The Quarry, Ilfracombe, North Devon

This was the best self-catering house I've been to. Perfect for a family get together with kids. It is beautiful, really stylish but also very kid friendly. There's an enclosed front terrace off the huge sitting room, a beautiful wooden wendy house, toys, loads of DVDs & SKY (useful if its raining!). All the usual kids plastic plates,cups etc. There were loads of us - all ages - & we fitted into the 7 bedrooms (& 4 bathrooms) very well. One of the best bits was the private beach at the end of the road, just a walk away. There's a tidal pool, kids play area, cafe, sun loungers to rent. Highly recommend this place. We even had a caterer in 3 nights to cook us food - bliss!
