The perfect film for girls and boys aged around five to eight. It certainly has a cut-off point when they suddenly decide it's no longer cool and a bit naff but before that it's perfect - fun, lots of great songs, a bit of romance and 2 perfect heros in Troy and Gabriella.

We watched this, expecting it to be pretty naff. Of course, it is but it's also lots of fun. The tunes are surprisingly catchy and my niece was captivated (although this might have had something to do with Zac Efron). It was nice to see a film that didn't portray high school as some kind of gangland as well. Very enjoyable.

This is a fun and harmless film, really bright and almost like a cartoon. Keeps my 5 yr old quite for a hour or so - recommended

I wasn't sure if this would be suitable for my 4.6 year old but after finding out that most of her peers had seen it, I caved in to pester power and bought it. Well it is wonderful, she was spellbound, lots of singing and dancing and any romance was very very light so completely suitable for a 4/5 year old.
