Bumgenius Reusable nappies

Friends with children lauighed when I told them I had bought these nappies from the babyshow before DD was born and not convinced I would use them.

How wrong they were - these are the best investment we made!

We have used the v3 one size nappies since my little'un was 2 weeks old. We haven't had any leakage issues except when he's been ill and diarrhoea went everywhere - probably not the nappy's fault! My son is now 7.5 months old & the velcro is a bit tired, but they do sell renewal packs which we will be investing in. My only real concern is the size, we now have them full size & I'm worrying that by the time he's a year old he will have outgrown them.

Good easy to use nappies. At around 4 months we found they leaked at night with the 2 usual boosters - switched to using 4 boosters at night and that solved the problem. Childminder appy to use these, but not keen on our other 2 part nappies. Quick to dry. I dry pail, do a rinse without spin before the wash and then a 60 degree wash with extra rinse at end. Use half usual detergent and on softener. Dry on airer and don't smell. Have enough nappies for weekly wash as bought second hand. Use 4 nappies a day so is a full wash (1 at night and 4 hourly in day).

Like them, but dont love them.

We have the velcro ones and wish I had got poppers now as we have poppers on our Smartipants nappies and much much prefer them. Have just found that the velcro has washed so badly and is all curled up. They still stick just about but look very very ugly. I now dont use these for out and about use!

They are reliable though and we havent had many leaks from them at all.

Be sure to pull the insert out of the pocket before washing though otherwise they bunch up inside and dont get cleaned!

A good nappy overall, but not my favourite.
