Maxi Cosi is a good quality car seat, we used this until my son was almost 11 months old. The buckles are a little hard to snap for first time mommies like me, especially if the baby is wiggly, but I'm sure most car seat buckles are not easy to snap. The accessories that go with Maxi Cosi are awesome, especially the infant footmuff wrap for cold winter days. Overall, I love the Maxi Cosi and fits perfectly with the Quinny stroller.

I have used this car seat for 7 months now, apparently my baby is bang on average height and weight for his age and he still looks comfy and safe, although I am sure it won't be long before we are looking for the next stage seat. He isn't cramped width ways at all, although does reach and push against the actual cars seat with his feet, but I think this would be the same with any backwards facing seat. This car seat is heavy to carry and I avoid it at all costs, but I guess the 8kg of baby is not helping, so probably all are heavy! I bought this seat as he could lie flatter, which is supposed to be better for them when they are new borns, although he does now try wedge his elbows behind him when he first gets put in the seat as he wants to look around I guess, but he is fine once he lies back and starts playing with his toys that hang from the 'roll' bar! I find the seat easy to fit in the car and can get it in and out quite quickly, probably as quick as any other seat. My partner moans everytime he has to do it as he forgets to clip the seat belt in first. My baby gets quite hot in his seat, but I just dress him accordingly and keep a little blanket in the car. It takes up quite a bit of room in the car as it is quite long, so its not so comfy for my 6ft5 brother if he is sitting infront of the car seat, but everyone else seems to be ok! Pricewise, they all seemed to be of a similar price in the shop I went to.

It's easy to get lo in and out if you don't remove the seat from the car each time as the belt goes underneath the seat. No fiddling with rethreading straps each time lo grows as moving the head rest forward and up does it. It clicks easily onto the loola frame with no fixing kit needed.

I've been using this for 6 months now, I've found it good although it will not last my son much longer he looks squashed in (he's 20lbs now) so will only last half the expected time. However the time I've used it I've found it easy to use, baby looks Safe & happy, sleeps every car journey we take. It's heavy to carry around as are all car seats. Clicks onto the loola easily without adding extra parts and looks really good lots of comments. There is a base available and makes putting it in the car much quicker & easier. Can be used for a snooze too as it can be easily rocked.

The strap mechanism broke, meaning that when I tightened the strap it actually wasn't tightened but seemed like it was. In an accident, this could result in a very serious injury or worse.

The replacement seat did exactly the same. Check out the flimsy bit of plastic over the strap where you pull - if you pull your strap up to tighten rather than just outwards, you too could end up with the same problem.

Please ensure that you check the straps are tight across you baby's body everytime if you have this car-seat.
