Great option for kids and adults alike.'

Penguin Club was fantastic, with great staff, kids shaded pool & play ground, airconditioned indoor play area, organised activities etc. Even though our little one was too young to be left there, we were still able to enjoy the facilities and join in, which was great during the midday heat.

Large hotel & resort, but not too large, and a lot less busy than those in central Dubai.

Room was large and comfortable, and the staff friendly. Only wish is that more hotels worldwide did more for those with younger children like in the US where rooms are baby proofed!

Food's great, although opening times for those wanting to eat with kids was a little restrictive.

Still a very quiet area, although some building work has started, so you are restricted to what's at the hotel or to taking tour operator tours, but if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing beach/pool holiday where the kids are looked after/entertained, then it's great.

Flights to Dubai are bearable in length, and the time change minimal, the only down side is the Hr & half or so drive from Dubai to Al Aqah.
