We've been twice in the summer and can't recommend it highly enough. The weather on both occasions hasn't been great but it didn't stop us having a great time. We didn't use the childcare although they were very friendly inviting our little one (2 first time and 3 next) to play any time they saw us.

One of the big bonuses for us was the Salzburgerland card - a pass which gets you into oodles of things free including many cable cars, summer toboggans, crazy golf, museums in Salzburg etc. You can help yourself to bikes - they have all kinds - our daughter jumped on a tag along and was hooked (so that cost us when we got home!). They provide hemlets too. There are some good cycle paths (but wouldn't recommend the ones that go uphill unless you are a good bit fitter than me!!!) The scenery is breathtaking and there are lots of great places around to see. Salzburg is fantastic too. The restaurants nearby are OK - food about average, lack of veg for all, many have bouncy castles etc for the children to play on, but they still allow smoking, lots of Austrians/Germans smoke, so that isn't ideal to say the least. However, accomodation is self catering and there are plenty of supermarkets.

The resort itself is great for children - plenty of space to run around, pony rides in the afternoon, ducks and rabbits, sand pit, and even a tractor/trailer ride which the kids went crazy for.

We got well priced flights from Coventry to Salzburg. Car hire is a must. Book via their web site rather than Hoseaons as it's a good bit cheaper. Fab place - we will be back!

Fantastic and such good value for money. We rented a 2 bed apartment from this German hotel/aparthotel chain which has been set up solely to cater for the needs of parents with young children (up to 10). We went at New Year and the apartment cost 1200 euros which included 8 hours of child care a day in the most fantastic play area within the aparthotel, so very easy to leave them before going off for a ski. If we'd have wanted they'd have taken the 4 year old to and from ski school but we thought we better do a bit of parenting - although with this outfit you literaly could have let them do everything! Only down side was that the resort was very German and so the kids were in an all German ski school which wasn't always easy and they didnt speak brilliant English in the nursery. However good not to be totally surrounded by Brits when you're on your hols.
