This book identifies seven different parenting styles, and gives ways to use their different approaches to solve common problems like children refusing to do what they are asked, picky eating, bedtime arguments and bullying. It is an easy read and as it gives lots of different approaches to each issue, there is a good chance one might work for you. It is a refreshing change to some parenting books which seem to say there is only ONE way to do things; instead this one recognises that different things work for different people (both parents and children). Occasionally it gets a bit repetitive, but overall it is an easy and interesting read which should give you some new ideas and could help you out of a parenting rut. It is aimed at parents of children from toddlers to teenagers, but as a parent of a 7-month-old I still found it a good read and it has given me some food for thought for the future.
