well,they are orangy)
Carrot Cake - 2
Banana Sundae - 3

Etc.

Hmm. So why have I put all this weight on?
However, classifying carrot cake as one of your '5 portions for a healthy diet' might be a little contentious.....

Oh good (chomps on carrot cake)

I am trying to diet ATM so it is ALL I had for dinner the other night.
Well, if marshmallows are officially biscuits (as the Inland Revenue have finally admitted) I'm sure you could make a case for carrot cake

Indeed. Is carrot cake actually classifiable as biscuit? Because it is what I am eating right now and is v.v.nice.

Right you are then, Ted. Shall we ask Mrs Doyle for some more biscuits?

Ah. That would be an ecumenical matter. wink

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
