The site has a wonderful waterpark with large slides, wave machine, waterchutes ideal for older children. There are two smaller pools ideal for younger children with slides. There is also a sauna for the adults. My five children loved it,with children ranging in ages from 14 to 3 years they were all catered for in the waterpark. The changing rooms had familly changing rooms which are ideal for yourself and little ones to get changed in.On the site there was a theme park which you had free entry into, here again there was plenty to keep teenagers, dads and toddlers happy and my favourite word it was - 'free!'

This was a great place to have a family holiday. We have three children of 2, 9 and 12 and there was loads to do for all of them. Also, most of the activities are free, which made it a relatively inexpensive holiday. There is a great pool complex with about 12 different kinds of water slides and other features and also an amusement park on site with loads of rides from miniature trains to scary rollercoasters. There are also great playgrounds dotted about with a wide variety of slides/roundabouts etc. A real bonus for us as the lovely, clean, sandy beach which is about 10 minutes drive away (or you can cycle on the cycle path). The beach was dotted with beach cafes which all had play equipment so we could sit and have a leisurely beer while the kids played in the sand. The nearby town is only 5 minutes walk and is very pretty with a wide range of shops and cafes. We stayed in a duingalow which we booked direct with the park through their website (there is an English version.) This looked like the best kind of accommodation and was in the quietest area. The duingalows were grouped around a playground where the kids congregated in the evening and played while we could sit on our little patio and have a glass of wine. All the Dutch speak perfect English and are very friendly. The kids think it was their best holiday ever and want to go back next year. Highly recommended

We have been to Duinrell three times and are going again this Easter (2010). If you have young children you probably don't need to leave the park as everything you could want is on the site. Shops, restauarant (expensive but okay), take-away (expensive, not okay), pub, cashpoint, doctor (hope you don't need one), theme park with free entry and rides for toddlers to teenagers to go on, huge (and I mean huge) waterpark which in the past was free to Eurocamp and Keycamp customers, but now we have to pay 3.50 euros to use for two hours (I agree with a previous review, the two hours is from the minute you buy the ticket to the minute you put it through the machine at the exit and if you are over two hours they will charge more). We go into Amsterdam each time we visit, using the park and ride at Sloterdick, and have been to the gardens at Keukenhof (which are amazing and there are plenty of places for the children - young and not so young - to run around). Ohh, I could go on and on about how great this holiday is (by the way, we have only gone for 3 nights (and a four night) at a time, I think that is plenty and leaves you wanting to go back.

Excellent holiday, adaquete mobile home and lots to do. We love the pool (lazy river, etc) and lots of free activities at adjacent theme park (pedalos, ferris wheel, roller coaster, mini train, etc). We absolutely loved it.

We have been to Duinrell twice, both times booking direct and staying in the site-owned "Duingalows", which are very nice (but have no oven, which we noticed AFTER we had bought frozen pizzas in the supermarket). Weather was fab on both visits.

It is a great holiday for kids. Loads to keeep them amused, most of it free (themepark, good playgrounds, nearby beach) or at least relatively cheap (fantastic swimming pool/slides complex, some attractions in the themepark have a nominal charge). It is our kids favourite holiday and they have been to many european campsites over the years. The restaurant is not good though, and the on-site takeaway is even worse. Luckily there are plenty of places to eat in the lovely little town of Wassenaar across the road. The pancake house next to the site entrance is very good too.

There was no night time entertainment to speak of at all when we were there but that suited us fine. Our boys played out with the neighbouring kids in the playground beside the Duingalows every night until dark and made loads of new friends.

The Netherlands is absolutely lovely and everyone we met was so helpful and friendly (and fluent in English). We went to Madurodam (Holland in miniature) in Den Haag, and to the space expo in Nordwijk - or possible Kaatwijk - can't quite remember which! But both were great. To be honest we had intended to see and do and bit more but it was hard to drag the kids away from the site, they were having such a good time.

I would highly recommend Duinrell to anyone and I fully expect that we will spend at least one more holiday there before our children get too big for it.
