Britax Duo Plus

Just bought this seat. Its fantastic!

Instructions are very clear and it is so easy to install. There is no chance of any error and it fits like a glove!

The seat itself is lovely, deep and padded, the material is excellent quality and it looks very very comfy.

The only downside is that its very heavy and i can imagine it being cumbersome to move from car to car - saying that, its not relevent to us as ours will stay fixed in the one car.

Just to add to my previous review - my daughter can slide her arms out if of the straps if she's not wearing a coat (even when done up very tight) which is extremely worrying

Bought this because of the Isofix mechanism and it is great once it's fitted as you know it won't budge an inch.

Not always easy to fit first time though if moving between cars, and the air has been blue on a couple of occasions because the mechanism won't lock (it's erratic). It's also very heavy to move.

I wouldn't purchase it if you don't have isofix as we've never been able to get a good fit using the seatbelt.

Also, the harness adjustment strap has frayed very badly after only 18mths which now makes it hard to adjust and we will have to buy a new seat. (Britax have said they can re-harness it for £25 but we would need to send back to the factory and we can't manage without a seat for the length of time it would take).

Overall, great if you want to fit in just one car and forget about it, and if you don't need it to last longer than 18mths or so.

We have just bought a Britax Duo Plus Isofix and cannot believe how solidly and easily this fitted into our car. It really feels so safe and our little boy loves it as the covers are so soft (suede) and the fact that it reclines means he can still snooze if he wants to. I would highly recommend this seat, the price seems to be coming down on these now a bit, we got ours from a local retailer for £150 which is very reasonable for such a secure, safe and easy to fit car seat.
