Lovely - make sure it's the good stuff though - after 9 months of doing without you don't want to burn your throat on cheap burgundy.
Remember to incluse the information that alcohol in breastmilk peaks 1 hour after you have a drink, so feed just before or just after having a drink, and then try to leave it a few hours.

I received a minature bottle of champagne when DC were born which was fab as it was 'just enough' to toast the new arrival and still mad me feel special!

After spending the previous nine months being told by many to avoid wine, it is so nice to be able to enjoy a glass again, particularly with all the visitors coming round. "You will find it hard to find time to cook for the first 3 months and so even if the meal's from a packet, a glass or two of quality wine will compensate". "Buy a bottle that can mature over the next 18 years, so the parents and 18 year old child can share a glass and remember her very first days in the world.
