I wanted to do a pg test this am, and had a wee in a pot. Then people turned up unexpectedly at the house and have only just left. Grrrr

The wee is still there in the kitchen cupboard - have been dreading anyone opening it all day grin

So, do I use this 'morning' wee, or do a fresh one?

Have one pg test and no money to buy any more. Am about 4 days late.

I think it will be ok to do it now with the wee in the cupboard, as HCG doesn't break down, well it does but only after at least 24 hrs...

Go and test and post the result grin

Quick quick!

Ok, but if I take the lid off and it smells I'm going to chuck it (or perhaps chuck up!)

Taking laptop to kitchen...

He was very excited grin

Said he had been feeling sad because he thought we had run out of time for having a sibling for DD.

Have already discussed, and not come to any agreement about, names. grin

Am so happy.smile

DD is 19mo. Have told her that she will hopefully have a brother or sister soon. She was very unimpressed and just carried on smearing weetabix smile

Have been ttc for 5 months. Not very long really, but have had clotting probs in the past, and my consultant only gave me 3 months to conceive due to the drug I'm using. He gave me an extension of another 2 months when I got a bit watery-eyed. grin

So this was our last cycle of trying. I pulled out all the stops - used OPK for the first time, called DP home from work when I was randy as a randy thing wink

I wish you the best of luck with ttc your DC2. Don't worry - according to your profile, you are a full decade younger than me. Pleeeenty of time. grin

thanks rambleon! It took 4 years to have DS. My consultant now has given me six months I have 5 months to go before he will start fertility treatment.

I am so happy for you!! Now rest up as much as you can with a toddler! Do you have friends and family who can help you out?

I am resting up as much as poss, especially as my legs have already swollen in this hot weather. I spent my last pregnancy with no visible ankles, looks like this one is panning out the same smile

I'm blessed with a great family, and very sympathetic friends as we have all had a baby boom in the last few years. Haven't told everyone yet, but they know that I'm ttc and I'm sure they'll pick up on the miniscule amount of alcohol I'll be drinking at the weekend grin

I phoned my lovely consultant today to tell him the news. He was very pleased for me. I said "Thank you so much for getting me pg". He replied, "I didn't get you pg, I'll argue the point in a court of law, I'm medically trained you know!" blushgrin

Four years is a long time - you must have been anxious. At least you have proven fertility, if you've done it once...

Are you using OPKs? I only ask because I have some left over which could do with a good home, and they're expensive aren't they? I have broken into the pack, but I think there are 6 of 7 left. Who knows, perhaps it is a lucky pack?!

Let me know if you'd like them, will check back in at some point tomorrow - as you've probably gathered, I'm a fairly erratic MN poster!

I am so glad for you that you have good family and friends!! I dont have any family in the area but do have some friends support is invaluable!! That is so funny what your consultant said!! He sounds really good. Mine is good too. I had a nightmare pregnancy with my DS and the consultant is handling everything this time around himself - he reckons my DS was a twin and I lost one early on. BUT that is not the important thing right now the important thing is we both have lovely babies and you have another on the way and I am TTC!

I am not using OPKs just because I cant afford them so I am doing it all in my head if you know what I mean. But if you dont want them I would be happy to have them, I LOVE the idea that they might be a lucky pack!!! That gives me hope! Can I pay you though its not fair for you to just give them away. Really dont mind! Email me at:

Oh and I spend WAY too much time on MN!
