We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which overlooked the pool designated for the Beach Club Villas. Rooms are reasonable sized, with a sofa-bed in the living room that sleeps two children very comfortably. Room had a washer-dryer in it too, which was handy.
The biggest selling point was the main swimming pool complex - Stormalong beach - which is almost like a waterpark it is so big. It has an artificial beach, slides, flume, whirlpools etc and a great ice cream shop and snack bar.
You are only five minutes easy walk to Epcot from the hotel, and a boat ride from MGM and the boardwalk. Buses run to all the other Disney parks. Be sure to make the most of the extra magic hours where the parks stay open to Disney resort guests only - an extra hour in the morning and up to three hours in the evening. One park opens early each morning and one each evening.
There is a children's club which seems to be very highly rated on TripAdvisor, but we did not use it.
