Pingu is an eternal favourite. If I ask the kids to choose a DVD, Pingu is one of the few that they'll both want. Not just for girls, not just for boys and still loved at any age!

The fact that there are so few words apart from "Mack, mack", reduces the irritation factor that comes with some favourite dvds. This one seems to appeal to a wide age group (it attracts 8 and 9 year olds) and is actually very watchable for the adults.

Pingu is great. And the best thing about this DVD is the continuous random play setting, allowing you to put it on and leave them to it...

"A good video for young toddlers". "The sound effects are very engaging and the stories are easy to follow". "Not quite as manic as some other toddler videos, so a good one to wind down to". " A must for Pingu fans, and the humour will also appeal to adults - at least in the first viewing!" "Popular in our house but beware, he's a cheeky little penguin so look out for some occasional copycat cheekiness".

"Lots of Pingu dvd's to choose from but the format is always the same, and all are popular in our house." "Lots of interesting noises and great characterisation to keep children glued to the set," "just proves that words aren't necessary to tell a cracking story to a toddler." "So many recognisable aspects of human nature are shown - it's really quite sophisticated." "Like a good book, it plays to a young child's intelligence, and doesn't talk down to them, while being very understandable." " Watch out though Pingu's a cheeky little thing who gets into lots of mischief - be prepared for some copycat naughtiness!"
