I was watching this on the plane journey on the way back from Los Angeles to the UK and it is absolutely brilliant. So brilliant that we bought it on DVD so I could watch it again. It is about two really super super-heroes who have a son who does not have any super powers so he is categorised as a sidekick which he knows his parents would not be happy about so he tries not to tell them. They find out anyway but when he discovers his true power, he uses it in the wrong way and gets into big trouble and ends up in detention (this is up to about 15 minutes into the movie)

We all love this film and it's enjoyed equally by ds, who is 10, and dd, who is four. There are some mildly scary bits they are very mild.
Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston are superhero parents who have a son about to start at High School for superheroes (The Sky High of the title). However, he doesn't actually have any super powers and that's when things start to go wrong at school as the boy is categorised as a sidekick and tries to hide it from his parents.
A lot goes wrong because of some baddies trying to take over the World, AGAIN, but they do all live happily ever after and there are some nice messages about what's important in life.
