We have just got back from Chill Chalet in Montchavin in La Plagne and I wanted to let everyone know about them because it's a hidden gem, and cheap too at £55 a night for catered accommodation and the baby came for free.
The set up is so relaxed and the food was filling and delicious. They didn't fix breakfast, or tea times but we were able to help ourselves whenever you are ready which was great for us with the children, and they did an early dinner for the children.
They also arranged for a nanny to come the chalet for the exact hours we wanted which was great and much cheaper than having to commit to 9 to 5 in a creche and she was really good.
The chalet host was great too, and in her 30s which I think made such a difference. I've stayed with Esprit and Skiworld in the past, and the hosts are always really young and a bit slapdash, and we didn't think the nannies were very good.
When we booked the gave us info about the other families staying the same week and seemed to make a great effort to put groups together who would get on, which I think is so important because we were worried about ending up sharing with a big group of adults who would make us feel awkward with the children.
So if you are looking for somewhere flexible and perfectly set up for families Chill Chalet is a very good option.
