The wire issue is just if the bra isn't fitted correctly, that's when it can cause discomfort and possibly push on milk glands. (second the not M&S fitting!) GO get some wire - it makes you look like you've lost half a stone too grin

I couldn't wait to get back into my u/w bras (E-cup, but FF when BF), but weirdly missed the soft cup bras when I eventually swapped back! (Even tho my boobs were nearly at my belly in them hmm).

I was in underwired by about 10 months and no problems. You can get underwired feeding bras, so not an issue in themselves. Get fitted properly (i.e. NOT M&S) and you should be fine

I've been bfing for 2 yrs now. I didn't think I'd be feeding this long and it looks like we'll be continuing for a while yet! I only invested in a couple of nursing bras and they're now in a terrible state grin

Does anyone know, is it important to keep wearing the wire-free type or could I go and get fitted for a proper bra now she's down to only a couple of feeds a day? I heard mention of the wire affecting the milk glands or something and that's why they should be avoided, but I'm not sure if it's true...

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
