La Pointe St. Gilles, Bénodet, Brittany, France

Absolutely fabulous. One of the best holidays of my life. We went in summer 09, with DS who was 2. Lovely park, perfect for pre schoolers, really close (15min walk) to Benodet town, which is lovely. The only down side was that the pool was not that warm, and DS got cold v quickly. Would definitely recommend. Oh, and I recommend a day out in Quimper, beautiful old town.

This site has a new water park which is great. The entertainment on site is good but the pitch sizes can be a bit on the small side for me. I prefer a more spacious campsite. Lovely site with fantastic indoor/outdoor pool complex which is great if weather not so good ! Little sandy cove opposite - beach shoes required & lots of seaweed but good for rock pools etc. Pitch excellent - we travelled with another family through eurocamp and were placed in a group section of 4 caravans which meant the younger kids could run freely between the caravans without worrying about cars. In the last week of the season the site closes down - the shop stops selling fresh produce and kids facilities close.

Stayed in a Keycamp static caravan. Lovely location, and across a quiet road to a small sandy beach (need to wear sandals - small spiny fish in sand). Good outdoor pool complex, and the pitches are reasonable size and tree lined (I think it may have been an orchard). Benodet is a great central starting point for exploring southern Brittany.
