We stayed at Avalec August 2011. A dissapointing experience. The house was not particularly clean and we got sickness bugs within a few days. The upstairs accomodation is tiny, ceilings are barely standing height and the problem with mosquitos makes sleeping unbearable, especailly for children. We couldnt open the upstairs window because it is at floor level, such a safetey hazard! Whilst its a charactor property, the amenities inside are very limited and decoration is not what it looks in the photos. The owners live on site and are generally helpful but watch over you. The grounds are superb for children, when the weather is warm enough. The location is very remote, which some may like.

This holiday was fantastic: the 4 bed, 4 bathroom house is set in a huge garden with its private pool and play area. There are fireguards. highchairs, cots, stairgates etc free of charge.

My children adored the freedom that this holiday provided - we have booked again for this year and it is sooooo afordable and the people who own it are really friendly and helpful.

To make things even better when we arrived there was a welcome hamper free of charge - which meant I could relax with a glass of red and leave the shopping until the next day!
