I just didn't get on with this sling. I thought it would be excellent, but was sorely disappointed when it arrived and the instructions consist of half a page. I didn't feel safe putting it over my shoulder then putting the baby in so looked up some Youtube videos - still none the wiser to be honest.
My baby was on the large side born, but I couldn't carry him in this sling for longer than about half an hour as it began to hurt my neck and back. Also, I felt that it sort of banged against my chest as I walked which I felt was not comfortable. Lastly, my baby's head was not very close to me and with the warning about this type of sling I was apprehensive about using it. Also it was pretty costly.
I sent this back and purchase a Kari-Ne instead which I much prefer.

I used a babasling for the first year of my little boys life, and occasionally into his second year. It takes a few goes to get used to it, and you need to have it set up right, but just keep adjusting it and you when you get it right you will wonder what you did without it. My husband used it too which was great, and we used to swap the baby over with him in the sling sometimes!
My little boy loved the sling, it would soothe his tears and he fell asleep in it with ease. If we ever had trouble getting him to sleep for a nap in the day i would just 'sling him' and all would be calm again.
As he gold older I used it with him upright in it, and he was very happy, chatting away with the people we met and snuggling in with me for a cuddle at he same time. I found it very comfy, but I think you do need to be fit to use one for any length of time, and a friend of mine who was blessed with a large chest says she can't use it as its filled up with boobies before she even gets the baby in it, so bear this in mind!
When my husband was rushed into hospital we tagged along with my little boy happily tucked in his babasling clutching his bottle of milk. It made a day in hospital very easy to do as I had my hands free and he was happy.
I'm kinda sad he doesn't fit in it anymore! So now we have an ergo carrier as I do love to carry him and soft structured carriers like this are so comfy,

I had high hopes for this sling after reading the reviews here but sadly it didn't work for me or my son. I just could not work out how to get him in it so that he didn't look completely squashed! In fact just getting him in was a struggle and he's a very pliable and accommodating child. As to being able to breastfeed in it, how?! I just can't see how it's possible. I tried following the directions for different carrying positions but just found it boggling. Sorry, this one is not for me.

Babasling did not work for me as I have an injured shoulder and I would say that it won't work with a problem like this as the weight is not distributed across the back. The customer service I have received from Babasling has been absolutely appalling. I returned the item by recorded delivery, they have not acknowledged receipt and have not replied to my letter. I have emailed them and they have not replied to my emails and the emails to their stated account are rejected by hotmail. I spent a lot of money of this Babasling and they are now quids in with a returned, unused Babasling that they can sell on to someone else and I am out of pocket. I am absolutely disgusted by their service and feel thoroughly duped by the woman at Babasling that I spoke to on the telephone who said it would be fine to return. Don't buy if you are in teh least doubt that it might work, because you won't get your money back. And to be honest, I thought I'd lost my baby in there, there are so many folds of fabric.

This Sling is absolutely fantastic! It helped me so much when my little girl was a baby and beyond. It takes the strain of your back and is so easy and versatile to use and was an absolute godsend when breastfeeding especially out and about as you can conceal the baby and your modesty! I used to walk around and feed all of the time and no one was any the wiser and it just makes all of those daily chores so much easier as you have your hands free and baby still gets the comfort of being close to you. Would definitely recommend this product mine is safely stored ready for our next little one : )
