As this was the first time we had been on a ski holiday with a 2 1/2 year old I was wondering what on earth I'd let myself in for!!! But what a fantastic week we had. Chilled mountain was first class - the chalet was very child friendly and the hosts couldn't do enough for us and cooked my litle girl different meals every day (fussy eater!) The resort was small (I prefer this) but had everything you need, the childcare was first rate and we even put her on the smallest set of skis you/ve ever seen. The food was first rate and even though I skied every day I managed to put weight on. Would I recommend it to other mums - absolutely! Would I go again - yes. The whole experience was great - thank you chilled mountain.

I have to share this great find of a ski place. If you love your snow but need a proper holiday without the confines of a hotel, the www.chilledmountain.com chalets are for you. This place is fantastic! In a pedestrian's heaven, great snow on sunny slopes in a vast ski area. The chalets are really well laid out. We went in a party of 10. There are 5 good size double rooms and a tonne of space for the little people to buzz around. The food was excellent as was the wine!!!! The chalet we stayed in is new this year with all the bits for the kids: stairgates, bedguards, toys, use of buggy, sledges and highchairs and all the bits you need. An hour from Grenoble (one and a quarter hour from Lyon) it's a travel delight especially with kids. The village is really friendly with lots to do for non-skiers too:swimming pool, ice skating, cinema, ice climbing, ice driving! There is a creche which takes kiddies from 6 months and can teach the 4 year olds an dup to ski on their own little ski slope. A truly fabulous holiday. This is great value and I'll definately be back.
