Title says it all really - this comes up as a symptom quite often but what does it actually taste of????

Is it a metalic taste? That's what i get when i'm pregnant.

I get this at bang on 3 weeks - several days before my period is due, and it lasts throughout pregnancy, though it does fade a bit. Very, very had to describe a taste, but you often hear it described as metallic - and that sort of fits. I also find that tea in particular starts tasting really funny at this time, and that's the end of my lovely cuppa for 9 months!!!

It sounds like such a vague symptom, but it is so utterly distinctive in my case - second time round I just knew I was pregnant even though I got 2 negative tests before a third was finally positive. Third time round I was even more sure and told a couple of good friends before I even had a positive test result and before my period was late.

This was the only clue I had this time. My cuppa tasted really bitter...I can almost describe it as if you had just breathed in a mouth full of hairspray. The taste stays at the back of my throat when i swallow.

I had an awful taste with my pregnancy - also from about 3 weeks pregnant. I thought it tasted REALLY bitter, like a bad cup of tea? And it seemed to permanently be at the edges of my mouth - no matter how much water I drank to try and wash it away.

I didn't think it was at all metallic (in my case) but know everyone is different.

To me it tastes like a stale morning breath taste..if you'd been eating something really strong the night before and drank lots of strong tea..does that help at all?!

I have to keep cleaning my teeth and of course it still comes back again!

It is a bit metallic.
