Dream Babies

I read this while I was still pregnant as I thought it would help to get an overview of how advice to parents has changed over the years. The book is very comprehensive and covers the 18th Century to the present day. The historical detail is fascinating but to me the real benefit of the book lies in seeing how "expert" advice changes with the seasons and thus in giving all of us a bit more faith in our ability to take the best advice that we can get but also to trust our instincts that ultimately we know what is best for us and our babies.
