I love this book, and have recommended it to friends.

It covers pregnancy and the first 9 months of parenthood.

I found the sections on baby's development in-utero inspiring and thought provoking.

The sections on birth are very calming and helpful.

The 'new baby' chapters are also fantastic.

There are lots of Q&A pages too, plus chapters on subjects that often get overlooked (such as siblings and grandparents).

The encylclopedia of baby/mum ailments was invaluable.

The best book on pregnancy. birth and early days parenting that I read.

I didn't rate it. Gordon managed to make both pregnancy and birth seem rather dull - a remarkable feat - and the tone was patronising. Unless you're convinced of the benefits of homeopathy, you may well struggle to find much useful advice.

This book is our bible. Read endlessly during pregnancy, consulted daily when newborn and flicked through regularly now. LOVE its holistic advice and the tone of the writing. If ever you have any doubts, worries or are just interested in general health, development and wellbeing of both mother and child then this is the book for you. The best present you could ever buy a pregnant friend.

This is an absolutely brilliant book that was recommended to me by several friends. Its an 'all-in-one' book and covers every topic you could think for pregnancy and the baby's first year in a sympathetic and easy-to-read way. A must have book for all mums and mums-to-be!
