Lifft Baby Sling

This was by far and away the best baby related purchase I made. One year on and I am still using it daily. I trialled several slings with a company called Boo Coo (primarily reusable nappy business) and the Lifft sling was easily the best. It is so simple- just a wide fabric hoop which you fold in half and house your infant in the (reinforced) crease,cuddled against you. It is very safe and snug, with a lying position for newbies and a sitting position for toddlers. It is washable- hurrah! No rings, ties or complications. My only slight criticism is is seems quite expensive, but then again, it is very well made and also a very attractive accessory, I am always complimented on it whilst out and about. Folds up so small will easily fit in a handbag- so great to nip to the shops without all the buggy hoo-hah. Also good in the early days for having two hands around the house. I was interested to hear from the other reviewer that it is good for petite mums- I had the opposite problem, was a hefty 16-18 at the end of pregnancy with enormous boobs, but this was the most comfortable sling for my shape too.

As I am extremely petite i have had difficulty finding a sling to fit, but this sling is sized to fit and fits me perfectly. I have used it every day since my dd was born and can even breastfeed in it. I have also carried my 2 year old in it. A fabulous design which is very easy to use and it has really saved my life! I don't know how I would have coped without it in the early days as you really can look after your other children whilst carrying your newborn in it.
