Iron Man

Now that we have a new baby, we're not able to get out much - especially to the cinema so Iron Man was highly anticipated in our household - and rightly so!

This film was brilliant, much better than I expected. My Fiance is a huge comic book film fan and has now watched this film 6 times over since it was released!

The film sees Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) owning his own business making dangerous weapons. Captured by his foreign customers he suffers bullet shrapnel embedded around his heart. A worker connects him up to a car battery, which repels the shrapnel away from his heart. During this time the pair construct a heavy duty iron suit to enable him to escape from capture without getting killed by gunfire. Stark returns home after escaping and works on new, improved iron suits to defeat his enemies, who find his original design and put up a good fight themselves...
