My week at Snowfocus (Chalet La Sonnaille) was superb and hugely enjoyable. The owners seem to have covered all the bases and take so much of the hassle out of what can be a fiddly holiday. The chalet is beautifully located in a peaceful spot just outside the busier part of town. It is pretty, warm, clean and has a lovely feeling of cosiness. I was staying with relatives and friends and the chalet was very conducive to the great time we all had together - with its welcoming lounge and its elegant dining room. Upstairs is a good sized TV lounge which is a useful area for the kids to unwind. The teenage boys we went with seemed to love the set up.
The food was of a high standard and served by the excellent group of young chalet staff, who have clearly been well chosen and trained.
What really made our holiday so good was the forethought and organisation of the owners - everything was arranged - skis and boots, helmets, lift passes etc - so there was no trudging around to sort out all the paraphernalia that is needed for a ski holiday.
The guided skiing, including transport to the ski areas, was brilliant and they judged the ability of our group well so that the more able skiers and the less experienced each had the opportunity to enjoy the right level of skiing.
The Portes du Soleil ski pass isn't cheap at around 200 euros, but worth having if you want to make use of the huge ski area. My favourite day was when the sun came out at Chalet Neuf and we had one of those heavenly afternoons - skiing and eating at the restaurant on the slopes. High above Morgines was also wonderful after fresh snow had left the pistes with a fluffy layer of perfect snow.
The knowledge, experience and friendliness of the owners and the way they manage their seasonal staff, made our holiday pretty much perfect and I would recommend the package to anyone, especially groups looking for a holiday that allows you to have a laugh together while being so well looked after.

We've just come back from another fabulous holiday with Snowfocus. Once again the dedicated team put their all in to ensuring the group had the best holiday. We enjoyed worry free skiing on the best and quietest slopes while the kids were happy and busy. Amazingly as we were resting over tea and cake our 4 and 7 year olds flew in told us how much fun they were having and then disappeared to tea without a backwards glance. My only hesitation in writing a good review is that it will be tricky to book again next year.

It was with some trepidation that we decided to take our 5 and 7 year olds skiing for the first time last week. After considerable research we decided to follow the mumsnet stamp of approval and try out snowfocus.
Thanks to Sue and AT, and the team, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. The kids had a fantastic time, and were skiing by the end of the week. We had a fantastic time, and had some great days out on the slopes being guided by AT and Sue. Our only grumble is that we managed to gain weight thanks to the long luxurious meals (despite our array of allergies that were marvelously catered.)
Its the first time we've truly managed to relax on holiday post-kids. Not something I ever expected to say about a skiing holiday! In summary, a perfect holiday. We already have the diaries out to figure out when we can return.

We first visited Chalet La Sonnaille when our son was just three. We have been every year since, because we really believe you will not find a better set up anywhere. Childcare and adult-care are both excellent. My son was given such a gentle and enjoyable introduction to skiing, with wonderful activities back in the chalet for rest times. Now, aged nine, he is skiing all day and leaving some of us adults behind. AT ensures a great, flexible day's skiing no matter what the conditions. Chatel is such a family friendly resort, and Sue, AT and their fantastic, hand picked, team always give us a warm welcome. The fact that we meet other families that return year after year says it all.

Ist time I used Mumsnet recommendaton and expected great things. Perfect holiday for children, small ski shool groups, lots of attention and great family atmosphere. Let down by attention to detail and customer focus at times. Very comfortable rather than luxurious, timings a bit iffy some days and poor choice of routes for guiding. Food good . Location for lifts poor till new chair built and bus transfer every day. Really disappointing to be dropped at station @ end of holiday to make our own way back to Geneva (@ our cost) to save them bother of a 2nd transfer
