Hi smile

Just wanted to share my success story. My little clomid baby just turned 4! I was prescribed clomid because of PCOS and it worked on the 3rd month.

I conceived number two (now 6mths) without clomid. Found out I was pregnant when I went for the scan to check how my PCOS was before they put me back on it. Very unexpected grin

I hope it works for you!

Good luck & Happy New Year x

Hiya

So nice to read success stories...

Been TTC for 10 months - no joy. My GP suspects I have PCOS, but cannot confirm yet. Sooooo frustrating!!!

I have had day 1-5 bloods ( testosterone ) and day 21 bloods ( general hormoe/thyroid ) and now I have to go on for an ultrasound next week.

Why does it take so long....

Sambrads...you are so lucky that you have been perscribed clomid straight away. It has been almost 3 months for me now of taking blood tests and waiting for results. And then more of a wait for the ultrascan.

Hey LOMOND....did you have to go through all this before you were perscribed the first time?

I am getting anxious now as time just seems to be ticking away while I have to go through all these tests...

Hi

I remember freaking out when I first took clomid because I'd read all the potential side-effects... it took an online friend to talk me down and stop me putting my finger down my throat

it was just panic though .. I had no side-effects at all

well apart from conceiving first cycle of course (I took it for a short luteal phase)
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By DungunGirl on Thu 03-Jan-08 13:38:53
Twiglett

I suspect I have a short luteal phase...my BBT charts suggest an average of 10 days.

What did you have to do to get your GP to perscribe?

I mentioned short luteal phase to my GP and she just glossed over it and has instead sent me for all sorts of blood tests and I have an ultrasound scan on Tuesday!

I thought a specialist hd to prescribe clomid. Not a GP.

It worked for me on 3rd cycle (well second really, but I had a chemical pregnancy on that occasion). However, it changed my ovulation time, so first cycle I was trying at the wrong time without knowing.

I had horrid side effects though...

I have been TTC for about 18 months, after many trips to the doctor with advise of "just relax it will happen when you at least expect it" I decided to contact a specalist who did a lap and it was discovered that I had cysts on my ovaries and endometreosis, which she removed (before the op I only had a 2% chance of falling as my tubes were blocked). I am now in my second month of clomid as I wasn't successful on the 1st attempt. Anyway I just wanted to share my story and I will keep you updated! Side effects I have got are blurred vision and feeling a bit down.
So nice to finally find a site with success stories!!!

Hi dungirl .. I think 10 days is ok .. it's under 10 days that you need to do something .. mine were running at around 8 days

you can try high dosage (100 - 200mg) B6 vitamin supplement .. (need to ask for it specifically) .. it takes a while to build up .. but it can't hurt

there are other natural supplements too if you're interested

hi lomond forgot to ask did you feel any different after taking clomid ?

i think i should be feeling my ovaries working flat out!!!

i no i am being silly any advice????
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By Bonnie123 on Thu 03-Jan-08 16:59:32
Hi Sambrads On my first course I was monitored on day 10 and they detected folicles (eggs) and then I went back 2 days later for another scan and it was confirmed that I had ovulated. I didn't really start to feel any different until I had ovulated and then I got a bit down and got hot flushes!! I don't think you can feel your ovaries working flat out so don't worry!! I know exactly what you mean about being the unluckiest person in the world because I feel exactly the same. It does help chatting on this site as we're all in the same position aren't we. Hope this helps

Hi Dungungirl, yes I did go through all the blood tests first, next came the appointment with the consultant for an ultrasound scan and I was prescribed the clomid straight away. It was just a case of waiting for my next period to start the course. So hopefully it won't be long now.

I know how you feel about all the waiting around. It is so frustrating but you will get there and it is well worth the wait.

Good luck x

Good luck to you all, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sambrads I never really got any bad side effects. A few mood swings (according to DP!) and some headaches but nothing too bad.

lol my ovaries didn't feel any different and the only advice I can give is chain your dh/dp to the bed grin

I was also monitored on my first month (poss 2 I can't remember blush ) they detected folicles and took their length. It looked promising so obviously I was disappointed that it didn't work straight away.

The waiting is horrible, every month I would convince myself that this was it. When it finally happened I took 5 pregnancy tests. The nurses were laughing at me at the EPU. Said I was wasting my money, I just didn't believe it was finally happening to me!

Baby dust to you all xxx

Hi Ladies!!!

Had my ultrasound scan this morning and the radiographer said that my scan showed not 100% PCOS as my ovaries are bumpy but not as bumpy as he would expect to confirm PCOS.

So, my blood tests showed hormone imbalance and my ultrasound doesn't really confirm anything! GREAT!

I just want to get on with it !!!!!!! Now I am going to have to go through more tests and more waiting....oh no....

Did anyone have the same experience before being perscribed clomid?

Hi DungunGirl,

Sorry you didn't get any answers today. Hope they find out what it is soon and you get some answers.

I never had any problems getting it, I think my PCOS was quite bad so they didn't hesitate in prescribing it, I was a bit shocked really as I thought I would have more waiting. Once they actually find out what is wrong (if anything) things should move pretty quickly onto the next step.

Thanks all.

I know that they need to have a cause to perscribe.

However, impatience makes one crazy!

I had a friend who had been trying for a year, and her GP just gave her clomid to 'kick start' things without even doing any tests!

And guess what!

She got pregnant after her first cycle!

so jealous.....

Hi sambrads, I think I posted to you on another thread I started about clomid. I cant beleive how simillar our stories are. Like you my period started 23.12.07, And I took my first round of clomid days 5-9 100mg. I had my bloods taken 11th of this month to see if it made me ovulate (still waiting for results) I to will be doing the dreaded test round about the 23rd also. Heres me saying your not alone, and I hope we are both lucky enough to catch 1st time. I heard a lot of good stuff on mumsnet about clomid so lets both stay positive keep us posted smile

Was wondering how did they decide that your 21 day bloods showed no ovulation?

I had high testosterone and low progesterone on my 21 day bloods but they just sent me off for more tests and a scan!

Hi everyone.

I have been trying to conceive for over a year now. My husband had been previously married and already has 3 older children. He had a vasectomy reversal in Nov 2006 and thank goodness it worked but with 66% of the antibodies (so at least there is 33% of good ones). I was diagnosed in May 2006 with a severe case of Endometriosis and have since then had 2 operations to remove scaring etc.. Have finally been prescribed Clomid and just before I was due to take first course, I was waiting for my period and was god smacked to have a positive pregnancy test, unfortunately really bad and referred to early pregnancy clinic at hospital it transcribed I was in the process of and early miscarriage. Waited on month and started the Clomid, but to no avail the 1st month. 14 days ago I started my 2nd course and am now acting like a bunny !!! I just hate all the waiting. I can't be patient but I understand that I have to be. Life stinks sometimes.

p.s. my consultant told me to take the Clomid from day 2 of cycle because apparently some people are not sure when day 1 actually is.

p.p.s Don't let anyone dismiss your anxiety about trying to conceive, you always find it is people who have children that do that.

primrose

Do you know what your progesterone level was? What day of your cycle did they test?

I am going to insist that they tell me how low was low as they haven't picked up on progesterone at all!!!!!!

Also, does low progesterone create these side effects:
PMS
Migraines and headaches
bloating
Bad mid-cycle cramping
Outbreaks of Spots/acne (mainly on chin)

I have been experiencing these symptoms for the last 6 months and I never had them before.

My doctors instructions was to take 100mg days 5-9, im not sure why. It has worked because the blood test I had on the 11th showed I ovulated, I dont feel much different, my mood swings are pretty bad, and I have noticed a lot of cervical discharge (thick and creamy)Hope thats not 2 much info guys. And yep still bed hopping smile

Dungungirl
Hi dungungirl. My levels were 94 which means I ovulated this was taken on day 21 of my cycle. Im not sure if low progesterone causes those sideeffects. When my progesterone was low last month and I did not ovulate I did not experience anything different. If the blood test didnt show I was not ovulating I wouldnt of known. My periods are regular 28 day cycle.

SAMBRADS

Im sorry to here that sad. I no how frustrating it can be.

My doctor started me of on a 100mg straight away which didnt cause me any harm.

They do say to stay on the sane dose for at least 2 cycles before increasing it witch again is a pain. Are still going to take in on the same cycle days?.

I no you should listen to your doctor, and I hate to go against what she says but if I was in your shoes I would incrseae it.

I am under the care of a fertility speacialist, she did not want me to take clomid at all, instead she wanted to run a few more taest. So I went to my doctor who perscribed me clomid straight away, When I went back to the fertility speacialist for my 21 day blood test, she was not happy with the fact I took clomid as she said being under the care of both teams interfears with investigations.

I understang that but I followed my heart, and now look im ovulating. Let me komw what happens next at least we have each other smile

Ive got to go in for surgery to check that my tubes are'nt blocked on 12 march. Im a bit nervous about thathmm....praying I will conceive by then

Hi sambrads.

The fertility doc wanted me to take 3 blood test before any treatment to see what my body is doing.

When the first blood test showed I did not ovulate I did not want to wait another 2 cycles and not try anything.I dont think they understand how much trying to conceive effects us.

Luckly my doctor understood and perscibed clomid.

I have heard people taking clomid on day 1, and get pregnant. Have you checked out the clomid sucsses stories please thread? Quiet a few positive stories on there. I wish you luck to fingers crossed for next month smile

Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By Tigerschick on Wed 16-Jan-08 19:10:41
Personally I wouldn't up your dose yourself. As I said on the other thread, I know someone who didn't ov the first month but did the second with no increase of dose.
Also, the reason they don't want to give us a large dose to start with is that it can over stimulate your ovaries. This could lead to 6, 7, 8 or more eggs being released and, possibly, fertilised. Not something I'd want to risk.
It is, of course, up to you. smile
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By primrose88 on Wed 16-Jan-08 23:52:17

Personaly I would because im a risk taker
But I do think tigerschick makes a sensible point.

As you no my doc started me off on 100mg and I did ovulate progesterone raised to 94.

I dont want to tell you what to do but
If your really concerned about increasing it, contact your doc and tell her what you think, see if she can offer any advise.

On the clomid information leaflet, i think it says the dose can be increased after a cycle or two (check it out)

Let us no what you decide, but dont do anything your not sure of good luck smile

Hi All,

My consultant who I think is fantastic (in the way that he actually listens), said from day 2-5 for Clomid because the first day can be a bit hit and miss and to ensure that the bleeding had actually started. I have started off on 50mg for first 3 months, with day 21 P level blood test (this Friday coming up). IF it shows I haven't ovulated then to move up to 100mg for last 3 months. If that doesn't work, I'm back in for more surgery to clear endo from around my bowel.

NEWS today: My sister has just telephoned me to let me know she is 10 1/2 weeks pregnant. Tried once and wallah... BLIMEY that through me. How do you sound pleased for your only sister whilst your heart falls through the floor, your eyes flood and your throat becomes choked? Didn't even know she was 'trying'.

I no how you feel my brother announced his girfriend is 12 weeks pregnant last month. Plus they just had a baby in april 07.

The birth of there first broke my heart. I couldnt even look at my nephew because I want this so much.

I gave him my blessings but deep down i just wanna break down sad. Anyway we just have to beleive our day will come smile

How long have you been trying? I havent spoke to you before whats your story on ttc?(if you dont mind)

Me well i am not ovulating on my own, currently taking clomid 100mg with p test on day 21. My last progesterone level 94 so clomid did help me ovulate this month. Doubt in pregnant though as my usual period symptoms are playing away sad

Hi Primrose88

My story is above posted 14th Jan. Have been ttc for erm... 14 months. I'm on 2nd course of clomid at 50mg and day 21 P test.

Had a miscarriage at 5 weeks before starting the clomid which firstly amazed me that everything worked without the help.

There's something about it being my sister. I just feel dumb. I'm jealous of everyont that is pregnant or has had children, because at the moment i can't see anything is going to work.

What about you?

Hi pinkali37

Every where I go I SEE PREGNANT PEOPLE envy!!! And i cant help but stare blush!!!!!!!!!!!.

I do feel like being pregnant is never going to happen. I thought when I found out I ovulated this month I might be in luck. I cheated today and took a preg test (3 days early) and got a not pregnant!! I new it would say that but I still wasted my money on buying 1 angry.

Im going to get my tubes checked 12 march to make sure all is ok, im worried about that, scared what they might findhmm. Have you had that done before?

Im off to the docs tomo to get another perscription for clomid, as he only gave me 1 month supply.
I wanna talk to him about taking it earlier in my cycle aswell maybe day 2(this month took it days 5-9).

I just wish I could get being preg out my mind. They say it happens when your not trying. Its amazing how it takes over your life (well it has mine).

Sorry to hear about your mc at least you no you can conceive and its most likely you can again smile. I had a loss in march 07 conceived naturally within a month of coming off the pill, been trying since then.

HI guys

Have been away form mumsnet for a few days and wow....I really feel for you all. it is so nice to have people who are going through the same hard time emotionally as you are.

Husbands /partners just don;t quite understand either. My DH becomes angry which makes things worse. He deals with dissappointment in anger.

Just went to see my doc again today for follow up on overall situation. I have been reffered to the fertility clinic at the hospital now.

Found out my progesterone levels were SUPER low on my day 21 bloods. Seems level for ovulation is 31 and my reading was 9 !!!!!

My GP said he cannot perscribe clomid but he is pretty sure that the clinic will perscribe it to me once I see them.

That could be another 2 months!!!! ARRRGHHHH!!

And I have had the same situation with finding out about pregnancies. In my little group of friends, 3 have either had or are about to have a baby, and I just found out another is due in June.

MY heart sank....

I know my Dh will find out this weekend as we are all meeting up and I am dreading the outcome. He will come home and go into full blown blame. He will blame me for wanting to wait a few months longer in the beginning to start trying. He always does! And then he will go on to blame my weight for why we aren't pregnant.

I am really getting stressed out by the whole situation.

I want clomid now to shut my DH up more than anything else!!!!!!

Hi Duncangirl (again - from another thread)...

Honestly you need to keep asking your doctor for clomid. Apparently a lot of them don't like prescribing it becuase it is very expensive but hey most of us pay NI so what the hell and who the hell do they think they are telling us what we can and can not have.

I had my day 21 (actually day 20 cos 21 tomorrow, a saturday) blood test today so fingers crossed for results.

I also stare at prams, pregnant people etc.. My DH laughs at me and tells me when i've been staring for too long. lol.

It completely takes over your life (we all understand that). I have given up work to work for my husband so that I can have bad days or rush off to the docs for blood tests wihtout feeling guilty.

What annoys me most is that people who do it once and get pg, just don't realise what we all go through. I love this site for reading other peoples thoughts, feelings, symptoms and anger over ttc. It is lovely that we are all not alone.

I keep thinking god is getting me back for being happy in other ways. Stupid but I can't help it.

He did advise me to becareful with it as it can realease up to 10 eggs or more. He is convinced i am not timing sex properly. And recommends I use a predictor test. (I will buy one).

Anyway again i will be taking 100mg. I asked him about taking it earlier in my cycle. And he beleives It will not make a difference, and its all about timing sex. He said give it a go either take it on day 2/3.

Dungungirl

Your doc has the power to perscibe you clomid. In my case it was the oposite. The fertility clinic I was reffered to refused to give me clomid(hmm) so my doc did. I ovulated on it (pro levels 94)

Clomid is actualy the cheapest fertility drug (research on the net tells you that). I pay for my clomid perscription (because I work)
and it only cost £6.25 (thats how cheap) a pregnancy test cost more!!!,(smile) so i doubt if cost is the issue.

I no how you feel waiting for your refferal. I got reffered in sept last year and didnt get seen till the end of nov. They usualy run 3 tests on you
1. they check your pro levels (for 3 cycles without drugs (no clomid thats why i went to my docs)

2. A sperm count of your partner

3. A Lap to check your tubes are not blocked
(at least thats whats happening with me).

I wish you luck and hope you get something to help soon (smile).

Sorry your partner dont understand, at least you have us (smile)

I think it's stupid and unfair how Dr's take it upon themselves to decide whether or not to prescribe it. I was told that it was an expensive drug but obviously not for our prescription.

Primrose88 - are you doing it from day 12 to approx 16? My doc said that it is easier to get pg if you hev intercourse before ovulation because of course sperm lasts longer than the eggs. It is all so confusing. Don't you just hate it when someone does it once and gets og. NOT FAIR.

Timing of intercourse can actually do more harm than good. If rigourous timing of intercourse is done it can make the man in particular feel used. Two or three times a week throughout your cycle is fine. Think therefore your GP has given you duff information, that along with his advice to use a predictor test.

If periods are irregular this is often due to hormonal imbalances. OPK's are of no benefit whatsoever in such circumstances.

A HSG (tubal x-ray) will actually do the job that the lap does and apart from anything else its far less invasive a procedure than this keyhole surgery. Its also far quicker and the HSG is done whilst you are awake.

Clomid is usually taken between days 2 to 6 of a cycle.

I agree, I have intercourse at least 3 times a week. Although my doc is right I should be doing it more.

I think im lucky to have such a understanding doc. Soon as my results came back I didnt ovulate he perscribed clomid straight away.

It is'nt fair how people that dont want babies get babies. and people like us are here.

At least when our day comes (cause it will). Our babies will be so appreciated... more every day, due to this fight to get them (smile)

Ladies can I get Amen to that!!! LOL

Amen !!!

That is what my DH and i keep saying. Just think how loved our child will be and how longed after it was. I pray our day does come.

Too much SX (I just made my own up there lol), isn't good either. My consultant said to abstain from day 10 to 12 so the little devils are desperate to find that egg(s).

I think it is important to not make the man feel like a sx object. I did try last month having it every night so that DH didn't feel used (that didn't work either because when it actually came to ovulation time I WAS TOO TIRED).. LOL

A friend of mine was told to do what they call the blanket, have SX every other night. Just remember one thing though, it is better for a baby to come from a loving relationship and the act of making love rather than sex for a reason (sounds cliche but I truely believe it, but am worried now that I soundlike a chat show host.. SORRY)

I dont think my doc has given me duff information. His advising me that there is no point taking clomid if i have intercourse at the wrong time, by doing that all the clomid in the world will not make me conceive.

I no now clomid is helping me ovulate. Therfore the advise of a ovulation kit makes sense. I no ovulation kits can be bias, and very miss leading in a lot of cases, Even though your body produces the LH surge (which is what the kit detects)
doesnt mean you are ovulating.

I no now I am ovulating therfore using a kit in my case can be fairly accurate.

I doubt my partner (although i no some can) will feel used we dont have sex just to make babies, Its not a case on watching the clock then pouncing on him (smile).

I agree that if you're not doing it at the right time then Clomid won't help. Clomid merely helps or stimulates your ovaries to release the eggs and more than one.

My problem at the start was that I used to give my husband the wink only when it was time, and then the next night and so on. I think he did start to feel like a sx object, but i am much better now.

AIN'T LIFE GREAT.... hmm
Contact the poster See this person's profile Contact mumsnet about this post By AttilaTheMeerkat on Fri 18-Jan-08 14:38:08
Hi Primrose

There has been much evidence to suggest that any rigourous timing of intercourse can do more harm than good. Ovulation anyway is not an exact science and a person can ovulate earlier, later _or not at all_ in ANY given cycle. This is why two or three times a week throughout your cycle is often sited.

Clomid encourages the ovaries to work harder by increasing production of LH (this is why you should also be monitored whilst on it); the kit can read that level made by the clomid. Please be mindful of this when using the OPK. If you get multiple positive OPK results I'd refrain from using the OPK in any event.

I wish you the very best of luck with the clomid usage. I sincerely hope it will be successful.

Was going to end by asking whether you actually have a diagnosis?.

Thank you

Due to blood tests, I am not ovulating every month.

I have conceived before,(naturaly and quickly)

my periods are regular like clock work, if it was'nt due to the fact I was trying to conceive, I would never no I was'nt ovulating all the time (even though it is normal for that to happen) Because like I said my body gives off no signals smile.Periods normal flow the whole 9 yards

I have a lap scheduled on 12 march to check tubes are ok!

Was wondering if your currently having in problems in this department smile

Wow! It is great to have a bunch of such supportive ladies on here!

I think my GP is scared of perscribing as his gut tells him that it is the right next step but he is a little concerned of PCOS as my right ovary is showing some symptoms PLUS he thinks I still need to have another blood test.

My FSH and LH levels weren't checked on the first 21 day blood test taken, so he has calculated that due to my cycles being an average of 32 days that I should have my test on day 25 rather than 21. He has noted that progesterone, FSH and LH levels need to be checked.

He has also told me to get DH to get sperm checked while we wait for an appointmet to come through to go to the subfertility clinic. But he says that DH needs to abstain from sex for at least 3 days before providing sample!!! We are trying to get pregnant!!! Can afford 3 days with no TTC! Ah well..I guess he will have to do the sample from after day 25 and hope that we have covered the crucial days!

With everyone who is taking CLomid already...how often then do you have to go in to check that you have ovulated? I presume this is done by ultrasond?

My friend who lives in the far east was put on clomid as soon as she bypassed the 1 year point, without any tests at all!!! After 2 cycles she was pregnant! But she did have to get scanned...she didn't get a scan for the first cycle and TOTALLY missed ovulation it seems.

I guess I have a whole load to learn in the coming months!

At least I have you ladies to share the experience with! and ask questions!

Have a great weekend.

Hi Dungungirl

I take clomid (as you no). I get my bloods done monthly at the hospital for progesterone (day 20/21). My cycles are text book normal (as they say) 28 days.

I understand your docs concerns, clomid can have serious side effects.

I wish you the best of luck, keep us posted smile

Come on CLOMID..... it has to work for us all !!!!!

Can i say something really stupid? I'll say it anyway, I can't actually tell when I'm ovulating. Some days I think "oh yes this is it" but other months I haven't a clue.

Duncangirl I have the 20/21 blood test to see if i've ovulated.

I'm, confused that if they don't know when i've ovulated or how long my cycle is/or going to be, how on earth can the blood test show up the correct info????????

AF due 3rd Feb.... x

Hi sambrads

That sounds like a safe bet. I was at the hospital today (just working), and I didnt have much patients so I deceided to look clomid up in the BNF book (which is a book of drugs) you can google it set yourself a account and check it out the website.

In there it tells you all the side effects, and also reccomends you take clomid on day 2.

AF came today, sad I new I wasnt preg but untill AF actualy starts you still have a little hope hmm.

I just started on a new ward today.. 2 pregnant staff nurses on their, discussing baby names and all that baby stuff sad!.. Its so hard..

Im begining to wonder are my tubes blocked???hmm, HAS ANYONE HAD A BLOCKED TUBE INFO APPRECIATED grinIm going to start a thread on that I think hmm

PINKALI37

Do you monitor your body temp to detect ovulation,? I check my cervix position, and mucus, to detect my fertile phase there is a good book called fertility awareness by Zita West (I Think her name is), which does provide you with advice on how to detect ovulation Good luck smile

Primrose - Oops sorry, i forgot to finish my message off.

I started taking temperature and marking it on chart but that go stupid because i'd jumo out of bed needing a wee and then think shit I should have taken my temp. It's a very fine art to master I understand. I know that when we're ovulating we are supposed to (as my doc put it) have an egg white mucus (SORRY TMI).. lol But i can never tell when it is. One day I think "ooh there it is", the next day i think "nope it's definitely today"... and so on.

The cervix thingy, what's that?

xxxx

Hi guys thanks for all your support
((((((((hugs smile))))))) to you all... When we have our babies (it will happen) we should all go on a mother baby picnic together LOL (try an keep the spirits up)

PINKALI37

What you do is use your middle finger (as its the longest), insert it in and you feel for your cervix, when you are infertile your cervix will be low and closed in your vagina and feel like the tip of your nose.

When your are fertile, you cervix will rise and feel soft kindda like your bottom lip, also you will begin to feel wet, as your cervicl mucus increases. This is just a brief explanation, but if you google cervic position loads of info comes up.

Also sometimes during your fertile phase you may not feel your cervix at all, because it has become so soft that it blends in with the vagina wall. I find this method a lot easier to get my head round than doing my tempreture

Its good to start checking your cervic position as soon as AF finishes at the same time every day (i do it just before going in the bath at night. And dont foreget to monitor it.

Good luck smile

Just to say I took Clomid for about 5 months last year and recently found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant so it worked for me. I didn't appear to be ovulating at all so it clearly worked. I'm ancient though, and had a mc a few years ago so I'm certainly not counting this chicken til it's hatched but I'm happy for the hope of it happening.

It is also a light flow and begining to stop already (its only wednesday), basicly AF is kindda like how it goes at the end of the cycle.

Has anyone noticed changes like this whilst on clomid

It's FRIDAY!!! Thank goodness.

I think the idea of a clomid baby picnic is wonderful! Hahaha...lets just picture that day in our minds....maybe it will help !!!

Well....have my appointment at fertility clinic....4th of Feb.

I was SHOCKED how soon they gave me an appointment! Thumbs up for my local hospital. I was expecting to have to wait 2 months at least! So I am really pleased! smile

I had another blood test today....day 24, as I have a average 32 day cycle. Hope this one will provide the last bit of information that the clinic will need on the 4th!

Out of interest, what did the clinic do with you on you first appointment with a fertility doctor?
Contact the poster Contact mumsnet about this post By DungunGirl on Fri 25-Jan-08 13:31:44
Pinkali....

I think you will have to repeat that blood test.

My bloods were taken on day 21 and I got a result of 9.4
(which is low too! )

However my cycles are 32 days and I have had to do the blood test again today - day 25 of your cycle.

So if you have a 33 day cycle, you should have a 26 day blood test not 21.

I have had this now confirmed by 2 GPs. So go back to your doc and ask for the blood test to be done later! I think that result is VERY misleading.

Good Luck!!!
