Wish I'd had this with my first. None of my three children have been happy sleeping on their own even for five minutes, but with this they sleep a little longer as they can hear me right there. Also because it's so close to hand (i.e. I don't have to get out of bed each time they fuss and it is so easy to pop them back in) I can gently "wean" them over about six months or so into sleeping without being pressed up against mummy as they get reassured I am right there. Baby happy, I get to not be stuck in one position fully co-sleeping all night! Win-Win!

I got the Arms Reach Universal second hand from a well known auction site, and think it's a fantastic product and terrific value. It's not quite as portable as I was led to believe, as its quite heavy and sturdy (and there's some complexity in putting it together). It is also _enormous_, so was important to assess available space next to the bed. We had to rearrange the bedroom to fit it in. I believe there is a mini version, but we went for the full sized one as we didn't want to have to upgrade in a few months time.
This cot appears to hold its value well, and we intend to sell it after it has been outgrown.
I love being able to roll over to comfort baby or grab him for a night feed without getting out of bed.

I used this for both my babies - both c-sections. It was by far the best bit of baby kit I owned (and I owned a lot of bits and pieces over the years!).
The co-sleeper means that your baby is safely next to you - great for night feeds, yet not in your bed if you are worried about actual co sleeping. The co-sleeper was fantastic as I didn't have to bend over to get either baby out for a feed which meant no pain for me - I did try an amby that a friend loaned me but bending over to get my daughter out of a bouncing crib was a total nightmare and hurt quite a bit.
The co-sleeper also folds up like a teeny travel cot so your baby has its own bed wherever you decide to go and also fab for storing between babies (if like me your left gets packed full of bits!) The zipped compartment underneath (and pockets on the side) also store all you need in the way of nappies, wipes muslins etc so anything you might need during the night is right there next to you!
I really recommend this wholeheartedly as a fantastic, does what it says on the tin, USEFUL piece of baby equipment - especially if you have a c-seciton or are breastfeeding at night!

Loved it - highly recommend this. Again works as travel cot too and makes safe co-sleeping.

Having had a caesarean this cot was brilliant as it meant I could lift baby in and across to breast feed without getting up at night. Used it next to the bed for 8 weeks and then we reconfigured it to a proper 4 sided cot, which worked really well until about 18 months when unbelievably she climbed out.
