From beginning to end this was a great holiday
Our kids are 8 and 6 and they loved the kids club. Great introduction to sailing and windsurfing. Also loved the pool games and all the other activities on offer. DP got hooked on the sailing& windsurfing and was quite good by the time we went home. All of this meant I could sit by the pool all day and read books (yeap no word of a lie - first holiday ever since DC's)
It did seem that kids of all ages seemed to be having fun especially the teens.
In the evening the kids went to the cinema club and we sat in the bar overlooking the beach drinking far far too much but again a first for us.
Thought the Hotel was great and the buffet really good value.
Top tip do think about booking full board just makes life so much easier.
The Mark Warner staff were amazing very very helpful.
Didn't try the tennis or bikes as far to energetic but they looked good if so inclined.
The only thing I wouldn't recommend was the airline- huge delay on the way back. To be fair MW were great in trying to make the best of a bad situation and in fact we got an extra days holiday
Am definitely going back and would really recommend to anyone with children.

I was apprehensive about putting my kids in childcare to start with, and so were they for the first few days of going, but by the end of two weeks they loved it, they were off sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, playing beach and pool games - amazing.
We had a lovely few hours each day actually reading books, I went to the spa twice, my husband sailed.
Put the kids in the clubs most evenings, which enabled us to eat out together. 3 restaurants - all had reasonable food - it's Greece after all, not really known for being a culinary centre. Well worth paying extra for was the beach BBQ - was lovely. Two really nice bars on the beach - lovely having a beer watching the kids playing on the beach early evening.
Only downside was the terrible flights - 5am departure from Gatwick that was delayed 6 hours and then a 2 hour delay on an 11am flight on the way back.

Visited in July 2010. Was very impressed with the facilities. Excellent service; we were met outside Kos airport, escorted to shuttle bus and luggage was carried straight to room. Rooms cleaned daily to a very high standard.Peaceful beautiful surroundings. Varied buffet dinner every night,
Cons:
A bit expensive for one week with half board. No drinks included and this did add up.
Flight from Gatwick landed at 10pm and didn't get to hotel till after 11. This is tricky when small children travelling.

We've been before with littlies, but after a break of 4 years returned with a 7yo and 9yo. Plenty of activities available and both dc took a RYA sailing course (1-3 tuition) and enjoyed a number of club activities. The rooms have been done up, and some of the bars and restaurants have been revamped, which is one of the things I've always liked. Over our 8 years here, they're always revamping something, unlike some hotels which are built and then allowed to decline. Our room bill came to around 500 Euro for the week (which is what we had expected) including lunch, drinks, icecreams etc. It is nice to have a selection of pools as well as the beach on hand, there was always some activity to do if you want to be active including the gentler aquafit, stretch classes and pilates if mountain-biking and windsurfing aren't for you. With the kids happily occupied, there is even time to read a book or two. when we did want service we found that the MW customer service was better than the hotel, who did have a slight tendency to say no. It was our first time here when the hotel was full, and I have to say that it didn't feel too crowded, though it was more difficult to get reservations for the smaller restaurants.

Visited in Sept 2008. First package holiday we'd ever done, let alone Mark Warner, and our little one (then 3) went down with chickenpox on day one! The staff were fantastic. They arranged one-to-one childcare for us on 3 mornings when they had free staff (at no extra charge), loaned us dvds and toys & genuinely seemed to care that we managed to enjoy the holiday as much as possible. The tennis tuition was great & there was a good range of children's activities. I would echo what another reviewer has said about the children's dining area being chaotic & noisy, and the children's menu being dull & unappetizing - this was the worst aspect of the resort for us. Overall thought good value for money & good staff therefore visiting another MW resort next week.
