I have just booked to come stay at The Esplanade Hotel for half term again because of the fantastic time we have had the last couple of years, not only is the hotel fantastic for the children with activities, indoor, outdoor play areas and swimming pool but they manage to make it just as enjoyable for the adults with the option of listening into you room whilst downstairs in the evening enjoying the entertainment, and all this without mentioning the views....They are to die for!! I cant wait to go next year and i have a feeling it will only get better as it does every year.

We stayed here recently are were really impressed. We booked early and got a great deal on our room... The hotel was located right beside the beach and the area was a lot quieter than i had expected. The kids loved the outdoor 'pirate ship' and the indoor pool kept everyone happy when it rained.

We stayed bed and breakfast but had dinner on two evenings. The quality both nights was really good and whilst we were there we found out that if we had booked dinner for every evening we could have got a special deal on it, probably worth asking about this before booking.

We couldn't really fault the hotel. The kids had a go at surfing with the onsite surf school and there were lots of other kids there for them to get on with.

We visited here last year - initially a bit dubious about Newquay for families but the hotel is on the outskirts and just a short walk from Crantock beach. We had a lovely time and the children are now begging us to go back - Looks like we'll become regulars.

We recently stayed at The Esplanade Hotel with our two children, aged 9 and 4. The hotel is in a fantastic location and i can't fault the staff - they were so friendly and nothing was too much effort. The hotel itself was nice and clean and the accommodation was clean and comfortable - what i would expect from a 3*. The play areas and pool were great for the children and meant we could have time to relax ourselves.

I would defintitely recommend this hotel to other mumsnetters!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and the family accommodation was ideal for our group - and great value for money! Our room overlooked Fistral Beach and it was in the quiet side of Newquay.

There weren't any children's clubs but there were indoor and outdoor pools (and an indoor play area for little ones) for them to enjoy - although they spent most of the time on the Beach (which was only a few yards from the hotel!).

We visited the Zoo and Aquarium whilst we were there - I would recommend both!
