After much research my husband and I opted for this travel system as it seemed to offer everything we were after and we were impressed at the versatility of the car seat. The system its self works really well, however we have been really let down by the supplier 'PRECIOUS LITTLE ONES' we have had numerous problems with our buggy and they have been impossible to get hold of, slow to reposnd, unhelpful on the phone and dismissive to the point of rudeness! The travle system when working properlly is very good, I think we have just been unlucky in the particular one we had. Would advise that if you do go for this very good buggy, DON'T BUY FROM PRECIOUS LITTLE ONES, even if the price is inviting.
As for its off road capabilty, I pushed ours through a churned up rugby field in the middle of winter on clay soil, the tyres were caped in mud but it kept on going and didn't jolt my 6 weeks old, was very impressed. Word of warning though..the tyres are very tricky to change if you get a flat, would recomend you buy a few puncture repair kits and a maybe even spare wheel.
The car seat is very versatile but don't be fooled by the 'light' version on Matrix light! My daughter was 11lbs 2oz when born and I think the seat weighs something similar on its own, so all in all not the lightest car seat to pick up. We have a maxi cozy too and that is half the weight of the matrix.
The shopping basket is quite same and only really big enough to hold the change bag. But as we bought this buggy due to its off road capabilty and ease for pushing, its a small price to pay.
Would def recomend but choose supplier carefully!

Although expensive I love my Slalom Pro. My grandmother has a huge Farm and we have 2 dogs this is the perfect pushchair for us. I use the Slalom with Matrix car seat for my new born son and we trek for miles across fields and rough terrain. The break system helps when finally coming back from our walks as the hill is very very steep. The Slalom is a big pushchair but very steardy and easy to manevoure, you do need a big boot in your car, but this really isnt a concern as the wheel can detach to make it easier to fit in!
As for the Matrix, Although a little heavy I love the fact my son is able to lay flat on long journeys (We visit family in Scotland alot)and that we do not have to wake him when we are using the pushchair. Overall a very good buy and well worth the money!

I LOVE this system, but agree with the other review that the lie flat option doesn't last that long, my son is out of it at 17weeks. However, he's fine in the upright position. The push chair is so easy to handle, great for the daily dog walk, and he happily goes to sleep in it, as I can get it to recline so far back. I bought this second hand, immaculate condition, for under a £100, they're cheap second hand as not so well known in UK. VERY expensive new!
I'ts v well made, and has withstood a fairly good battering over the past few months, only complaint is that the instructions aren't very comprehensive.

I have this travel system and I have to say I am very disappointed in the lie-flat car seat. My daughter is only just three months old and already I am unable to use the car seat as the design of the straps means they are far too short to fasten around her. She is only 7 kilos, and the manufacturers claim that the seat in its lie-flat position is suitable up to 10 kilos, and 13 kilos upright. She is not a particularly tall baby, but I can no longer fasten the harness in either position. This has meant I have had to spend £95 on another car seat for her which does not fit the Jane chassis. I have no complaints about the pushchair, it's lovely and light to push and really robust, but with hindsight I wish I'd saved some money and just bought a different car seat in the first place.

This is fantastic value for money. This travel system includes the manoeuvrable Slalom Pro and the Matrix Cup lie-flat car seat. The 3-wheeler features multiple backrest positions, 360° steering and a unique hand brake for the front swivel wheel, making it great for more intrepid adventures.
The Matrix Cup can be used as a carrycot, on the chassis or occupying 2 seats of the car, in the lie-flat position, for long journeys. When used as an infant carrier in the sitting-up position, it's suitable for babies up to 12-18 months (13kg).
Everyone asks me where I bought it from as it is and looks such a fantastic piece of equipment. It is easy to use and it means that you don't have to worry about damaging your baby's back by having him sat up in the car all of the time.
It has also won awards for being one of the safest car seats on the market.
