Thought I would start a new thread for us Temp Buddies to add a link to our charts... The old one was becoming as difficult as searching through conversations to find certain charts

Ready's FF Chart

Hi Ready! How do I go about inserting a link to my FF chart here? Please tell me it's easy smile
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Ready on Mon 04-Feb-08 18:15:37

Log into your FF page, on the left hand side there is a menu section, place your mouse cursor on the option called "sharing".

This gives a drop down box of more options. Select "home page setup".

At the top it gives you a http address... eg.
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/18e93f

Copy that address and then paste it in your message

For posting links... follow the instructions at the bottom of the page underneath the smileys

Hope all that made sense?

Hi Fruity. I had a quick look but I have to confess that I know very little about long cycles/charts or PCOS charts. All I can say is that a temperature drop is the best indicator that AF is on the way. Of course, every woman is different - for example, I don't get my temperature drop until CD1 and I've usually had a few days of spotting by then. Other women get a sudden drop the day before and others experience a gradual decline in temperature. All I can say is that I can't see a temperature drop on your chart yet. I'm sorry that I can't be any more helpful or that this probably isn't what you want to hear. Fingers crossed that your cycle becomes clearer very soon. Is it usual for you to have cycles this long? Has your GP given you any advice? Sorry if I'm being nosy - just tell me to push off if you'd rather not say!!

hi i thought i would post my chart here to see if you wise ladies could give me some advice on what the bleeding hell is going on with my cyclehmmei's chart
it appears that im 18DPO, my temps are still in the high range for me (my lower range is due to an underactive thyroid) no sign of AF and millions of BFNshmm i am so confused as i would have expected AF by now and i am 3 days overdue compared to my previous cycles and nothing!!angry can anyone help??
xx ei xx
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By sarah76 on Mon 07-Apr-08 15:40:31
Ei, Fertility Friend usually tells you to wait to test if it doesn't have much info on your luteal phase from past cycles, so I think that's why it's saying you're not due to test till tomorrow. Given that your AF is overdue and ovulation date is pretty clear, I'd say chances are good for you to be PG, but I think it's a fairly common experience to get a late BFP. What kind of tests are you using, and are you using FMU?

The other possibility is: Looks like you may have taken your temp at different times, which can affect FF's ability to tell when you O'd. It may be that you O'd later than FF is currently saying, and you're not as overdue as you think. What time were those temps on CD 13, 14, & 15? You may have O'd as late as CD17, but it's hard to say because there aren't temps for CD16 and 17.

hi sarahsmile thanx for your replysmile
my times that i have temped only vary by about 30-45 mins so i dont know whether that would make a huge amount of difference or notsmile there are no temps for CD16/17 as i was ill and had a fever for those two days and it affected the chart a huge amount with them on there so i discarded themsmile i am pretty sure that i oved around CD13 as i had EWCM up until CD13 and then it changed to my usual post-ov milky cmblush (sorry TMI from a newbie alertsmile) and i have this every cycle but it is usually later around cd15/16 that i guessed i was ovulating and my cycles are pretty regular at 28 days for the past 3 cycles so i am rather confused as to what is happening with my body ATMsmile

Hi EI

The difficulty with your chart is that there are only 6/18 reliable temps post O. I think there could be 3 possible explanations for your chart.

1. you are pg and possibly need to go to the GP's to have bloods done to confirm this Some people just don't get the +ve urine test.

2. You didn't O on cd 12/13, this is a possibility because of the temps which are discarded (the ones that are white circles). I assume these are temps where you took them at a slightly different time. If your body was becoming sick or stressed it may have been gearing up for O but not actually released the egg. That doesn't really explain why you would have temps above your coverline for the rest of the month. Again the lack of definite temps makes this difficult to decipher.

3. Your body may have put off O for the month after your illness and be trying to O later in the month hence the negative tests, longer cycle and the continuation of CM, although I note you say this is normal for you.

Could you go have a play with ff and adjust the temps a la Toni Weschler and see what happens.
I think if you took it 1 hour early you add on 0.5 degree and if it was 1 hour later then take off 0.5. See what happens. Then there won't be any disgarded temps and you never know all may be revealed grin

Good luck and post us the amended chart if you decide to do that.

Fertility Friend also has a temperature corrector function (but it may be only if you're paying?). It's on the side menu under data, last item on the pop-out list. 35 to 40 minutes can make a difference in temp. Ideally you want to be taking it exactly the same time every day. I found that making my time quite early was best, then on weekends just go back to sleep. . .and sometimes during the week too blush

Hmmm...tink I can't tell from your chart whether or not you've ovulated. There's no clear and sustained thermal shift as your temps have been falling the past few days. You need to have one temp that's about .2 degrees higher than the previous six and then at least three high temps after that for FF to confirm that you've ovulated. Hope that helps.

PrePg, how are you taking your temp? Orally can sometimes get erratic temps, as if you sleep with your mouth open one day, and not the next, it can affect the temp. Warm the thermometer first before pressing the button - you can never get a reading hotter than you actually are, but if the therm is too cold it can show a lower temp.

Tink - I don't think it looks as though you've ovulated, which probably explains why FF hasn't said so either.

Just so you know, once your chart is in this thread you don't need to keep reposting it

If you scroll down, you can see I put the link to your chart in with the other charts, so that we can use this thread to quickly chart spot for each other (ie. be nosy) grin

You can ask away on the Temp Buddies thread and then we can dip into here and easily take a look at your chart. Hope this helps and sorry it doesn't look as though you've ovulated yet. As your last cycle was so long perhaps your body is still getting itself back to normal?

Thanks Ready I do take my temp orally - I'll try the warming up a bit, but don't you think it's weird that it's such a perfectly even sawtooth? Same amount up as down for about 6 days straight?? hmm The other thing I've thought it might be down to is that I tend to alternate cardio exercise with weight lifting and thought my body temp might be slightly elevated on the days after I do cardio?

It is entirely possible that activity can affect your temp. I would have thought

I've updated the charts list because searching for them was doing my head. It won't allow them all on the one post so here is everyone else
Can everyone press the "watch thread", then it doesn't need to be bumped as often cos it'll be in there for us to view.
Good Luck!

Oh Bother! I have just started temping, and I'm on my first cycle of Clomid. My chart reveals that I ov'ed on CD9, and Boyf and I didn't even look at each other until CD12 (too busy), so we have completely missed the boat this month. It was only today that my chart revealed I Ov'ed last Thursday!

I suppose next month we are going to haft to ensure we are in the same room with each other for a lot longer, as soon as I come off my period!

Up date to last message on 28th April - I have continued charting, and fertility friend have now re-evaltuated the chart and said I ov'ed on CD18, which would fit with my short luteal phase theory (my cycle only lasts 26days).

My chart looks quite bonkers compared to others I have seen... any comments would be welcomed...MY CHART

Fruity that chart is looking fab, hurray for not having to wait another 2 months eh? grin

No I'm not testing, I don't know what's going on. Tomorrow's temp may reveal all. Still no period though.

If I didn't have such a clear O then I might think that I was just missing a cycle.
