...this may be a stupid question, DS1 is 6.8, DS2 is 2.5 I'm thinking about baby number 3, I don't know how long it took with DS1 as it was unplanned...I was told that I could not have children, pg with DS2 must have been almost immediately. Because of the big age gaps, I'm now 30 (thinking of trying in February next year) do you think it should be easy or hard to get pg? I really want to get pg in Februarygrin

Anyone else got similar age gaps and around 30?

It's impossible to predict how long it will take you to become pregnant, but if you've become pregnant twice before with no problems then that's a good sign. Why did they tell you you couldn't have children?

I have PCOS and I was told that I had severe endemetriosis, I had some problems when I was about 18 and GP said that until the time came when I wanted children it wasn't worth looking into it?? I had very very heavy bleeds for up to two/three months at a time, it was the GP that told me that it would be unlikely that I would have them, during my visits when I was pg with DS1 they were horrified at the 'quality' of advice I had been given, our family GP was very old and not very friendly, they have been really good since and I don't have endemetriosis, just PCOS, but luckily no problems getting pg.

I really want to get pg in February (I know the chances are minimal, just lots of baby making!!)

Also, if I want to get PG in February, when should I stop taking the pill, no idea how long it takes to get out of your system?

yes that's awful advice from your GP when you were 18.

My only question is, why wait until february?smile

You should stop taking the pill one or two months beforehand I think; but not everybody bothers waiting.

Hi lulabelle I have PCOS, been off the pill for 9 months, still no pregnancy. It can take days, weeks, or many many months for your periods to return to normal. I've had three periods since coming off the pill 9 months ago. I also had a plan to get pregnant by May this year (now) so I can have the baby and lose the weight by Aug 09 for my wedding. But I'm still waiting. Please dont assume you'll get preg by Feb, just come off the pill now, it'll save a lot of heart ache. Go straight to your GP and tell him/her you are TTC and he/she will refer you to the sub-fertility clinic. Please dont assume you will fall preg easily like your first two, you were very very lucky!
Hopefully I'll be completely wrong and sorry to be so negative but I thought I'd better warn you so you dont get your hopes up too much
HTH smile

Hi fruitynnutty, do you have any DC's already? Funny you should say about the wedding...I found out I was pg with DS2 a week before I flew out to Cyprus for my wedding!! That was because I was convinced it would take ages and I started early!! Suppose there is no way of knowing its just a case of seeing what happens, I think I will come off soon and see, thing is without the pill there is no AF, so would have to do all the ov charting and temping again!!

I have one lovely and very cheeky DS. he's 2 and a half. I fell preg with him after being off the pill for three years. I just assumed I couldnt get preg as my cycles were almost none existant - I didnt know I had PCOS at the time. He was a very pleasant surprise grin

yes, see this is what mine are like but I'm thinking as I don't know how long it took with DS1, and know it was almost instant with DS2, I can't gage DC3!!
