Just got dd's ammended statement plus a letter from that wanker Education Officer in the LEA. He says she can't have hydrotherapy as its not recommended by any health professional. Firtsly, what child with spastic quadraplegic cerebral palsy doesn't benefit from hydro and secondly, I went through the attatched reports and in the physios one it says 'X will benefit from hydrotherapy'
So now I have to wait till Tuesday to tear his head off. Am so cross.

He's called Nathan and is exactly like that Nathan from Casualty. Once reffered to dd as 'children like that' at a statement review.

I did slam my stick down on the table and later on tell him he was misinformed, had never met my dd and had better check facts before making statemnts about her ability.
I don't think he'd been told off by a disabled person before. After all, we are meant to be subservient and grateful.
wanker.

gave him a peice of my mind and he admitted he hadn't read the farking reports from doctor/physio/OT. Then he said it would be tricky getting hydro as I have picked a school without a hydro pool. Thats cos I don't want her stuck in a fucking special ghetto you moron, I hissed and mainstream schools don't have hydro.
But its on her statement boyo so you'll hafta do it I added.
Then he said that getting the 'extra' added would delay our school choice etc etc so I mentioned IPSEA and my mate disability equalities guy Mark Williams who the LEA hate and things got less heated.
Wanker.

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
