There was lots of praise for this "sensible," "practical," "realistic" book. "Not perhaps the most PC of books - but its no-nonsense approach helped me!" If you're tearing your hair out shouting 'What are you doing?!?!?' then this is the book for you.

Great read and a gives you a good laugh when you're despairing about why your child is doing annoying things. Especially liked the introductory chapters which give survey results on what toddlers are like (e.g. proportion who are fussy eaters etc.). Helped me understand the motivation behind toddler behaviour which in turn helps you to control it or at least cope with it.

With regards to some of his advice - I don't think you should follow it religiously (same as for most books), but for common sense practicality and reassurance you can't do better.

Fantastic book and very funny. Every time I have problems with my toddler I have a quick read and realise where I'm going wrong and put us back on track. Makes you realise that all toddlers can be demons not just yours!
