To be honest was highly unimpressed especially for the price. The positioning for the baby is not great they are held in place via the crutch area and not supported in order to keep the optimum position of being knee to knee. The straps are not comfortable and even with a small baby they pull on the shoulders. There are many more options for similar or less price which are better for myself and the baby. Just one 5 minute walk to the bus stop and back and my back was aching. There is no option to wear on the back either so when baby gets bigger then you have to keep them facing your chest and my sons all liked to see what is going on and as forward facing again has been reported as not being good for babies spine it limits the carrier.

I used this for my 3 week old when he had to travel overseas(12 hours!) she slept in it the entire flight! It has great back support, which was great for the long lines and walking in the airport. i got it [[http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018BF8MA?ie=UTF8&tag=thebabess-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0018BF8MA here]] on amazon

I put my daughter in this from just being about a week old and we both really loved it. As soon as she started to bulk out (about 6-8 months) I started to get back ache.
I loved this to start with because I knew of nothing else, but now I've tried other slings, I'm not sure I'd purchase this again.
Hope this helps

AMAZING! I spent quite a bit of time researching slings and decided on the Baby Bjorn. I have used it for 7 months now and love it. My Nan wanted to buy it as a present and got me the Synergy in white, as my son was born at the beginning of June this year and it was hot! The back support makes it really comfy, although I am not sure how much better the 'sporty' fabric is, as I have not tried the 'normal' fabric one. It washes really well and dries very quickly, so no need for the extra bib things. My partner is not a lot taller than me, yet has a very broad chest (a bit like an upside down triangle!), whilst I am more 'rounded' (!!) and it easily adjusts to fit both of us. IT seems a bit tricky to get on and get baby in at first, but you very quicly realise that it is just like putting a backpack on and doing 4 bits up around your baby. After a few attempts it is easy to put your baby in and out by yourself (and it is really funny watching someone who doesn't know how to do it trying by themself!). I used the sling from birth and worried at first that my son might suffocate in my inflated cleavage, but that didn't happen - although it did get a little warm and it was more comfortable to wear a top that covered my chest where his face was, so that we didn't end up in a slimey dribbly mess! The sling is perfect for dog walking, or when you need to be 'hands free' - I have two big dogs so it means I could happily walk with both dogs and a wriggly baby under control. Whilst still facing inwards, my baby would fall asleep within a couple of minutes of being in the sling. Now he faces outwards, which he loves as he is quite nosey and grins at everyone, although he does like to try to chew the straps that go over his shoulders, but I guess that can't be helped, he chews everything else, so why not his sling! The other day I borrowed a friends carrier, it was not a comfy as the back straps just crossed over and I felt that my baby was not secure as he was not held against my tummy - I am unsure of the make, but it was no where near as good as the Bjorn. My son is now 7 months old and weighs 8.2 kilos, I find him quite heavy to carry or hold in my arms for longer lengths of time, yet I can carry him for ages in his sling and hardly notice the extra weight. It will be a shame when he is too heavy for the sling, as it is great if I am just nipping from the car to the bank etc and don't want to get my buggy out, but need to be able to use my hands! Would definately recommend. Only negative point would be that when my baby is facing outwards, the bit which was the head support is supposed to fold down, but mine keeps flipping up! (But is does act as a good wiond break and my baby doesn't seem to mind!). I have top rated this item as there isn't wnything I would change and whilst it isn't cheap, I have used it so much I think it is well worth the money.

My baby loves being carried around in this. And it is very easty to use. Now baby is three months old he can face outwards and see the world. I have taken him on very long walks but I overdid it once with a 3 hour walk and pulled a muscle in my shoulder which put me off it for a couple of weeks. Baby is quite happy to fall asleep in the sling or quietly look around and it is nice to be able to talk to him and kiss his head and hold his hands and feet when you are out walking. The only downside is that it is very hot. I was tempted to buy the synergy because since I was pregnant my temperature has gone up but I thought that it would just be hot from the baby. But it also gets hot around the back which is not so comfortable for summer. Baby's nappy area got particularly hot in which was slightly worrying but didn't seem to bother him.
