100% perfect. This little bolthole was exactly what I was looking for. It is a granny flat in the garden of a large Georgian Bath town house. The website (gardenhousebath.co.uk) says it is 10 mins walk from town but we found it to be extremely close; nearer than it looks on the map. There is easy and ample parking, a luxury so close to the town centre. Caroline, the hostess, had fully stocked the flat for us; fresh orange juice, milk, yoghurt, cereals biscuits tea hot chocolate real coffee, quick coffee anything you could want. my picky requests for soya milk and yogs and funny teas seemed no trouble. Caroline bakes fresh bread every day for you. There is a hairdryer, washing machine with some powder put out (very sweet), hot water bottles, TV and freeview, ironing board and iron, shower gel and shampoo and moisturiser, oven hob and pans on request, board games etc etc, I could go on. and in my mind the most impressive thing was how absolutely spotless it was.

The actual flat has a bedroom with two lovely single beds, beautiful quality and two futons in the living area by the tv and small kitchen which my husband and i slept on - our daughters 2 and 5 had the bedroom!

Bath is a fantastic town and there is a lot to do there - there are endless brochures, pamphlets and maps in the flat for you.

if i had to say anything negative it would be that the decor isn't ultra modern or uber stylish but it is very cosy and comfy and again, immaculately clean. also Caroline has no cot or highchair, but you could bring your own - we fitted a large travel cot between the single beds.

This accommodation really is a find if you want more facilities than a B&B can offer but don't want to spend on a hotel. I absolutely loved being free to do our own thing in a home from home. I would love to go back very soon, and recommend this as a great place to stay for a fun family weekend.

Spent Saturday night in Bath on reunion with 3 girlfriends, we found a place on the visit Bath website called The Garden House, it was so lovely I told the woman I would come on here and review it for her. Basically it is a granny flat in the garden of one of the lovely old Bath houses, 10 minutes walk from the town centre. We paid £100 for the 4 of us. I think she normally rents to famillies as the beds are two single beds in a separate bedroom and then 2 futons in the lounge/kitchen area (comfy - I slept on one). There was milk and fresh orange in the fridge, 4 types of tea, coffee and biscuits when we arrived. The breakfast is continental ie fruit, cereal and yoghurt, but then she also bakes fresh bread and leaves it in a bag on the door handle for when you get up. Whole place was spotless and the woman running it very friendly. Obviously £25 each was a bargain for us, but I would go back with the family as well as the advantage of having an apartment rather than all piling into one room would make it well worth the money. Hope someone finds this useful!
