This is a very special campsite. There is space for tents, caravans and campervans at the top of the site - this is near the toilets (2 for the ladies) and the showers (2 in total). Then down a steep track to the main camping field - which is MASSIVE! An extremely picturesque spot, with no other buildings in sight expect for one house nearby. There is also car-free camping field available. You are sharing the field with sheep, so naturally there is sheep-poo around. The field has firepits strewn around and logs are available at £5 per bag. There is also a compost toilet near the lower fields, which wasn't as stinky as I thought it would be. The owners took over in September 2007 and are working on improving the facilities, but I wouldn't expect a massive shower block! The showers are in the same room as the washing up area and the honesty 'shop' (bread, milk, beans, etc and most importantly chocolate!). Lots to do in the area and you can access a level walk along the estuary from the site.
Quite a basic site which doesn't score well on facilities - but truly is amazing as it is set in such a beautiful area.
