had a sweep at 11 this morning and had a very dark brown show at about 3 ish and still bleeding a bit now, baby is engaged 3/5 (at last!) and mw gave me a sheet with my 'bishops score' its 5, is this good?
dilation is 1-2 consistency is Medium length of cervix is 1-2 position of cervix is Middle station is -3
is there anyone out there that can tell me what this means or if you had a similar score and how long after your sweep you went into labour (if at all)?
when i was overdue with ds i had a sweep at about lunch time was 1 cm dilated and my cervix was not ready for labour, the midwife booked me in for induction, 12 hours later after an hour and a half labour i was holding ds
bishops score is a score out of 10 based on your cervix. the closer to 10 the better your chances. I was 8 when i had my sweep and had ds3 the next day
i had a sweep when i was 10 days overdue, had sweep at lunchtime, woke up at about 4am with contractions, dd born at 9 am, so good luck for tonight and tomorrow!
