I bought this car seat with the isofix base thinking it was one of the better car seats with the lay flat option which I have not used in seven months and can't wait for my daughter to grow into the next stage seat. This seat is so heavy I have not been able to lift it for a long time even a short distance, my daughter weighed 9lb 4oz born so this seat was a struggle to maneuver to begin with. I have resorted to keeping it in the car and putting her straight into it.

I have also found that my daughters head frequently falls forward due to the seat being so upright and I have had to stop on journeys to try to put her head back. I attempted to return to mamas and papas store but was reassured that head falling forward was not a problem?

Putting my daughter into the car seat was a challenge as it is a very snug fit and I struggle to tuck any blankets in and putting a coat on is out of the question. However most of the time my daughter appears to be comfortable in it.

My baby at 5 1/2 months is a very tight fit.

He gets hot in it - his little back is drenched when you get him out.

It is very heavy and very awkward to carry. I too have very bruised legs.

His head sometimes slumps forward then wobbles around over his head because it is so upright. I then have to stop the car and attempt to wake and readjust him.

I did like the lie flat feature (it isn't completely flat) but putting into 'lie flat' generally woke him up. I wish I had bought the maxi cosy...

Initially we thought it was great as it fitted onto the Herbie travel system we bought and when our son was a newborn he seemed secure and comfortable in it. However, he is approaching four months old and is now uncomfortable. It is too narrow and he cried whenever we put him in it. The other major problem is that it is so heavy. I can now hardly lift it with him in it. The edges of the seat are not smooth and so when you carry it it hurts as it bangs against your legs! We have just bought a Maxi Cosi to replace it. Our son is much happier and I can carry it comfortably. Unfortunately it doesn't fit onto the chassis of the Herbie though!
