Camping Les Dunes, Bretignolles sur Mer, The Vendee, France

This was a great site for my Teenagers. Only two English companies go there (Matthews Holidays & Carisma) so predominantly French, but the English kids just found each other and bonded well. No lager louts!!

The site borders the sand dunes and is only a five minute stroll to the beach (Exits all around the site). You can also walk to a few small restaurants or a Parc des Attractions that is aimed at younger kids but the teens all went together and had a fun day out (sans adults!).

There is nightly entertainment - mainly singers/groups (all French) if you feel so inclined. We left that to the kids and had quiet evenings outside our van - which had a huge pitch so plenty of space.

You can get there in 5 easy hours from Caen/Cherborg.
