We stayed the night here with our son when he was 2 years old. The creche service meant that we could spend an hour in the spa on our own. Our son has special needs and hates to be left alone but the staff were excellent at calming him and distracting him while we got a little respite. The spa has an awesome hot tub outdoors which feels very luxurious. We had supper in the posh restaurant but would recommend eating in the posh pub as the food is just as nice and a quarter of the price. I had a maternity massage which was heavenly and DH had a full head to toe massage which was disturbingly intimate and to be avoided at all costs in future!

Comments from other mumsnetters:

Mumsnetters agree that "if you want to unwind, relax and enjoy yourselves with and without your children, you couldn't ask for a better place." The "staff, particularly in the kids' centre, were brilliant." There are "great children's meals and nothing is too much trouble" plus there's baby listening available in the evenings "so you can enjoy a superb meal." It is a "beautiful hotel" in "a lovely countryside setting" with "plenty to do both on site and off." It's pricier than some places but overall "utter bliss." "We met a lot of twin parents there which says it all really."

We went to a wedding here. Great staff, lovely spa attached, gorgeous gardens. Rather upmarket and not cheap. The Gumstool Inn is the attached pub and is fantastic. Very child friendly. We live about an hour away and often do as an extended family event as we know children are welcomed and we will be treated to great food in a lovely Cotswold setting. Croquet on the lawn anyone?
