Lake Como is beautiful. No wonder the rich and famous flock there. Domaso is on the northern end and more 'beach and surfer' than 'villa and George Clooney' but all the better for it. For those who partake (and we don't, but had a great time nonetheless) there is a constant breeze here (la breva) which means that sailors, windsurfers and kiteboarders find this a mecca.

The site itself boasts a great pool, level and grassy sites, and the cleanest bathrooms this side of Buckingham Palace. The reception has a poolside bar where one can take a beer or a real cappuccino (for less than a quid!!). Very child friendly, the campsite is run by a local family who speak Italian, German, and some English. Very nearby are two well stocked and convenient grocery stores, as well as a bank machine, and an assortment of other stores, ranging from boutiques to touristy tat emporiums.

Restaurants are abundant and deeeeeelicious, again spanning the spectrum from cheap and cheerful to rustic and romantic.
