iCandy Peach

Stylish, a great drive- but poor value for toddlers!

In summary- great travel system for baby but don't expect to be using it long with a toddler!

I had the icandy peach from birth for my daughter (before it became so trendy!)- the carrycot, the maxi cosi car seat plus adaptors plus the stroller for when she got older.

The carrycot version was great. Really comfy for babies & could be used as a travel cot. Looks great.

The drive of the peach is fab- smooth and easy to steer. Adjustable handles great and high enough for tall people.

My one gripe is it's small front wheels got easily stuck and if that happens the whole pram/ stroller tips forward very violently- if baby were not strapped in would have been a nightmare. This happens more than i like to think about.

But onto the stroller- three issues:

1) too small! my daughter is 18 months and she is too wide and too tall for it!! we are expecting another, i wanted to double up to the peach blossom, no chance now. No she is not a massive fat kid either- yes over average tall but pretty slim. When she has a big coat on no chance of strapping her in.

2) Straps are pretty cheap looking and plasticky and easily tangled.

3)Zip on the footmuff broke very soon after purchasing. Poor.

I’ll get the cons out of the way first: it’s quite pricey and can scuff...That’s about it! You get what you pay for however, and this has been a dream to stroll around with. Not only is it attractive (we have the “Sweet Pea” colour (green and blue) carry cot and I can’t count the number of compliments we’ve received. Aesthetics aside, it’s durable and I find it surprisingly lightweight to use. Its wheels are durable and the folding system is very straightforward and ideal for getting on the bus quickly or in the back of the car quickly. We have a Fiesta so sometimes have to take a wheel off to ensure it fits but the wheels pop off at the press of a button so this is barely an inconvenience.

Our Maxi-Cosi car seat fits perfectly and teamed with the carry cot, Baby Leanne is perfectly happy to drift off in it and not suffer much disruption from us having to fiddle about removing the seat. Everything clicks into place and can be removed so straightforward. On this note – it’s also good to point out, the carry cot doubles up as a perfectly good Moses basket so letting her sleep overnight isn’t a worry.

Overall, I am thrilled with the Peach. We also have the option of transforming it into a double (Peach Blossom) when the time comes, so I see it as an investment of sorts. Well... if it’s good enough for the Beckhams, eh?

The iCandy peach is an eye catching peace of kit! I had previously bought the mamas and papas ultima on xcel chassis and after that this was a breath of fresh air! No problem storing in the house, and the chassis fits behind the 7seats in our zafira, in that tiny bit of boot space!! Shocking! Without needing to take wheels off! The carrycot we also purchased with car seat and adapters which we leave in the car! The Pushchair with foot rest flat also fits behind seats, bit of squeeze but they can both fit.

I love the bright colours, I have the sweetpea, and love the lime and turquoise combination, definate contender to out flash the buggaboo.

It feels safe and sturdy, turns on a small garden path!

I can easily push one handed (over grass) with a child holding onto the Pushchair and a large breed dog in my other hand! Couldn't with m&p.

Only cons I can say is, bit on pricey side, but then u know there will only be limited number of pushchairs quite like yours! You really have to look after chassis as it can scuff easily, the handle does touch the floor when folded, but don't see this as a con as the way it folds is what I needed! Umbrella style folded pushchairs are to long to fit in tiny gap at back of seats :-/

The pushcair seat unit is slightly on small side, but by the time ur lil one is 2.5 he or she will be quite heavy n ready for light stroller (maclaren type) anyways.

I love this Pushchair, and apart from my husbands first impressions of it looking like a golf cart! (can u see what his hobby is :-/) he loves it now too!

I love this travel system - we bought the carry cot, pushchair and car seat adapters and have used all 3! It is so easy to steer and looks really smart - we get loads of compliments on it from people without babies/children.

I was really restricted with my choice of travel system as I have an MX-5 which it had to fit into. I didnt think this would fit as the brochure measurements looked like it would be too big. But the brochure at the time did not mention the dimensions with the wheels off, and it fits in the boot really easily (you just have to use the car seat attachment as the carrycot will not fit in as well).

The downsides:

- chassis can scratch easily

- the handle touches the floor when storing and opening up - which isnt ideal when its raining.

Highly recommend though!
